Work Text:

In a very populated city, full of guilds that solved ton of problems, not as much as existed; lived one of the most powerful wizards, a young half elf, half human, for his specialty in web magic, he gained the title of Spider-man, this man was one unfortunate people in the city to have a problem.

Even if he was a very powerful wizard there were limits to magic, or well to the ones he knew and was able to perform at least, he needed more than just his magic, he needed a miracle, you see, his aunt May had been very sick lately, his aunt may was a human, she was already at old age, it was her and his uncle Ben that had raised him since he was just a child, who had seen him grow into the man he was now.

Doctors and magics experts in the field of health didn’t give her more than a year of life and in their own words that was “being generous”, what was worse. even his very aunt talked to him like she was about to die, which crushed his heart, she was all that had left of his family, the uncle Ben’s death day was near and he couldn’t help but think about that day, how it hurt, how much he missed him, and he didn’t think he was ready to let his aunt go too, he wasn’t ready to say goodbye to her.

–I’m going to cure you, aunt May– swore Peter, with her hand between his, using all his force not to break in front of her, to not make her sad.

She smiled at him, used her other hand to overlaps his, now he noticed he was shaking, –Thank you, even if not, I want you to know that I had a good life, with your uncle and you, I love you Peter– she sweetly told him, her warmth melted his barrier and some tears slipped, –I love you aunt May–

He approached every guild he knew, sadly obtaining the same result where they told him that there was no way to cure his aunt, one of them was very unrespectful and said that he should better find a necromancer, that was the last drop, he would search for that cure by his own means.

First, he investigated healing magic, he knew the basics but didn’t hurt to learn more, still the most effective health magic was tied to the goddess and only those whose job was teaching others about the goddess could use them with mastery domination, there were rumored relics that she left that could concede a blessing, which sounded good enough for the wizard to start his adventure.

Or he would once he recruited a vanguard. The news that Spider-man was in search of a relic of the goddess  and was recruiting in the tavern spread in hours, nobody came, except one man, he was dressed in a black coat, black shirt, a skull belt buckle, and had an arquebus at his side, this man was known as The Punisher, as he often worked “punishing demons” or put in other words he killed demons, he didn’t knew exactly why that man got interest in his quest so he asked –what’s your interest in this quest?–, the man just stared at him, tired, he had arrived to the tavern exactly like that, –have heard of you, I wouldn’t like a kid like you die for nothing– the man said as matter of fact, which ouch, what do you mean die for nothing? I’m going for one of the relics of the goddess– informed him Peter, –I don’t believe in the goddess or any god–clarified the Punisher, –right, but you accept the job of protecting me during my travel in the search of the relic– repeated his request the wizard, –yes, but I will be getting paid no matter if you find it or not– said the Punisher, and it was fine for Peter, he had gained money with all the magic he had made, his aunt worth it all and more.

–sounds good to me– agreed Peter, the other man nodded –right, you got a contract with you? – asked the Punisher, and no, Peter didn’t thought he needed a contract –umm… no– admitted the wizard, the man rubbed his face, Spider-man started to get worried, his only help was about to walk away for something so small and –I can write it here– Peter said searching in his things for a page of paper, but the Punisher dejected it –save it, I know where we can get one– he said and stood up, Peter did the same, grabbed his things,  and followed the man.

They walked to an area called Hell’s Kitchen, they arrived to what Peter assumed were offices, –welcome to Nelson and Murdock– said a well-dressed chubby man with a smile when they entered, then his glance focused on the Punisher and he frowned –oh, it’s you– the man said disgusted, –yeah, it’s me, is Red here? – asked the Punisher, before the other man could answer a ginger man with red horns, red glasses and pointy ears emerged in the room –Hi, Frank– greeted the man, – we need a contract– Frank, the Punisher said, to the one Peter assumed was called “Red” –what did he do? – Red sighed disappointedly towards Peter.

–I didn’t do anything– Frank huffed and crossed his arms, Red ignored him, –I want to contract him to be the vanguard during my quest to find a relic of the goddess, he says we need a contract so here we are– Peter said, he was becoming nervous seeing his reflection on the lenses of Red, thankfully the man turned to Frank.

