Work Text:
Your awareness slowly comes to the forefront, first with the smells of citrus and lavender, then with the feeling of the blankets. These are some of the softest blankets you have ever felt, Not to mention the bed, It was like floating on a cloud dressed in satin and silks but warmer. Next to return was your sense of hearing as your body was waking up; there was a soft, pleasant and gentle humming, as if woodwinds could sing. There were mixes of flutes, wood blocks, chimes, clarinets and a few you couldn't quite pick out. All of it mixing together into a gentle song that almost seemed to be lulling you into a sense of security. You were safe here they seemed to say.
Slowly you began to open your eyes, the rooms brightness was soft on your eyes as you took it in. The first thing that was confirmed is that it was NOT your room. The room you were in was as big as your apartment back home, Possibly even bigger.
The room itself had a lot of empty space, the most notable things in the immediate vicinity were that you had a desk and chair that seemed childishly small for the room, your bed was also huge, looking like it could fit about ten people Sophonts. Inside with you were many plushies of all different types, some of extinct creatures, others of creatures that you didn’t think ever existed. I mean what kind of creature has THAT many teeth.
The most important thing in the room however was the giant pile of vines that made up a Terranoid shape. It had wonderfully large breasts that made you envious of the small ones you had gotten on HRT, with soft little white flowers that made a crown in its hair. The vines that made up its hair had little plants with mouths at the end that seemed to open and close on their own, as well as move this way and that. All moving in perfect time to the song you can hear. Looking lower it has four wonderful emerald green eyes with flickers of purple and gold floating into them. Something inside of you pulls your eyes away to look lower as you take in more of her form. Her face is like a polished bronze wood mask. With long rows of white thorns that clearly mimic teeth.
As your awareness returns more you start to realize that she is large… wait when did you start to refer to her as she? Was something wrong wi-
“Petal~ I know you are awake sweetie~ How are you feeling though? You did quite a number on your arms but we managed to get you well enough to bring you home.”
Her singsong-like voice sounded like the nicest voice you ever remember hearing. It reminded you of the woodwind symphony from earlier. What was that about your arms? Lifting them you find they are covered in green material, from fingertips to your elbows. This confused you as you don't remember being hurt. The material seemed to be vines matching the one in front of yous. The confusion you feel visible on your face as she says.
“Your voice shouldn’t be repaired yet either. That one had years of scaring to fix. For now you need to rest Petal, you have been through a lot. Even if you don’t remember it.” Her voice and eyes had a touch of sadness to them, as if she was concerned for you, but why would she be concerned for someone like you?
Your memories feel like a ball of cotton as you dig into them, looking for a name but coming up empty. For both her and you. This should worry you but a pinch to your shoulder takes both the fear away and makes your eyelids heavy again. One of her vines reaching over, a very nice Ivory color as it touches your lips and your body’s oral fixation activates, the vine erupting into a soft, sweet, and creamy vanilla liquid. Your consciousness fading as you nurse on the vine.
======================================================================
You awake some time later as you feel your body picked up, your arms squirming as you also kick your legs in an attempt to be put down. Everything was going too fast! What was going on? You are quickly swaddled in vines so that you can no longer move and after a few moments a strange sense of peace washes over you. There was no escape… but you were safe. The predator was not eating you, in fact it was holding you to her chest. It felt… nice. Looking up you see the strange figure from before again, looking down with purple and pink eyes as she coos at you.
“Awwwww there is my sweet little one~ I went through your browser history and thought this might be something you like~” As she talks in her cheerful voice she walks with you, heading to the door to your room and into the house proper.
If you thought your room was big, the house was even more huge! The hallway had four doors, two on the left and two on the right, with an extra door behind you. It had a nice little enclave that looked like a nest off to one side with what looked to be plushies inside. It would be easy to crawl in and out of and be super snugly. The walls had pictures of all sorts of
creatures
Xenosophonts, the word slotting into your head seamlessly even if you were aware it was changed.
These changes made your heart beat faster in your chest as you realized you could feel your fear again, it slowly cutting through the blanket of calm that was provided by the swaddling as you try to recenter yourself, your body not responding properly as you pathetically whimper instead.
In response to the whimpering the woman gently pets you with her vines, gently scritching your scalp and behind your ears. Each one sending waves of calm, peace, and pleasure through your body as they turn your whimpers into needy whines, a pinch to your arm making every touch somehow feel even better and more pleasurable, quickly turning the whines into mewls of pleasure as she continues to hum as if nothing was wrong.
Unfortunately that also means you miss when exactly she took you into this bathroom that has its own pool in addition to a strangely padded table with towels and other items on it. All of it in script you can’t read but clearly looks like language.
