Chapter Text
Chuckie reluctantly gave Tommy a hoodie and the two boys followed Kimi downstairs where Lil, Chaz and Kira were gathered at the kitchen table. “Why hello Tommy” Kira smiled as the boys made their way to the table. “Hi Mrs. Finster” Tommy waved as he gently pulled his chair out and sat down. “How was the concert?” She asked while the girls quietly talked amongst themselves, watching intently. “It was fantastic!” Tommy exclaimed. As Tommy talked about the concert, Chuckie grabbed Tommy and himself plates and as he grabbed a few pieces of pizza he felt the stares from Kimi and Lil. Chuckie did his best to swallow his nervousness and slowly raised his hand. “H-hey, Mom and Dad?” Chuckie gulped. “Yes Chuckie?” They both asked in unison. “I, uh, I just, uh” Chuckie stammered, as his brain and tongue were in an eternal struggle. Just as he got everything under control he felt a hand pat his shoulder. “How did you ask him out, Chuckie?” Chaz asked with a smile. Tommy practically choked on his pizza when he heard Chaz, while the girls could be heard giggling amongst themselves. “B-how?” Both boys stammered. “Did you two tell them?”
Before the girls could respond, bouts of laughter erupted from the parents. “No, the girls didn’t tell us anything, it was easy to tell from that grin Chuckie had on his face when he came downstairs.” Kira chuckled. Chaz wrapped his arm around his wife and chimed in. “OR how he has been looking at Tommy all googly-eyed” Chaz smirked. Chuckie covered his eyes in embarrassment, while Tommy puffed up his cheeks and crossed his arms, feeling his face heat up. “Anyway, how did it go?” The boys told them how it went down. Them asking at the same time, the song, the concert. “That’s wonderful you two” Kira smiled and pinched their cheeks. “When are you two going to tell the rest of the gang?” she asked. “Oh I still have to tell my parents too” Tommy realized. “We’ll have to worry about that later, but as for the group” Lil pondered. “OH! I just got the perfect idea!” Kimi chirped. “What's the idea?” the other teens asked.
“Water park” Kimi smiled.
The Next Day
“Wake up Tommy!” Chuckie shouted gleefully. Tommy tugged on the comforter, letting out a soft snore. “Five more minutes...” Tommy snored. Chuckie rolled his eyes and playfully pulled the comforter off. Tommy whined and curled into a ball. “Ok Chuckie, I’m awake...” Tommy grumbled. Chuckie laughed and gently ruffled Tommy’s purple hair. “Good, cause we are apparently going to Raging Waters!” Chuckie squealed. Tommy gasped as he rubbed his eyes. “That's awesome!” Tommy gasped. “Um, when we leave can we swing by my house so I can grab my swimsuit?” Tommy tapped his fingers together. Chuckie nodded and grabbed his backpack and started throwing in sunscreen, towels for the both of them. The backpack stuffing came to a halt as both of their phones started blaring. “It’s a group call, I’ll get it!” Chuckie said and grabbed his phone. “Hey everyone!” Kimi beamed as she was doing her hair. “Hey” the group of teens said in unison. “Where’s Lil and Tommy?” Suzie asked. “Present!” Lil squeaked and Kimi tilted her phone to show Lil also doing her hair. “Here” Tommy did his best to say as he was brushing his teeth. Chuckie moved his head so Tommy could be seen and he gave a little wave. “Double sleepover, nice” Suzie smiled. “So when you come and get us Suzie, could you swing us by Tommy’s so he can grab his swimsuit?” Chuckie asked. “That shouldn’t be a problem,” Suzie smiled as she finished packing up her bag. “I’m about to leave and get Phil, so I should be at your house in about fifteen minutes, Kimi.” With that, the call was dropped and Tommy helped Chuckie get their water park supplies together.
“Tomkie! Suzie’s here!” The girls yelled as they headed out to the silver minivan outside. “We gotta go,” Tommy grunted as he jumped up from the bed. Chuckie threw the backpack on and the two of them bolted down the stairs, just barely catching the front door before it latched. “Bout time you guys showed up” Phil stuck his tongue out as the other two boys made their way to the van, both practically out of breath, well, one more so than the other. “And Chuckie wins by a landslide!” Phil motioned his arms like an umpire calling a runner safe. “You used to be as fast as him Tommy, what happened?” Phil teased as the boys sat down next to him. Chuckie couldn’t help but laugh as Tommy stuck his tongue out in response. “Alright kiddos, we have to stop at Tommy’s house first” Suzie looked into her rearview mirror, trying to do her best stern parent expression. “Suzie, you’re not THAT much older than us” Phil retorted. “So, you’re a kiddo too” Suzie rolled her eyes in response, but couldn’t help but smirk. After an uneventful drive, the gang pulled into Tommy’s driveway. “I’ll be as quick as I can” Tommy quickly unbuckled and slid the rear door open and sprinted to his front door. As Tommy slipped inside, Kimi and Lil turned around, facing the remaining two boys in the backseat. “Soo, you boys ready to have some fun?” Lil asked. Kimi did her best to stifle a laugh as Phil’s face twisted and contorted. “That was the absolute worst way to ever ask that question” Phil grumbled, burying his face in his palms. “Maybe try something like are WE all excited to have some fun at the PARK?” Chuckie nodded in agreement as Lil scoffed and tried to hide her embarrassment. “I hate to say it, but the boys are right,” Kimi admitted with a giggle. As the group of teens talked amongst themselves Chuckie noticed out of the corner of his eye the front door of the Pickles residents slowly opened and Tommy waved his parents goodbye and carefully shut the door. He was in a blue t-shirt with his blue and yellow swim trunks. The sound of Tommy’s front door slamming shut caught Chuckie’s attention and the red head had to immediately hide his blushing face. Tommy was full sprinting, well, sprinting was a bit of a stretch, more