STUFF IN GENERAL:
I know her eyes are supposed to be gray, but I gave my Athena blue eyes. HOWEVER, they can turn gray depending on her mood or if she's injured. Say she's sad, then her eyes would be a blueish-gray, or like the fic I made taking place after God Games, her eyes were fully gray in that.
She can turn into any owl she wants, but her main owl form is the Little Owl or Athene Noctua.
WHITE FRECKLES. I gave her white freckles to reference back to the owl hehe.
She has wings, but she hides them most of the time, believing they can get in the way during battle. The rare moments she's not in armor she lets them free though.
Long red hair. It's not as long as Aphrodite's or anything, but it's definitely past her shoulders.
She doesn't sleep much. She's too busy thinking of battle strategies and new things to make. Or she's reading, most likely reading.
Plant mom 100%. She has at least 50 plants or so in her room, and they all have names. One of them is an Olive Tree named Ody, after Odysseus (crazy I know).
She can change how big or small she is. Like one minute she'll be her normal height (Roughly 6 feet? Maybe 7?) and then the next she'll be the size of a fucking olive and it's absolutely hilarious.
Going back to the sleep thing, the rare moments she does sleep, she snores. And I don't mean soft little cute snores, no. She snores worse than Zeus. It gets LOUD. You know she's getting some good sleep when she's snoring bro.
One last sleep headcanon, she sleeps on her stomach almost all the time. As soon as I learned that owls sleep on their stomach, I went "Yup, Athenacore."
She cocks her head when she's confused or curious about something. It reminds everyone of an owl, it's actually super cute.
She can turn her head 180° like an owl. It terrifies everyone, especially Ares. She uses that to her advantage.
She has a hobby, and it's hunting for small rodents. I don't care what anyone tells me, that is funny as hell to picture.
She's not a fan of the rain.
She has fangs, but she keeps them hidden most of the time, unless she's SUPER pissed.
Beast mode Athena? Hell yeah! When she goes beast mode, parts of her skin become more scaly (her other signature animal is a snake after all), along with more feathers appearing. Her feet just straight up become bird feet, and her hands look more claw-like. Her eyes turn into slits, and her fangs are on full display. In this form, her height shoots up to like 8 or 9 feet, it's fucking horrifying.
She's not super big with touch. She doesn't particularly dislike it, she just feels awkward about it most of the time. It always surprises anyone when she hugs someone.
Huge overthinker. There's just too many strategies and new things to think about, the amount of knowledge she possesses can sometimes become too much for her to handle, and she'll completely shut down. If it's bad enough, she'll start hitting the sides of her head to get her mind to shut up. It doesn't normally work.
Very basic, but she's not great with handling emotions, ESPECIALLY her own. When she's upset, she does everything she can to not talk about them, or to feel them. If nothing she does works, she'll resort to scratching her arms due to stress.
Her armor is silver, and she has a little blue scarf thing. It's tied in the back to look more like wings. She has metal arm bands as well (she used to match with Pallas), and the ends glow. When she's not wearing her armor, she's wearing a simple white or light blue chiton and sandals.
Believe it or not, she does have a sense of humor. It's very sarcastic and she can be a bit of a smartass about things.
Whenever she's using Quick Thought or going through a Time Dive, her eyes glow.
POST GOD GAMES:
She ended up cutting her hair a little above her shoulders, because the ends got burnt.
The tips of her wings are also burnt.
The left side of her face is covered in golden litchenburg scars. These scars also travel down most of her back and a little down her left arm. She also has some really bad burn scars along the back of her hands and forearms. The vision in her left eye is damaged (she's not exactly blind, but her vision is super blurry in that eye), and it's been permanently changed to a murky yellow color.
She had a lot of trouble breathing the first day or two after the games. It was super frustrating for her.
She gets tired easily, just a side effect of the damage done by Zeus. She'll be okay most days, but there are moments where she just. Needs to sit down for a bit. She feels ashamed about it.
TERRIFIED of thunder. The PTSD is strong with this one. One little noise remotely related to thunder, and that's enough to send her spiraling. Her and Odysseus bond over their trauma.
She actually tries getting closer to the other gods, attempting to form better relationships with them.
When she first reunited with Odysseus, she snuck away from Apollo's infirmary to see him on the raft. She ended up crashing into the raft in her owl form, and then falling into the water. To say Odysseus was worried is an understatement. It was a very tearful apology session.
When she's training Telemachus, she tries her best to not be so hard on him. She doesn't want to repeat what happened with Odysseus, and she often feels bad about it.
She weaves with Penelope often, and they drink tea together. It's very relaxing for them both, and they bond over it.
Seizures. I wouldn't say she gets seizures OFTEN, but they aren't exactly infrequent either. It's super sad honestly. Most of the time it's more absent seizures, but they can be extreme too.
She spends a lot of her time down in Ithaca. Not all of it, the rest of it goes to recovery and/or spending time with siblings, but she's in Ithaca quite often.
She tries to be more open with her emotions. It's very weird for her, but hey, she's trying her best.
Her relationship with Zeus is VERY strained. Of course she does whatever he tells her, and will do her best to give input when asked. But after the games, she's just... afraid of him.
She carries around two little wooden figures with her. One of an owl that Odysseus made for her when he was a child, and a wolf that Telemachus made for her.
