Work Text:

Finally, he’s so close now. The towering structure, massive even at this distance, looms over the horizon: The Library. His ensemble stands behind him, also looking upon their destination. Each one of them barely holding back their excitement. All their goals, their aspirations are so close now.

“The finale is approaching.” She starts to speak. Her voice like a melody in his head, fading in and out of existence, barely able to tell that those are even words being spoke, but he understands her. “Argalia,” She almost sings, “The light, you can feel it call for you, can you not?”

“Yes… That warmth I feel emanating from within The Library shall be our saving grace from this world.” He stretched a hand out towards the tower, almost trying to hold it within his grasps.

“So now, all you have to do, is take it. Close that distance, destroy its vessel, and release what hides within.” Her voice whispers into his ear, getting serious as She explains her plan.

“But how… It’s so large… and girthy… I dont think we can take all of it”

“Then perhaps you should get some help, hm?” Of course, Surely somewhere in The City would have a weapon strong enough to raze down a building such as that. Now that he thinks about it, F Corp was developing large flying vehicles. Argalia is unsure on how to use one, but he’ll surely find out how bc he’s so smart and sexy like that.

He gathers up his ensemble and starts the journey all the way to District 6. They all climbed into a van and start driving there. They’re just squished into this car, Greta does not fit! They taped Oswald to the roof! And so begins their journey across the city to obtain this strange flying mechanation. Until they realised that it’s right beside District 12 and had to take a U-Turn (Physical Bug-Type move at 100 accuracy and 70 power) all the way back.

Finally, through the unbearably traffic and the twisting roads, they made it all the way to District 6. They probably could’ve simply snuck into the laboratories of F Corp, but that’s the Blue Reverberation he can just kill everyone. Tf are they gonna do? Stop him? Eventually they came across a massive metal room and in the midst of it, 2 massive winged vehicles. They’re much larger than any other vehicle in The City, looking to be able to seat hundreds of people. What could this possibly be used for in a city as crowded, both with people and buildings, as this. Nonetheless, they must figure out how to use it.

Argalia approaches one of them and climbs in first, looking around to find its control room. At the front of this vehicle are two seats surrounded by hundreds of levers and buttons, nothing that he can learn immediately. He sends out some of the ensemble members to find someone who can fly this thing or even just a guidebook. While they do that, he is left to himself to continue analysing the aircrafts.

The vehicles appear to be a low-wing cantilever monoplane with a conventional tail unit featuring a single fin and rudder. The wings are swept at 31.5 degrees and optimized for a cruising speed of Mach 0.8 (533 mph or 858 km/h).[19] Each wing features a supercritical airfoil cross-section and is equipped with six-panel leading edge slats, single- and double-slotted flaps, inboard and outboard ailerons, and six spoilers.[6][111] The airframe further incorporates Carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer composite material wing surfaces, Kevlar fairings and access panels, plus improved aluminum alloys, which together reduce overall weight by 1,900 pounds (860 kg) versus preceding aircraft.[6] Outside the building, is another structure holding 2 other vehicles that appear to be built in similar ways to the previous ones. They have 4 chances to hit The Library. By the time he’s done taking a look around at everything important, the ensemble returns.

“Hey Baws,” Greta starts up, “So, uh, apparently we killed the only guy that can fly this thing.”

“Well fuck me sideways I guess.” Argalia groans.

“However, we did find this.” Pluto walks forward and hands him a small booklet about the vehicle. It appears to be a step by step guide on how to build it with tiny blocks. Not very useful in this situation but Argalia keeps it on him.

“Welp, I suppose we’ll just have to figure it out ourselves. In the morning, we’ll fly this thing straight into The Library and take their light for ourselves!”

Chat, they do not know how to fly this thing. Carmen ends up popping to guide Argalia around the cockpit. By the time morning arrives, they are ready. They wanted to fly as early as possible and catch the librarians off guard. Though there may be a possibility that they are watching through their book magic, they need to take the opportunity to attack right now.

Argalia trusted Pluto to fly the first machine and half of the ensemble. Afterwards, Argalia would follow behind with a second machine and the other half. They wanted to get the vehicle out before 8, but due to complete inexperience with driving such a machine, they only got it out right before the hour. Pluto starts making his way over to the library. He flies high above all the skyscrapers and tries to aim for the tallest building of them all.

The Librarians were just now waking up from their night’s rest, all except for Angela. Roland walked over to her standing at the front door.

“Yo, Angelo, whats up? Another guest coming in this early?” He asks with a yawn

“While you were asleep, the invitation gave me a vision of the Reverberation Ensemble planning on entering. Though the vision ended before they arrived, so I have been waiting here for them.” She does not move from her position as she speaks

“Hm, well I’ll stay here with you. If I know that blue 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴, he’ll come bursting down that door any minute now-”

BOOM

Suddenly, a large crash is heard from a higher floor, shaking the entire library. Rubble starts falling from the ceiling and cracks appear on the walls. Angela looks upon the scene in horror. The Library shouldn’t be able to fall. She grabs onto Roland and teleports the both of them to where the crash came from.

They appear on the floor of art. The rest of the Librarians have already gathered here and are looking upon a large metal machine lodged in the wall. Its tail was hanging out of The Library which was seen through a giant hole that allowed them to look out upon the city. Netzach was on the floor holding a tattered book. It’s hard to see from this angel, but it appears to be the book of porccubus broken beyond repair. Angela looks up and spots that the floor of natural sciences was broken down too, its floor open to show its remains. She looks back towards the machine to see Pluto step out with the Musicians of Brehmen, Eileen, Tanya, and Oswald.