The vines swaddling you begin to wiggle and you feel as they trace lines across your body, earning more mewling moans from you as pieces of cloth fall to the floor, all without needing to unswaddle you from the bliss-filled hold she had on you. She was having fun with this as her eyes tinged more gold.
“You are being soooo good for me Petal~ Just Relax and let me handle everything okay? ”
Her voice turned into something more tangible in the last half, it sinking all nice and softly into your brain as your body relaxes before it could fully process it. With that suggestion implanted she slowly lowered you into the nice warm water. Not warm enough to burn you but also not cold enough to be uncomfortable, just a perfect temperature.
Vines extended from her as they grabbed different bottles, all with more strange script on them but some had pictograms! You knew that word! On a few of them were Terrans relaxing, others had them cuddling, and the last one had things jumbled up in some kind of thought cloud above it.
Happy with her selection she pumps a few of each bottle into her hand and mixes them before gently massaging it into your scalp, more mewls of pleasure escaping your lips as the gentle electricity slowly ramped up in intensity, soon turning into white hot lightning that flashed through your vision, blinding you for a few moments as it plateaus and leaves you a whimpering whiny mess as you try to reclaim the ability to think, the pleasure filling you up and making you crave more as tears stream down your face, it felt like finding rapture.
But it was not to last. Those vines betrayed her and lowered you into the water to wash it off, taking the pleasure with it as you whimper and find a hand free to reach for the bottles as she giggles at your antics. You didn’t care though you wanted more of the feel good stuff!
As you are focused on reaching for those she gently washes your body, her vines feeling good but not as nice as the experience earlier. Your tears keep flowing as you slowly wear yourself out trying to grab the bottles. Her vines holding you firm in a steel grip yet super gently at the same time. A Para….para…. Something that is impo- can’t happen! There! Words were getting harder…
Eventually you look down and realize you are naked! When did that happen? Your thoughts slowing as it feels like thinking through syrup. The very nice vines holding you slowly deposit you to a softly padded table, the towel between you and it feeling very soft and causing you to try and count the fibers with your fingies a soft giggle escaping your lips. For some reason it sounds lighter than you remember, and much nicer on your ears!
“There's my sweet little ones laugh~ it seems your voice is healing very well, and it sounds so pretty now too~ much more fitting for my sweet girl.” Her voice sounded more melodious as the smell of lavender and citrus grows strong again. It made your head spin a little bit and she looks prettier for some reason. You lose count of the threads after three each time and try to restart but find yourself drifting into her looks. Not exactly her eyes for some reason. Some part of you keeps telling you that is bad.
After what felt like hours or could have been minutes of staring as each individual and wonderful vine, some with pretty flowers that end in cool tips that dripped!, you feel some lift you up again and set you onto a soft pillow, laying you back and gently adjusting you as she lifts it up as if measuring something, you feel the urge to kick gently even though it feels so comfy, the small voice in your head telling you to run through the clouds of calm, peace, and pleasure.
“Now now sweetie, i know you are excited for your first diapie, but if you keep fussing i am going to need to grab your feetsies~” Her voice was nice again, like someone who really loved you, it drudged up a very nice name… was it Mommy? Was she Mommy? The confusion lead to you calming down enough to have her begin to powder your cute bits. Something looked strange about them but your brain quickly pushed it away, focusing back on Mommy.
Mommy was smiling down at you and it made you feel all tingly and good as she gently folds the strange comfy thingy up and snugly around your waist! Soft pets cause you to melt as she whispers soft praise that goes over your head, you don’t need to hear the words. Just feel Mommy’s love though them!
Soon she makes a gesture and says “Arms up sweetie~” And her voice is so nice you raise both arms! As soon as you do you find a cloth brought over your face and soon its smoothness covers your entire body! Having cool buttons that cover your fluffy cloud that makes your legs stick apart, you can't even close them!
But before that thought could scare you she lifts you up and sits you on the floor, your legs wobble a little which feels strange, you were able to walk right? The look on your face causes Mommy to giggle and pat your head! The good tingles are back! You gently wrap both of your hands around one of her fingers and gently coo as she leads you out of the bathroom and over to a strange pen, it has all sorts of toys inside! From stuffies to blocks to oooooooooo crayons!
You run for the crayons and paper, stumbling along the way, before you begin to scribble and draw. You were not a good artist but it was nice to just make thingies, maybe Mommy would praise you too! You began drawing with the nice coppery brown because you needed to make Mommy’s mask, making sure to leave space for her eyes! You don’t even notice the playpen being closed until you hear a click and see Mommy standing outside the pen with a flat tablet thingy with pretty colors! She is pointing it at you and it makes you feel so proud!