–Didn’t thought you still cared about the goddess– told Red to Frank, –I don’t– admitted the Punisher, –but I think the quest may kill the kid, and to clarify I want to be paid regardless if he finds or not the relic– elaborated Frank, –sounds like a fun trip– grinned Red, –Oh no– exclaimed the man who had welcomed them, –Can I go? – Red asked Peter, the latter blinked surprised –you know how to fight? – Peter asked automatically, in his experience men working in offices and well dressed weren’t the fighting kind, there had to be another reason of why he wanted to go… and the man clearly wasn’t human, the combination of pointy ears and horns indicated that he either was a dragon or a demon, Peter hoped it was the former than the latter, but there wasn’t form of knowing without being rude, and if Red turned to be a demon he would have given him an opening and get killed for being an idiot, or that’s what he thought, in fact he had never been in presence of a demon before.

–he does– Frank informed him, he sounded so sure, –do you trust him? – whispered Peter to Frank, the latter looked at him firmly like calling him an idiot, and ok he maybe was an idiot, he decided to trust his guts  –then, yes, it’d be the same contract as him– the wizard said pointing to the Punisher, –why did you told him he could go? – complained the chubby man, Peter wanted to apologize but he really needed a good team to search for something that valuable.

–Don’t worry Foggy, I’ll be fine– Red said as he made a page of paper float, and a quill start to write.

–ok, I’m going to need your name and how much you plan to pay for the job and if you’re including stay and food in the contract– Red told him, now that he remembered he hadn’t been asked before for the pay and these two were already on board, were they even sane?

–Peter Benjamin Parker–Peter started said, observing how the quill wrote with every answer he gave.

Once the contract was done all the men in the room signed, turned out Red was called Matthew and not like the color red, the man who welcomed, “Foggy” was actually called Franklin.

–Will be an honor to work with you Frank– Peter said and shook hands with the Punisher, –sure– the latter said, –and with you Matthew– Peter said extending his hand towards the man, – he extended his hand to you– Franklin informed Matthew.

–Thanks, Foggs– nodded a thanks to Franklin, and he took Peter’s hand to shake it –Matt is fine– Matt added, the wizard smiled.

They left the office, and Matt had changed into a red armor, looking properly like vanguard.

With a team settled, having stop for provisions for the travel and having a map in his hands Peter assumed they were ready to depart to the quest.

–We’re going to Kini town, it is said it was home to one of the heroes that touched a relic, perhaps the town still has it– optimistically said Peter pointing out in direction of the town.

–it would be famous as the town with the relic not as home of the hero who had the relic– pointed Frank. Which first of all, Ouch, yes, he already knew that, but it was his only clue.

–only one way to find out–

That’s how the 3 men adventured into the quest of the relic of the goddess.

The wind howled strong and took the map from Peter’s hands, –shit! – the wizard exclaimed, –well, no problem, I remember it, we just have to walk straight then turn left and um... keep going– Peter mumbled, – works unless there are more than one divergence path and we turn left before or after we need to– Matt commented, shit! Peter hadn’t considered that, –there would be signs pointing the directions I imagine– considered the wizard, –meanwhile there is light shouldn’t be a problem– said Frank, –yeah, we wouldn’t want to walk in the dark like blind people– joked Matt, and Frank laughed with the lawyer, Peter didn’t he didn’t know where the joke was, perhaps it was a complain that they had been walking for hours non-stop and the sun was about to hide in two hours more, –should we camp here? – wondered Peter out loud, a growl sounded before one of his vanguards could answer, Matt and Frank quickly readied for battle, it was a gigantic wolf, but the size didn’t did him much favor, the animals was gone, they heard a yell no much far from where they were followed by multiple growls, the 3 of them didn’t hesitate and went to rescue who screamed.

It was a merchant in a cart and were attacked by 4 of those wolves, Peter shot webs to shut down the snout before he bit the merchant, Matt hit the animals with a large red baton and Frank blast them with his arquebus, in a matter of few minutes the monsters were gone.

–Thank you adventurers, is there something I can do for you? – asked the merchant, –you wouldn’t have a spare map with you, or you do? – asked the wizard, –no, sorry, I constantly travel these paths so I don’t need them anymore– waved the merchant –but I could offer you a ride– he proposed, Peter observed that the cart he was traveling was in good state, the horses were scared, but not hurt, – we’re going to Kini– Matt intervened, the merchant gave a firm nod, –you’re lucky, I’m going to Sache, just an hour away from Kini. –

The night arrived and they took the opportunity to sleep while the merchant drove them to that other town, their bodies were blessed for the rest.

