Chapter Text

“Bakubro just take a vacation. You need it. You’ve been working for YEARS with no breaks.” Katsuki was sitting at an intervention put together by his parents, Kirishima, Ashido, and Kaminari. He had been told there was a very important meeting with an Indian fabric company that was supposed to be renowned for making the best and softest fabric ever made. To say that he was angry for being tricked, was an understatement.

“Come on Bro! We found a nice little town up north known for being Japan's Eden! Just give it a try, okay?” Kirishima put his hands together begging Katsuki to listen to them. Groaning, Katsuki leaned back in his chair rubbing his palms against his eyes.

“What is the town's name, how long am I staying, and where am I going to be staying.” Katsuki’s tone was stern and serious. Face pulled down into a frown, eyebrows knitted together.

“Musutafu. You will be there for one month. And you will be staying at the best inn in town, The Emerald Palace. It is run by a friend of mine from school. She runs it with her daughter and husband. You will be in great hands and there is no internet there so you will have no choice but to relax and you will be leaving your phone here.” Katsuki tried to protest before Mitsuki raised her hand silencing her son. “If you don’t follow the rules, you will be there longer! Brat this is serious! Your doctor called me and said that you are working yourself too hard! The company is perfectly capable of running without you for a FULL YEAR if I see fit. So don’t push it. You leave tomorrow morning so go home and pack.” Mitsuki crossed her arms, not budging an inch as her son started trying to reason with her. Katsuki could do nothing to change their minds.

As ordered, he went home to pack. He was told to pack for a week and that the Yagi's would be able to wash his clothes and he could buy clothes there if needed. Katsuki was also ordered to pack casual clothes as well as comfortable ones. He was still unsure about this trip, but even though he had started to notice his need for a vacation, he couldn’t bring himself to take it. A true workaholic.

The next morning, he woke up at 6 a.m. like normal to do his daily workout before heading to the airport at 7:30. He went through his workout like normal, thinking about what this little town could be like and if he was even capable of being disconnected. Just as he was getting out of the shower, there was a knock on his door. He opened the doorbell cam app on his phone to see who was bugging him this early. He groaned when he saw it was Ashido and Kirishima, using his phone and doorbell cam system, he unlocked the door and told them to come in. They entered his living room as he finally walked down the stairs, carrying his carry-on bag and checked luggage bag.

“Morning extras. What are you fuckers doing here?” He dropped his bags by the door, walking over to them with his arms crossed.

“Morning Bakubabe, we are here to take you to the airport. Your mom got the private jet ready for you to take for your vacation,” Ashido said, all cheerful. Kirishima smiled, walking over to wrap his arm around Katsuki’s shoulder. He glared at him, smacking Kirishima’s hand away.

“Fine, then let's get going. The sooner I go on this stupid vacation, the sooner I can come back and get back to work.” He picked up his bags, and keys, and turned to the two frowning at him. “What?”

“You need this. And if you don’t do as you are told then you will stay there till you do. There is one small airport in the town and one road in and out. No way for you to leave to come home early and we will know if you try to work or aren’t relaxing,” Ashido scolded, hands on her hips. Kirishima nodded crossing his arms. Katsuki rolled his eyes walking out the door to his friend's car.

The drive to the airport and flight to this small town was very boring and he was not happy when his friends took his computer AND phone. It was a five-hour flight and thankfully there was a TV on the jet. A person was waiting for him when he walked out of the quaint airport. A small greenette who looked young enough to be a high school student was holding a sign with his name on it. The closer he got, the more he was struck by how beautiful the young woman was. She was wearing; black leggings, a green t-shirt, and red high-tops, and her hair was up in a high ponytail. She had no makeup on, and her plain outfit made her look even more beautiful.

Katsuki didn’t even realize he had stopped walking or that he was staring. When he finally snapped out of his daze, he made his way up to the girl. Finding that she was a good six to ten inches shorter than him, which if he was being honest, was making him even more interested in the young woman.

“I’m Katsuki Bakugo. Who are you,” he asked her to come to stand in front of her. She gave him a bright blinding smile bowing slightly to him.

“Hello! My name is Izuku Yagi! My family owns and runs The Emerald Palace. I am here to drive you there. Do you have all your bags,” Izuku said, still wearing her bright smile, her emerald eyes shining bright. Katsuki could not help but smile slightly in return. ‘This must be the daughter the hag told me about.’ He thought looking at Izuku’s freckles and thinking ‘She’s even got freckles?! Fuck, I’m done for.’

“Ya just these two. Where’s the car? Are you even old enough to drive,” Katsuki says playfully smirking, amusement in his crimson eyes when they see Izuku go a little red and puff out her cheeks.

“I’ll have you know that I am 24 years old, and I can kick your ass, old man!” Izuku challenges him, crossing her arms and glaring at him. No one had ever challenged him before, but damn was it thrilling. His smirk grew as he leaned down, their noses almost touching.

“Careful Deku, I am not too old I can’t accept your challenge. But you will end up on your back, so be careful what you ask for.” His voice was low and sultry. Izuku sucked in a breath as a light blush crept up her cheeks. Just when Katsuki thought he had won, Izuku brought a hand up to rub along his jaw and slide a finger over his bottom lip, a seductive smirk on her face and mysterious gleaming in her emerald eyes.