Putting the crayon up to your lips it feels strange, your oral fixation kicking in as you gently nibble on the crayon. It had a special kind of give that was nice to chew without actually giving way any of the wax. And it smells like how you remember crayons smelling, that fresh out of the box papery waxy smell. Going back to your choice of crayons you color in Mommy’s eyes with a nice Lilac. Before going for more forestry greens for her vines, using little yellow circles for the cute little mouths that open and close in her hair! Eventually though something feels off.
Suddenly everything feels so much as a pressure builds behind your eyes and you drop your crayons, a wail escaping your throat as you begin to sob, the sadness bubbling from deep within. In an instant Mommy has you swept up, her vines holding you close to her chest as she gently bounces you. Her voice softly singing out.
“It’s okay sweetie, I’m here and I will never leave you okay? Through the pain and tears I will always be with you. I love you. So so much petal~” Her hushing and the gentle pulsing wave of something strange began to crash against the wave of sadness that was inside of you, bubbling forward they mixed, the sadness slowly melting to the love of Mommy.
Slowly your sobs ebb from the flow, the tears drying up as they leave a trail down your cheeks. But you look up and see Mommy’s smile and the love on her face and you feel a warmth inside your chest, something that you forgot felt like. She puts your lips to one of her breasts and the yummy vanilla cream quickly fills your mouth, the smell of citrus and lavender filling your nose as you close your eyes and start to drift off again.
========================================================================
When consciousness returns to you again you find yourself letting out a groan, a hand going up to rub your face and finding a strange item in your mouth. It had a bulb that occupied your mouth but two very soft long leaves that cling to your cheeks, your oral fixation causing you to suckle on it and gnaw on the bulb. Occasionally getting a drop of something that made your spine tingle, it tasted like strawberries and cream.
Looking around yourself a few things became apparent. First, you have a new outfit. It has a poofy pink skirt with a white bunny on a pink shirt. The comfy thing around your waist that prevents you from closing your legs peeked out from under it so you wouldn’t get any privacy~ But now that you were more aware it was very clearly a diaper! You don’t need to wear one like an infant! Sure you cried your eyes out to the plant Mommy and that was embarrassing very nice and safe to do around her! You blink as those thoughts register in your mind. Something was going on.
Before you could explore that thought too far however, you need to go over the other two things you found. The second thing you discovered upon waking up is that you were alone in some sort of cage without a top… wait… Mommy, Diaper…strange pacifier…. This was a crib! The gears in your head were clearly turning in overdrive as whatever drugs you were on made their way out of your system to be replaced with whatever your pacifier was dosing you with.
The final thing however was that there was a stuffed bunny in the crib with you that was as big as you were. Poking it revealed it was super soft, the flush having lots of give and making sparkles of pleasure dance around your hands. Okay not going to touch that. You were very adamant about that!
Now think, why were you here? And who were you? Closing your eyes, the bulb’s drip feeding causing distracting tingles as you focus. Your memories were fuzzy. You remember being alone, scared for some reason, and then the events seemed to play out in front of you as you dig through and the wall comes loose, knocking you over.
========================================================================
You had just gotten home from putting your wife to rest. Her long battle with cancer over. You paid all your bills, you were just so tired. The long nights with her, your hopes for the future, the dreams you shared? All gone, all because of one missed payment. That one payment sent a spiral that cascaded into the light of your life dying. And it was all your fault.
The door creaked open to your empty home as you unlocked it. Sure it had some furniture but there wasn’t much. You had to sell it all to make ends meet and pay for your wife's cancer treatment. Sitting on the table was a box of all your photos together. As well as the bottle of Absinthe, her favorite alcohol, you promised you would share with your wife when it was all over.
Well it was over, and you couldn’t share it with her. Opening the bottle felt heavy. Like the finality was finally dwelling over you. You take a drink straight from the bottle and wince at the burn that mixed with the floral taste. This drink was the real deal, passed down from your family for generations and it ended with you, just like your bloodline. It was supposedly linked with art. Maybe that's why your wife liked the cheaper stuff she bought.
Your eyes scan the box as you take another drink. It was starting to grow on you. Your fingers tracing picture after picture of her. How were you supposed to go on without her? To just live with this hole in your chest? The missing half of your soul. The light in the dark that is this crushing hellscape. One particular picture showed her in a wonderful black dress, white dots to represent the stars that get thicker until it reached the bottom. She had that wonderful choker with the little bell. That matched yours with the bunnies on it. It was your inside joke together, the kitty that caught a bunny.
