Traumatised, Injured and definitely not mentally stable.

Summary:

Manhunt!Dream gets (aggressively) thrown into the Dsmp, is found by Phil and Techno, and has to figure out how normal people function. Not that Phil and Techno are good role models.

Things aren't as easy as hiding in a room and only talking to two people, especially when people keep breaking into the house to interrogate his new friend.

Notes:

I'm planning to update once every week but we'll see.

Feel free to point out any mistakes, I happily accept CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.
English is my first language, I just like long words I can't spell.

Enjoy? idk if that's the right word for this.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Dream sprinted into the portal room, the screams of the hunters echoing not far behind as they struggled to run down the narrow, winding halls of the stronghold.

Skidding to a stop, he dropped to his knees and began energetically shoving the ender eyes into their respective slots. There had already been 5 when he got there, and he had brought 10 so he had 3 spare.

“What a waste of good ender pearls,’’ he muttered to himself as he turned to block the entrance of the room with cobblestone. It wouldn’t stop them, but it would probably slow them down since the iron pickaxes they had before had been burned (by him) leaving them with either stone or wood.

In one fluid motion he spun on his heels, running up to the portal before jumping feet first into the starry darkness.

As soon as the black enveloped him, the slightly nauseating sensation of incredibly fast freefall made his stomach twist and threatened to make him hurl. Fortunately for him (and his stomach), he was used to the feeling and thus ignored it, opting instead to ready his feet in front of him just in time for the obsidian platform to come hurtling into view. Due to the strange magic of the End Dimension, he landed unscathed upon the platform. Immediately building as little as he could towards the island before jumping the gap and running to the tallest of the towers.

He built up the side of the tower and slashed his axe through the crystal that sat atop it. From his new vantage point he began sniping the crystals on the other towers. Via pure luck the tower he had climbed was one of the two towers with cages perched atop them, the second was, annoyingly, on the other side of the island.

Cursing under his breath, he leaped off the tower, placing water beneath himself just in time as to not absolutely shatter his ankles.

He started running the second his feet touched the ground. He had managed to get halfway to the other tower when Ant skidded in front of him and raised his sword.
Acting on his instincts he jerked to the side, causing the cat to sidestep, before hitting the ground and sliding between the hunter’s legs and popping up behind him. He shoved his sword through Ant’s chest, killing him instantly, and resumed his run to the tower.

The remaining three hunters shot at him as he climbed, and although most of the arrows missed entirely, one of them stabbed into his calf, sending pain shooting its way up his leg.

“Fuck.” He cursed under his breath, not pausing for a second as he pushed through the pain to continue scaling the tower- he was so close to winning this round and after losing the past few he really needed the ego boost- unable to afford stopping for even a second.

After what felt like centuries, he finally reached the top of the tower, destroying the final crystal with a single swing of his axe.

He summoned his bow and shot at the dragon in order to lower its health before it perched, sparing the occasional shot to fire at the hunters below him in order to prevent them from getting too far up the tower. He even managed to kill Bad and George, which left only Sapnap (Until the other hunters came back- they always came back).

He dove off of the tower, landing on top of Sapnap and drove the blade of his axe into the man’s skull. He kicked off Sapnap as he dispersed into red particles and rolled along the ground before jumping to his feet and sprinting towards where the dragon was coming in to perch.

With the screams of the returning hunters behind him and the dragon’s roars in front of him, he readied his axe and leapt off the ground, timing his jump perfectly as his axe sank into the flesh of the dragon's neck and he lept away, narrowly avoiding the dragon’s head as it thrashed around, nearly missing him.

Cheering at the top of his lungs, he watched with pride swelling in his heart as the dragon's corpse was reduced to a mix of white particles and light. He had killed the dragon hundreds of times at this point but he still felt pride every time he succeeded. He spun, with a smug smile planted firmly on his face, and faced towards where the hunters were being reduced to particles. He raised his right hand and gave the disappearing hunters a mock wave.

“Nice try guys, have fun in the void!” he called. Sapnap yelled something that sounded vaguely like a death threat but he was gone before dream could catch it.

He gave a final salute in the direction of where the hunters had been and thought of what he was going to do once he arrived at his destination, otherwise known as hermitcraft, he turned and stepped over the edge of the portal, letting himself fall face first into the familiar blackness.

He felt the regular sickness wash over him before it was replaced with something else, something completely foreign. His brain started panicking as he tried to reason as to what had cause this new feeling and why the fuck it was happening now when it had never happened before.

“Okay, this is fine-” -this is entirely NOT fine- “I need to calm down-” -more panicking is absolutely required- “Was anything different this time?” He paused as that thought wormed its way into his panicked mind, new blocks? Nah. Just cobble, new weapons? Nope, just an iron axe he stole from one of the hunters, unusual injuries? There was the arrow that was sticking out of his calf, could that have caused this? Maybe, but how? And why? He didn’t know and it was incredibly frustrating- he hated not knowing when things were going wrong.

As he thought about what could have caused the feeling, it suddenly stopped, making him frown.

He was confused for all of three seconds before he was thrown abruptly from complete darkness, into the dappled sunlight of a forest.

What?

As he felt the warm dirt in between his fingers he came to a nauseating realisation of one very important thing:

This was not the Hermitcraft spawn.
