And she spun and jumped and laughed while the rain soaked her. It was falling on Elsa too, but she’d stopped paying attention. She was watching Anna in the rain, watching her swing her hair around and around, smile and laugh and throw her head back so the water would touch her face.
And suddenly Elsa thought she was beautiful.
It was a quick thought, fleeting. There one second and gone the next. But the word, the feeling, echoed in her head like a bell.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful…
Anna was still spinning, still laughing and smiling at Elsa while the rain pelted them. And something irreversible shifted inside of Elsa. Something was different now. The invisible change had come.
Anna was beautiful.