It was still night when a bump, the sudden stop and the protest of the horses woke them up –came out of nowhere– the merchant mumbled with horrified voice, Peter rubbed his eyes awake –what’s wrong? – he asked, –I ran over someone– the Merchant said inspecting a lump in the floor –oh goddess, is not breathing– exclaimed the Merchant more panicked now, Peter hurried up to see if he could do something, he casted his magic, analyzed the body, and indeed the man was not breathing, the heart was not beating but the body was embodied with magic, one that Peter didn’t recognize, suddenly the body twitched and groaned, it wasn’t a monster sound, but a man in pain sound.

He didn’t know when happened, but Matt and Frank were by his side ready to attack the bulge, –Woah hold your horses, and I mean that in a literally way too– said the non-breathing… man slowly standing up with raised hands in signal of surrender, but also pointing with one lift hand to the horses, Peter squinted his eyes –how are you alive? – the wizard asked, –well, technically I’m not– said the… umm corpse? The merchant fainted to such answer.

–elaborate– Frank told him, –his heart doesn’t beat– responded Matt before Peter or the corpse could, weird, Peter could swear he never saw Matt using an analyzing spell, but that wasn’t important, not in the current moment.

What was more interesting was – Oh it’s nothing, a stupid necromancer revived me but now I…– before the living corpse could say anything one of those gigantic wolves ran and bit half the man, Matt grabbed Peter and dragged him a step back from the monster, Frank opened fire against the creature, it  banished, the upper half of the corpse laid on the ground –now I can’t die, name is Wade– the corpse said as he was starting to regenerate as if he hadn’t been mauled seconds ago, man was insane he was wearing a red mask but very revealing clothes for the rest of his body, Peter blushed as he saw his lower region form before his eyes so he turned them to other side.

Once Wade had fully grown his bottom half, he grabbed what were his clothes from the detached part. Fully clothed he was wearing a vest, a skirt, heavy boots, a ton of knives attached to muscled legs and a pair of axes behind his back.

–we should be alert, those monsters attack in pack– Frank warned them, –it’s ok, I beat the rest but kinda missed the one you just killed– informed them Wade as it was nothing.

–I have nowhere to go, you don’t mind if I tag along with you, right? – Wade asked them, Peter looked at his party, they didn’t seem to mind, –I guess– Peter finally answered, –we’re going to Kini– Peter informed Wade, the latter nodded –the hometown of the Hero Merú, the one who got one of the relics of the goddess to defeat the evil of Desipre– Wade thought, Peter smiled –yes–

Wade claimed to know the way to Sache, and he knew how to drive a cart, so he drove while the merchant was unconscious, hopefully they would explain it to him once he woke up that everything had turned alright.

They arrived Sache at sunrise, they thanked him for the ride and took provisions from the town, including some maps and they parted to Kini.

This time there wasn’t any inconvenience to arrive to their destiny.

–we’re looking for the house of the hero– said Peter to the first person they encountered, the person gave them instruction on how to arrive.

It was an abandoned house, just took care from the outside, –the door is locked– observed Peter –I think there must be a magic for locks and…– the wizard thought out loud when the creak of an old door opening sounded –Is open– Matt said, –oh, didn’t take you for a rouge, could have sworn you were a warrior– Wade exclaimed, Matt laughed, –was raised by a rouge, old habits die hard– admitted Matt with a shrug.

They entered the house, and Peter went directly to the books, there were some of the goddess, one of them was the diary of the hero, it wasn’t conserved right, seemed so frail.

Peter cast his magic to flip the pages and some webs to give more resistance to the pages, it took a lot of time and some of the things were unable to read, it didn’t said what Merú did with the relic after he used it but Peter found his next lead, according to the diary the hero had encountered the relic because the goddess had guided him to the temple of Danow, he marked it as next destination, perhaps he had returned it to the place he had found it, he had never heard of such a place but the diary described the path the hero took, they would follow it like instructions.

–I’m going to gather information in the town, I think it’s a safe place so you can do whatever you want meanwhile, we’ll reunite tonight at the inn that’s near the hero statue–  told Peter to his party, –sure– agreed Matt, Frank just nodded and they walked together in direction of the market, but Wade just followed him.

–there is nothing you want to do? – confused asked Peter, the non-dead man grinned –I do, I want to walk by your side– told him Wade, and at difference from the night they met the chest of Wade was breathing, probably not because he needed but because he was used to, how much had he been staring at the man’s muscled chest?, Peter blushed,  –right, let’s go– he walked fast so he’d be in front and wade couldn’t see his face.