“Well well well, sorry to have crashed the party, but it seems that the front door was locked.” Pluto stretches his arms out as if to mockingly greet them.

“What the FUCK??? THERE IS AN INVITATION SYSTEM. YOU CAN’T JUST BARGE INTO HERE WHENEVER YOU PLEASE!” Angela grips onto her hair and screams. She knows damn well that she’s the only one that can fix that wall and really does not feel like doing that.

“Ehrm yes we can. We just did.” Oswald laughs maniacally.

“Wait,” Roland steps forward, “Wheres the blue 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴?”

“Oh, he’ll be here soon. He just wanted to ensure that getting in here was even possibly in the first place.” Pluto answered, “In fact, I’m sure he’ll be here any second now. Do hold onto something.”

Up in the air, Argalia did his best to keep the vehicle steady. The higher floors were already ruined due to Pluto’s crash, so he neede to aim lower if he wanted to do any damage. He circles around, trying to find somewhere clear enough to land violently. Despite being in the midst of the old L Corp ruins, this plane is just too large to manuver well. He sees a good spot and starts to make the longest U-Turn (Physical Bug-Type move at 100 accuracy and 70 power) of his life.

“Steady yourself, you’re so close now.” Her voice has returned, the white woman haunting the narrative. It’s comforting and encouraging, filling Argalia with a level of confidence his egotistical ass has never felt before. “Okay, Argalia, now hit the second tower.” He tips the nose of the machine down, speed increasing faster than he has ever felt before the force of the crash breaks the front window and wings.

The rumble reverberates across the whole building causing the librarians to stumble and fall. The floor below them starts to break too. Before any of them could fall through, Angela teleports them all to the reception hall on the first floor. There another flying machine crashed at a downwards angle and is stuck on the ceiling of the floor. From the broken cockpit window jumps down Argalia.

“Ah, what a fabulous place. Well, I’m sure it looked a lot better before we flew in.” The blueberry let out a chuckle. Behind him, Elena, Greta, and Philip jump down as well.

“YOU BASTARD!” Roland yells out, almost charging right at him before getting grabbed by Angela. He calms down a bit before looking around at the damage. Books and pages were spilled all over the floor, and some splashed of red from the assistant librarians killed from the crash. Was any of Roland’s team still alive? Solar, Mari, Nyan, Grounde.. God even Endy was murdered by this psycho. Would Angela be able to revive them yet? Or has the battle already begun according to the Library?

“Hey now, calm down, boy. You’ll get to fight us veryyy soon, but for now,” He turns to Angela, “Hello, miss librarian. It’s very nice to see you again. I hope you don’t mind us coming a little earlier than expected. We just couldn’t wait for one of your little invitations to make its way into our hands, so why not speed up the process a little? I hope you will all make worthy opponents for my ensemble. Our battle will be lege-!”

“Sir Argalia, we are missing one.” Pluto interrupts.

“Wh- What do you mean we’re missing one?” Argalia turns back to his ensemble and starts counting, “Oh my god we’re fucking missing one. Where the FUCK is Jae-Heon!? Elena! I thought you were watching him!” The vampire simply shrugs as Argalia pinches the bridge of his nose. “What is that idiot doing now?”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I HATE THIS SOCIETY!!!” Jae-Heon screams in anger as his grip on the steering wheel tightens even harder, “I CAN’T TOLERATE THE RICH. I CAN’T TOLERATE THE SHIT THEY DO TO US. SO NOW, THEY WILL BARE WITNESS TO MY FUNNIEST PRANK TO DATE.” His eyes unblinking as he can only focus on the destination infront of him: The Head.
The Head, made up of the arbiters, beholders, and claws, envelops The City with their shadow. All residents powerless against their rule. And their money. God I hate the rich. Jae-Heon dreams that The City would transform into a communist rule with his help, and it all starts here. He looks over to make sure his Twitch stream is on. All of his followers will watch his heroic act for them.
“Gamers, I wanna see some pogchamps in chat right now. I’m gonna do the funniest thing you’ll ever see!” He sets the machine to the highest speed possible, and rams it right into the side of the building. He hopes this act will be an inspiration to all others who also hate this society.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

One last machine remains in its hanger, unused as its siblings were sent off to their own destruction. A woman approaches the lonely mechanical marvel, gazing upon its beauty.

“I have a perfect use for you.”

She takes to the skies and flies further southwest than the ensemble, past L Corp and into the territory of district 22. She keeps watch towards the ground, making sure she doesn’t miss her mark. Her target is much shorter than either The Library or The Head. There it is. It’s a decently sized building, maybe 3 stories tall. It’s much wider than it is tall, capable of holding many people without the necessity of height. She aims downwards and hits.

An explosion bursts throughout the building, ruining the top two floors. Perhaps she gotten a faulty vehicle since something running on enkephalin shouldn’t have exploded like that. Nonetheless, it worked in her favour. A man is running towards the wreckage and stands before the burning building.

“Why hello there.” She walks out from the burning machine and leaps to the ground, landing in front of the man.

“Iori..” He scowls at her, the purple tear, the woman behind the slaughter.

“Good morning, Vergilius. I hope you don’t mind if I parked on the roof.”

“YOU KILLED EVERYONE IN MY ORPHANAGE!!”

“Ehrm oopsie doops.” She sticks her tongue out and lightly hits herself on the head.

“Oh fuck you.” He throws a rabbit suit at her and it crushes her to death. After she dies, he looks around at all this mess, “This was idiotic.”