like running as his chunky body would let him. “Sorry that took so long guys, I had to help my dad with one of his new inventions” Tommy huffed as he quickly shut the door and slumped next to Chuckie.”It's all good Tommy, you did make sure I have everything?” Chuckie asked, just making sure as Tommy would have done the same for him. Tommy nodded and pulled his backpack onto his lap. “See? Swim trunks, towel, sunscreen and a water shirt.” said Tommy as we rummaged through his backpack as Suzie carefully reversed out of the Pickles driveway and made their way to the park. As the group in the back talked amongst themselves as Suzie finally made her way to the park entrance after what felt like hours inching in this massive kerfuffle of traffic. “We got six for the park and here is our pre-paid parking” Suzie smiled as she passed the parking pass to the parking attendant. “I thought we were gonna help pay for everything?” Tommy asked. “To my surprise, Angelica covered most of it, I have no idea why, but she did.” said Suzie as she pulled away from the attendant, pass in hand. “That’s the weirdest thing Angelica has ever done. Like why?” Lil questioned. Phil just shrugged and went back to chatting with Tommy and Chuckie. The van came to a nice slow stop and the engine abruptly cut off. “Alright kiddos, grab your things and let's have some fun!” Suzie beamed. “I promised Didi and co that I would make sure you guys are air tagged just because of how busy it's gonna be today.” The teens disgruntledly agreed and they all put on their air tag bracelets. “Let’s get changed.” said Tommy as the blue haired boy tightened his backpack straps. “Yeah let’s go” Chuckie smiled and the three boys headed off to their changing room while the girls went to theirs. “So we're gonna do our own thing or just chill in the lazy river like the girls?” Phil asked while shoving his street clothes into his backpack. “I figured we would actually go on rides and stuff” Tommy answered while tugging his water shirt down. The other boys voiced their agreement and carefully stored their backpacks in the lockers except their towels. “What do you guys want to go on first?” Chuckie asked as they trudged through the crowd. “Let’s go on the big one!” Tommy yelped as he pointed at one of the massive slides. “Last one there has to thank Angelica!” Phil teased as he sprinted in that direction. “Hey!” The other boys squeaked as Chuckie bolted after him with Tommy in toe. Phil's laughter was slowly getting lost in the crowd, but thankfully he was still in Chuckie’s sights, however, Tommy was getting left in the dust, the thought of which kinda made Chuckie blush. Chuckie did his best to manage his speed so he could still see Phil and Tommy, as they finally got close to the gate Chuckie carefully dipped into a crowd of people, hoping Tommy didn’t spot him. “Damn Tommy, wasn’t expecting you in second” Phil chuckled as Tommy did his best to gather his breath. “M-me nether, where is Chuckie?” Tommy panted and wiped the sweat from his brow. Chuckie let out a sigh of relief, he thought Tommy would start to fade into that funk of hating his body, or at the very least get frustrated with himself. “Here!” Chuckie called out as he made his way to the line where they were waiting. The boys chit chatted as the line slowly, at a rate that would make a glacier blush as the sun beat down on them. “This sucks....” Tommy whined as the beads of sweat seemed never ending. “God it literally feels like I’m melting.” Tommy jumped slightly as he felt his water shirt get tugged. “This black water shirt probably isn’t helping Tommy.” Chuckie added. “I know why y-” Chuckie was cut off by a very enthusiastic Phil. “Take it off!” Phil chanted. Tommy felt his whole face immediately heat up as he imagined hundreds of eyes fall onto him.
“Take it off!”
“Take it off!!”
“TAKE IT OFF!!!”
Chuckie could feel the embarrassment radiating from Tommy and just as he squeezed his eyes shut and took a step towards his boyfriend the crowd absolutely erupted, causing Chuckie to open his eyes just in time. Chuckie could feel his freckled cheeks immediately start to glow as he watched an even more flustered Tommy cave and as fast as he could ripped the water shirt over his head, causing Tommy’s chest to ripple like the softest bowl of jelly Chuckie could imagine. “Let’s fucking go!!” Phil and one of the older teens screeched. A bunch of the random kids started patting Tommy on the back and the sense of relief flooded Chuckie as even though his face was still as red as a stop sign, the expression on Tommy’s face went from immense tension to such relief. “Dang Tommy, I knew you had gotten a bit bigger, but not gonna lie I wasn’t expecting this.” Teased Phil as he gently used his left hand to lift and drop the purple haired boy’s belly. Chuckie tensed up and just as he took a step forward Phil immediately added to his last statement. “N-not like that's a bad thing Tommy.” Phil reassured Tommy. Chuckie walked up and gently placed his hand onto the shorter boy's shoulder. Tommy rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment and to Chuckie’s surprise actually let out a tiny chuckle. “I, uh, appreciate the words of encouragement Phil.” Tommy lightly chuckled. “I-I’m trying to get better with my self esteem a-”
“He’s doing so much better now” Chuckie chimed in and flashed a bracey smile. Tommy struggled to hide his flustered face and couldn’t help but let out the tiniest giggle. “I hate to change the subject, but let’s continue this amazing pep talk AFTER we go down this sick slide” Phil smiled as the ride attendant gestured at the boys that it was their turn. “I got dibs on middle!” Phil hollered as he quickly got into position while Tommy and Chuckie let out playful sighs and went left and right. “Are we ready? The attendant asked. With three thumbs up the attendant smirked and hit the green button. “Go!”
“Let’s go!” The boys shrieked.