The picture blurs as water droplets fall, oh you were crying. Your body felt out of sorts, as if you weren't really there. You take more big swigs of the Absinthe as you cry. This world wasn’t fair. You choke out more sobs as your voice was lost years ago. She never cared about that though. She thought your words on the page were enough. Your reviews of her art were how you met after all.
Remembering her art studio, you stumble to your feet, Shaky legs taking you to the door you refused to touch since her passing. Inside was her bed, set up next to it was an easel with a covered painting and a note. It was addressed to you but you were always afraid of reading it. It wouldn’t matter for much longer however. You were set on your plan now. You grab it and then carefully unveil the art piece, giving it your critical eye.
It was clearly both of you, hastily finished at the end, She knew her time was running out. She was made of stars while you were made of flowers, her tears flowing down to you through clouds as you reached for each other. Approaching was a wall of fire in the background.
It was beautiful and sad, a tragedy, and not her best work. But for some reason it spoke to you. Looking out the window it looked like there was a flower in the sky. Laughing, you chalk it up to Absinthe. They say the true stuff caused hallucinations, and clearly it was causing it for you.
You leave the room to run a nice hot bath while you check your fridge. Tonight was special, you should treat yourself. A hand on the bottle while the other rummages through the pantry and fridge you begin to cook. You didn’t go out to buy the good ingredients to waste them with a little death. You make her favorite meal. Making two plates but only eating yours. It tastes of ash and sand in your mouth. Not because you made it poorly, objectively it would outclass most chefs. But because of the sadness that she isn’t here.
You clean your plate before going into the bathroom. You set the letter on the counter before stripping. Going into the bath with a straight razor, the bottle, and your phone. You text your friends, blocking each one after, you wouldn’t need them anymore. At some point an unknown number texted you but you ignored them, and then when your signal finally went out you decided it was time.
Finishing the bottle you open the razor, a soft smile on your lips as you take it in your right and press it into your left forearm. The flesh parting so nicely and causing you to drop your phone in the bath. It short circuiting as blooming flowers of red drip into the water. A few more strokes and you had her name deep into your arm. You expected it to hurt more but if anything it was freeing. You would get to see her again!
That thought pushed any pain out of your mind as the euphoria blossomed in your chest. On your other arm you began to write your apology, getting about half way through before the razor falls from your hand, plunging both arms into the warm water as the strength leaves them, your breathing growing shallow as your vision blurs. The water was so red and nice. So pretty really.
Water droplets fall into the water from your chin as you let out a soft silent chuckle. You were so close! And then you heard the splintering of wood. Footsteps that seemed to be inhumanly fast filled your ears and the last thing you saw come through the door was a flash of green with four red and blue eyes.
========================================================================
Knowing how you came to be here, if it wasn’t for the bulb in your mouth gently releasing its chemical filled calm and bliss, you are fairly sure panic would be on the menu. Instead you sit up. The sadness there but just out of reach as you stand up. Waddling to the bars you stare longingly at the door. You don’t know why you know this will work but you gently bap on the bars and make noise.
Soon Mommy comes in with her smile, the purple and pink eyes of love directed right at you. The look on your face is all she needs to know you remember the details. Her smile doesn’t fade however, and instead she grabs you and gently reaches a vine into your diaper.
“Hmmm you need a change, little one~, your nap soaked your diaper. Don’t worry! Mrs Bunbun is here!~” Her joyous voice grates on your ears now, as she pulls out a bunny that's the perfect size to hold, quickly putting it in your hands as she takes you to the changing table.
Her vines make quick work of the diaper and cleans you up as you look up at her. Your mind wondering, what is she thinking? Does she pity you? Is she here to torment you? Instead of getting an answer to that she pats your new diaper front and takes you to a rocking chair. Sitting you down as she hums softly. Cradling you like a mother would her child.
Eventually she breaks the silence with a soft voice. Her heart sounded like it was breaking.
“I am sorry for what you went through little one. If we had been just a little quicker we could have saved her. But I am so grateful to the Everbloom that I was able to reach you in time. This may seem like a punishment but I promise it's not sweetie. I will take care of you and give you a happy life. You may not see it today, you may not see it tomorrow, but one day when I let you grow up, you will be ready to read the contents of that letter. And know that you will never be alone again. I promise you that.”
Her words leave you stunned as you take them in, her form growing blurry as her hair begins covering you in little kisses from the many mouths. Each one soaking up your tears as they come and you feel a part of you snap, like something inside could just rest and relax. With a pinch to your shoulder you begin to cry again, the sobs beginning soft before building to a loud crescendo as Mommy lets your sadness out, her little plants eating it up with your tears.
You knew you would be safe from now on. It was okay. Mommy was here and she loved you.
