would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Summary:

Wednesday got closer. "What if I wanted you to have a taste?"

Yoko groaned and looked at Wednesday's exposed neck. "We haven't even kissed yet."

"That's true, I would like a kiss."

Work Text:

Viper blasts through the wall to find Amarande chained up. Viper huffs and says, "Why do you get yourself in these situations," as she cuts the chains.

Amarande smirks. "Because I know you will rescue me, babe."

Shadowmoon walks through the broken wall. "Let's get out of here!" She heals Amarande and they rush through the halls together.

Enid got up for the third time in the last hour. "Sorry, I just can't get enough of this juice!" She ran into the bathroom.

Wednesday laid on the floor. "I don't know why I agreed to this if it takes an hour to do one thing."

Divina laughed. "I've been a DM for a lot of campaigns, trust me, this is the most efficient group I've ever had."

Yoko laid parallel and upside down to Wednesday. "At least you saved me, what could I ever do to repay you?" She batted her eyes.

"You can start by not gambling with our money ."

"Oh! Hey, you don't know about that, that's between me and the DM."

Wednesday sighed, she could never separate the game from real interactions. "Right, so all of the flirting you do isn't with me?"

   "Uh, well, I guess not."

Wednesday feigned a sigh. "I really thought that we were getting somewhere."

Yoko sat up. "Oh! Uh, well–"

Enid burst in. "Oh, Man! It was like a waterfall!"

They didn't talk about the little flirting session they had until the next day. Yoko stopped Wednesday as she walked through the courtyard and said, "Hey, Wednesday, do you have a minute?"

Wednesday looked at a clock on the wall. "I have two minutes."

"Okay! Yeah, so about yesterday." Yoko shuffled her feet for a few moments. "Uh, would you be okay with me flirting with you?"

   "Hmm, that depends."

   "On?"

"On if it will be serious, I refuse to be led on, if you flirt it will need to be with the intent on courtship, and later, marriage."

Yoko laughed. "Okay, uh, I'll get back to you on that."

Wednesday nodded. "Very well, I will be waiting."

   Yoko stiffly walked away.

Later, Wednesday laid in bed and thought about Yoko. The vampire was beautiful, but very aloof. Not really someone who Wednesday would consider for a partner.

And at the same time, she was intrigued by how quickly she had learned to get along with the girl. It might have been slow for anyone else, but four months of talking to the vampire was not normally how much time Wednesday took to consider a potential friend .

The first time she realized she trusted Yoko was when the vampire gave her a drink and Wednesday didn't check it for poison before drinking it.

   She never did that.

Especially with someone new. Someone whom she rarely spoke to.

Yes, that was the first time, but it was far from the last time. And now she gently teases the girl? That's quite literally a lead in to a relationship. She's read enough books to realize that; and watched enough rom coms with her friends to see the signs as well.

But she refused to be caught up in one of those contrived stories. It would only work if it was a straightforward relationship.

Yoko Tanaka laid in bed and giggled.

Wednesday literally told her that she could flirt with no repercussions.

She had never asked for a green light from someone before, but Wednesday was obviously not just someone.

She went to sleep thinking up a plan.

Wednesday Addams walked down the hallway and Yoko stopped her. "Wow! I've spent my whole life looking for the most beautiful girl in the world and you're right here!"

Wednesday rolled her eyes. "That's only because you can't see your reflection." She walked off to Yoko doing her best impression of a fish.

She walked to class with a warm fuzzy feeling that she would hate to grow to love.

At lunch, Yoko smugly slid a note to her:

Oh, Wednesday, my sweet, my dark, my dear,

I long to hold you close, to kiss your cheek,

To taste your blood, to feel your fear,

To be your one true love, your undead freak.

"Hey, Wednesday what's that‽" Enid sat down.

"Ah, this is a love letter." Wednesday carefully put said love letter in her book.

"Ooh! Do you know who it's from?" Divina sat down.

"I do, and she is doing a very fine job with her seduction." Wednesday kept eating.

"Oh, she? Enid asked, looking sadly at Yoko.

"Wow, Wednesday." Yoko smirked. "You have everyone after you, huh?"

Wednesday dramatically sighed. "Yes, it would seem so. But this girl is definitely at the top of the list right now."

Yoko was now doing her best impression of a tomato. "Oh, uh, yeah!"

Wednesday smirked. "Very succinct, well done."

Yoko got up. "I have to go to the bathroom."

Wednesday actually chuckled and continued eating.

Enid looked conflicted. "Wednesday, don't be so hard on her please, she's, uh . . ."

"She's what? Trying to court me?"

"Wednesday, you knew? That's not very nice, then."

Wednesday rolled her eyes. "Yoko is the one who gave me the note, we are simply flirting with each other."

Divina started laughing, and Enid said, "Oh! So you." She wiped her eyes. "So you two are gonna . . ."

"Date? Yes, that is the goal."

