From his vantage point in the doorway, Hamilton watched him walk around and touch things reverently, still not fully convinced he wasn't having a bizarre nightmare. He regarded his old rival again, taking in his physical presence in bits and pieces; the same arrogantly confident bearing, inviting himself into a room without questioning whether or not he was allowed. He walked over to his desk and grabbed a safety pin while Burr's back was turned, muttering something admiring about city lights. Hamilton grimaced and stuck the sharp tip into his pointer finger, drawing blood and wincing. Not a dream.

This chapter is the most domestic one by now. It has intimate moments between both of them and for the solely fact that they're not on each other's throats for once.
