Summary
It's been years since Zuko became the Fire Lord, and he's spent a lot of time trying to be a better person. Still brooding, at least he's more calm, self-reflective, and isn't actively trying to destroy the world.
Barley (OC), on the other hand, is an outsider, and has done no self-reflecting nor does she have the desire to. She's angry and brazen and her plans usually consists of: fight now, think later.
Which is exactly how she winds up in prison, and then in Zuko's care.
When they meet, it's like gas to a flame, a forest of dead leaves set ablaze, like a fire to a field of grain.