They ended finding too much info about the hero, like that had faced a manticore when he was 10 and saved a town from drought when he defeated a sand monster that was drying it when Merú was 15 and how his punches were like thunders.

It was more than evident that the tales had been altered, and he could no longer tell what happened and what was made by the people to make the hero sound more important.

Another thing he found was how easy to talk to Wade was, it was easy to forget the worry he had about his aunt, almost all the time.

Since it was a touristic town almost all the inn was full –Red and I already asked for room, they only had two, we took one you got this– Frank said handing a key to Peter, –thank you– Peter said accepting the key –we’re leaving at 5– Peter informed, –understood– said Matt.

Wade and Peter entered their room, –And of course as you imagined there was only one bed– Wade said turning to look directly to… nothing in particular, –I wasn’t thinking that– responded Peter, – It wasn’t for you, it’s for the hot person reading this, but don’t mind that, let’s go back to the important matter, the one bed problem– Wade elaborated and his mask moved up and down thanks to his eyebrows doing that movement below it as if what that explained something.

But he was right in one thing, the problem of the single bed, an idea surged, he launched webs making a hammock, –is resistant and will last all night– explained Peter, Wade looked in the same non-particular direction, he looked disappointed.

–Good night, Wade– told him Peter

–Night, Peter– responded Wade.

A week later they arrived to the city of Ooclo, the people hid from the party, guards approached them but not so much, except a group that demanded them to go to the Lord of the city.

They entered the mansion, just as they entered the guards pointed at them with their weapons, the heroes only lifted their arms in surrender.

–this city is besieged by demons– the lord started, –we can help with that– offered Peter, the noble narrow eyed Matt, perhaps believing as he had thought at first that the man was a demon, if the warrior/lawyer was offended he didn’t show it.

–that’d be good, but you need to consider that the leader of the demons is Rash the shredder, the reason why I’m telling you this is that I believe that your arrival here was pure luck or more precisely that you’re condemned because you can’t leave the city now without risking your life– explained the lord, and indeed the name of the demon was to be feared  as it had tormented for centuries according to the legends, but the time was running and they needed to leave the city, whether they fought demons or not.

–I don’t know about these two but Red and I have killed Demons for ages– assured Frank, truly Peter had never faced one, he had stayed in the city his whole life and if a demon came into it some guild had killed it when he learnt about –anything I should know? – he asked, –they’re beast that only learnt to talk to deceive humans and kill them, no matter what they say, they do not have feelings nor family, they can use magic and live all their existence to dominate one kind, each demon chooses a different one to focus and expend their life perfectioning it– explained Matt.

–ok, we need to cross this city, so be it, we’ll defeat those demons– claimed Peter, the rest of the party cheered.

–I wish you good luck, if by miracle you win, I can grant you a reward– the lord told them although he didn’t seem convinced, perhaps he had said those words to many other adventurers.

They were accompanied to the door they needed to pass to go on their way. It opened just enough to let them out and was closed right after the last of them left the city.

There was silence, too much silence.

No wind, no birds, no insects, nothing.

Without doubt there was something wrong there, Peter’s senses warned him that they were being observed, not just that, they were viewed as prey, a blood lust ambience flooded the area.

Now that he could notice better, pieces of armors laid on the ground, then a malicious laugh emerged –Rash, the shredder I assume– Matt said when a white haired demon appeared, he had the appearance of a noble but with horns, the demon grinned –that’d be me, you must be the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen– he said pointing to Matt. Peter had heard that name, they also called him Daredevil, he was rumored to be a demon who killed demons.

But then why did he help them? Why did his guts tell him he was on their side? Peter was starting to believe the man was hybrid between demon and human.

–you’re The Punisher, you must be Spider-man and…I don’t know who you are– Rash continued pointing to each member of the party, the last being Wade, –I want a cool name too, what about Deadpool, I like that one– Wade proposed, –don’t waste creating a name for it to remember it, that thing is going to die today– Frank told Wade.