Yoko sat down. "So what did I miss?"

Divina quieted down. "Enid thought that Wednesday was making fun of you!"

Yoko laughed. "I would thank her for any attention she gave me."

Wednesday grabbed Yoko's hand. "Don't do that, I would hate for this to devolve into something ugly."

Yoko looked at their joined hands and readjusted into a more comfortable position. "Okay, yeah."

Enid started crying. "Oh, you two are perfect for each other."

Divina started tearing up. "Enid, you're gonna make me cry."

Wednesday shook her head. "Why–” She looked over to see Yoko crying.

The warm fuzzy feeling might not be so bad.

Yoko Tanaka laid on the blanket in the field near Nevermore and waited for Wednesday.

The sky was beautiful at sunset.

They had been talking for two weeks on this very blanket and Yoko was ecstatic with how this was going.

They would just hold hands and talk.

Away from their classmates, their teachers, their friends. Away from everyone.

   Away from every thing .

Wednesday laid down and they found each other's hands. Yoko said, "Hello, my dark."

   "Hmm, hello, my undead freak."

   Yoko laughed. "You remembered."

"Of course I did, I will remember everything about you."

"You can be so sweet sometimes."

"You take that back or you'll never taste my blood and feel my fear."

Yoko nervously chuckled. "You don't have to let me taste your blood." She gulped. "That was just a little joke."

Wednesday got closer. "What if I wanted you to have a taste?"

Yoko groaned and looked at Wednesday's exposed neck. "We haven't even kissed yet."

   "That's true, I would like a kiss."

Yoko kissed her, and Wednesday deepened it into a make out.

Later, as she laid in bed, she felt giddy that Wednesday was actively encouraging a bite. Her phone pinged: Goodnight, my darling temptress.

She burst into giggles and replied: Goodnight , my princess of the night .

Wednesday Addams chuckled as she read Yoko's reply.

"Are you texting Yoko?" Enid asked.

   "Yes." Wednesday laid down.

   "Are you two moving forward?"

"We are still in the preliminary stages, at my request."

"Okay, yeah, it's been like two weeks? That's a good pace, I think."

   "Yes, we are moving at a perfect pace . . . although . . ."

   "Although?"

"I don't know if Yoko is fine with that, she said she was, but I don't know."

"Wednesday, you would have to trust her to let you know."

"Yes, I know, but it still weighs on my mind."

"Well, ask her to reassure you."

Wednesday looked over at her in the dim moonlight across the room.

Enid sighed. "It's okay to ask your partner for reassurance, it's more than okay."

Wednesday looked back at the ceiling. "Okay."

Yoko Tanaka set up the blanket and laid down.

The sky was building up for a storm, that would be perfect for Wednesday.

Eventually Wednesday laid down and they found their hands.

They laid for a long while before Wednesday said, "I'm glad that you turned down my request for a bite. I thought that you wanted that, so I . . . I don't know."

"Aw, honey, I would love to, but only when you're ready, yeah?" Wednesday sniffled, and Yoko continued without looking at her. "Do you want me to hold you?"

   "Do you want that?"

"Only if you want it, this only works if we're on the same page."

Wednesday sighed and wiped her eyes. "I don't."

"Okay, we can just lay here."

Wednesday started crying. "Are you still okay with my aversion to affection?"

"Baby, of course I am, I'll wait until the end of time for you!"

It took a long time before Wednesday responded, "Okay . . ."

Yoko felt like crying herself, so she did. They had a good cry together.

Wednesday Addams laid in bed at the Addams manor. She had been dating Yoko for two years now and was extremely happy at almost every hour of the day.

Especially in moments like this, when she could look over at Yoko and listen to her snoring. Yoko only snores when she is comfortable, a physical reaction is exactly what Wednesday needed to verify Yoko's mental status.

Wednesday would often hold the girl as she slept to build up a tolerance, it was working out perfectly.

Yoko woke up and sleepily said, "Oh, hey babe."

   "Hello."

   "What happened? It's still late."

"I was just thinking about you."

   "Yeah?"

"Yes." Wednesday got closer and ignored the hitch in Yoko's breath as she wrapped her arms around. "Is this okay?"

   "Yes, I love this."

Wednesday had to believe her, there was no way to independently verify. "Okay, good." She sank in and said, "I love you."

Yoko squeezed. "I love you too, I love you so much."

They both started crying again, they did that often, it was a unique bonding experience.

Yoko Tanaka asked again, "You're sure?"

   "Yes." Wednesday laid down.

They had been dating for four years now, and Wednesday gave the green light for a bite.

"Okay, I'm going in." Yoko laid down, and after a few moments, bit down. She only drank half a pint, but it was more than enough to satisfy her. She licked the wounds to seal them and burped. "Thank you."

   "Hmm, thank you ."

Wednesday wrapped her arms around, and Yoko felt loved .

Loved for what she was, loved for who she was.