“Oh please, you’d never be able to keep up with me, Kacchan. Not even if you tried.” Now it was his turn to gain a little red on his cheeks. Her voice was as sweet as honey making a shiver go down Katsuki's spine and his cock perk up in excitement. ‘This girl is gonna be trouble.’ With a teasing wink, Izuku bent down and picked up his bags. “The car is this way.”

The blonde had no words, as he watched the little greenette pick up his heavy luggage like it was nothing and walk out of the airport. Eventually, he came back down to earth and rushed after her. A smug grin on her face as she looked at him from the corner of her eye. They walked up to her car, and she unlocked the doors to put his luggage inside. Once they had climbed in and started to pull out of the parking lot, Katsuki finally took a second to take in the scenery. It was absolutely beautiful, lush green, and mountains surrounded them making the town nestled in a protective valley. There was still snow on some of the higher peaks, even in the mid-summer season. The town looked like something out of a fairy tale, with quaint little houses, shops along the main road, and an old temple resting on a hill north of the town.

Katsuki was in complete awe and now saw why this town was known as the Eden of Japan. Izuku continued down the main road before turning right to drive up to a big green Japanese ryokan. It was just as stunning as the rest of the town, with Japanese hydrangea vines running up the side of the building, adding a delicate white to the deep forest green building. The red terracotta roof brings it all together perfectly.

“Red and green sure look good together,” Katsuki hints, looking at the greenette with a knowing grin. Izuku rolls her eyes, a small smile on her face as she carries the bags inside. The inside had a very warm and homey feel to it. When they made it into the main area, an older greenette woman was waiting for them, along with a taller lanky blonde man with deep blue eyes.

“Hello, Katsuki, it is wonderful to have you here with us! I don’t know if you remember me, I’m Inko and this is my husband Toshinori.” The older lady had a bright welcoming smile on her face, bowing her head to Katsuki, as did the man. As Katsuki thought about it, she did look vaguely familiar to him, but only from when he was a small child.

“Hello, you have a beautiful inn. Yes, I remember you used to watch me as a child, I believe?” Inko nodded, still wearing her bright smile.

“Yes! I moved here after I married my late husband to start this little inn and to get away from city life. It’s too bad you and Izuku didn’t get to play together as children, but now you guys can get to know each other as adults!” Inko clapped her hands together as Toshinori chuckled.

“Ya, I think Deku and I are going to get along just fine.” Katsuki looked at Izuku out of the corner of his eye, smirking as she met his look with her own amusement.

“I’m gonna show Kacchan to his room to drop off his bags then give him a tour of the inn.”

“Ok Izuku, we will see you both for dinner then,” Toshinori said smiling, ushering his wife away. Izuku led Katsuki down the hall to their right, his room was the last room on the left.

“This room is the biggest room on this floor and opens right into the garden. Mitsuki mentioned that you wanted a bottom-floor room.” The room was large and modest. With a bed centered against the right wall, a TV against the opposite wall, and a dresser under the TV. The door to the private bathroom was right by the main door. “Do you like the room?”

“Ya it’s surprisingly nice,” Katsuki said looking around the room as Izuku set his bags down by the dresser.

“I’m glad it’s to your standards, Kacchan,” Izuku said sarcastically, putting her hands on her hips. The blonde chuckled, turning to look at her with a smug look on his face.

“Kacchan huh?” He walked over to stand in front of Izuku, cocky crimson meeting a playful emerald.

“If you get to call me Deku, then I get to call you Kacchan. Now come on, we have a tour to get started and then dinner will be served in about 3 hours.” With that, they left the room and started to tour. The entire time Katsuki was making suggestive hints and enjoying watching Izuku blush or come up with witty comebacks of her own.

Katsuki had never found someone who could keep up with his sense of humor, wit, and flirting. ‘This girl keeps getting better and better.’ He smirked down at the chatting greenette. ‘Maybe this vacation wouldn’t be so bad after all.’

“That’s it I think. Looks like I finished just in time for me to go help finish making dinner. Two couples are staying here. I believe they will be checking out in a few days. Then it will be just you here for a week before more people show up.” They had made their way back to Katsuki’s room and were now standing in front of the door. “Dinner should be ready by 7 if you wanna head down to the dining room then.” Emerald eyes stared up into Katsuki’s crimson, both unsure of what to do. Giving him one last smile, Izuku turned around and made her way to the kitchen. Katsuki watched her walk away and couldn’t help but think about how he’d never felt this way before. Walking into his room, he lays down on his bed.

Sure he has dated in the past, but they never lasted more than a week or two. They always claimed he worked too much or didn’t give them what they needed. His last relationship was over three years ago. Would it even be okay for him to pursue Izuku? She was eight years younger than him and lived a five-hour flight away. The more he thought about it, the more he realized maybe he shouldn’t pursue her, but the pull to the younger greenette was so strong he couldn’t help but want her. Katsuki was here for a month, so he was going to use this time to enjoy life and make it a month to remember.