–my, there is no need, we demons were given the use of words so we can dialogue– the demon said with calm, Frank shoot his weapon, the demon evaded it –that was rude– Rash exclaimed, then summoned a pair of tubes with spikes that approached to them with great velocity –is just that? Is that your special magic? – unimpressed Peter said, then threw his webs to stop them, the webs were shredded without any resistance –uh, guys, I think we’re in a very pointy situation– Spider-man joked nervously, –don’t worry, we’ll pierce it together– Matt told him, then grabbed him and ran directly to the tubes –what the fuck are you doing? – Peter cried, but Matt ignored him, instead turned to Frank, –when I tell you to jump you jump and follow my lead– he told him, –so bossy Red– complained Frank, –Frank– tiredly told him Matt, –you know I trust you my life– Frank confessed, Matt nodded, –Jump! – he yelled, and they got over the tubes, –left, right, right, left, jump– ordered Matt, and Peter saw how now they were on the other side, close to Rash, Peter shoot his webs, they captured Rash, but he may be able to escape, also there was a chance he just redirected the tubes of death in their way before killing him.

Frank blasted the demon when it tried to remove the web, then Peter used his magic to swing the demon in front of his own tubes, they didn’t recognize their master as they shredded him before Rash could make them go away, he still had some force left but Wade was still on that side, he took one of his axes and cut the head off the demon.

The rest of the demons were easy to deal with; they were nobodies of the week.

They returned to the city to tell them that they were free from those demons, the lord gave them cash and provisions for their travel, the others took the chance to ask for what they wanted.

After 3 months since starting their travel Peter got sick, a simple flu, but they needed to take a little pause, they were in such a small town in middle of nowhere, the doctor had to leave in request of someone from other town that was going to give birth, and there was no inn, thankfully a kind person opened the door of their house and let them stay in one room.

Matt and Frank left to see if they could catch with the doctor, meanwhile Wade stood by Peter’s side.

–all you need to be back in shape is some chicken soup, it works in every story– Wade told him, Peter smiled softly and breathed with heave, –I don’t have a chicken– interrupted the person who offered their house, Wade searched inside his skirt until he found what he looked for –can you get us some from the market? – he said handling them some coins, the person recoiled before the action was completed –no, but I can stay with him while you go to the market– awkwardly offered the person as he filled a cup of water and handling it to Peter.

Wade didn’t took long before returning –got the chicken, you will be fine soon– he said and started preparing the meal, meanwhile Peter rested his eyes a little.

When he woke up Wade was by his side, there was a hot bowl of soup too. –want me to feed you? – offered Wade, Peter smiled softly, –I’m not a baby– the sick person said and took the bowl between his hands, the warmth felt great and the flavor… well thanks to the flu he wasn’t able to identify much, just that it had salt. –thanks Wade– he said, Wade lifted a bit his mask, he did it to eat, and Peter could see multiple of scars, he wondered if the rest of his face was like that, and the revealed mouth smiled, it moved but Peter didn’t heard what he said, he was looking those lips, and oh boy, how much had he been staring again?

–penny for your thought? Or like whatever currency we got here– Wade asked, –you always wear that mask– pointed Peter, –yup, lot’s of people get scared because of them and confuse me with a zombie– joked Wade, which made Peter laugh because in theory Wade was a zombie.

By definition a zombie was a corpse revived with magic, and he was that, except that zombies couldn’t just walk away from the necromancer who had revived them, and they usually were kept without mind of their own, it was a creepy subject he had only seen it come in magic books 4 times.

–What? I’m not a zombie.

–didn’t say anything.

–but you thought about it.

–I wouldn’t be scared.

Wade mouth twisted to one side, then he retired the mask revealing it full of scars, Peter gave him a thumb up, the other imitated him.

–told you I wouldn’t be scared.

Time passed, enough for the wizard to finish his bowl, –what do you think Frank and Matt are doing, right now? – wondered Peter.

Wade made an “O” with one hand and with the other pierced it with his index finger with an in and out movement. Peter threw him a pillow –they went for a doctor, they’re not fucking, you dumbass– chuckled Peter, Wade lift the pillow and handled it to Peter.

– I mean, probably not right now, but like haven’t you notice they have a thing whenever they’re together?– questioned, doing waving his eyebrows, –oh they totally do have something– agreed Peter.

Next day Matt and Frank returned with the doctor, he gave some medicine to Peter and in a week, he was ready to continue his quest.

In the month 5 of their journey to arrived to the temple of Danow, perhaps they didn’t have the goddess’ blessing because the temple was a monster’s nest.

–we need magic to infiltrate inside the temple or be strong enough to beat all these monsters, which I don’t consider we are– Matt informed them, –I can cast a spell to make them not be able to detect us, but it will be useless if they manage to see us– Peter said covering the party with his magic.

–Good, now Peter and I can infiltrate, while you stay there and cover our backs–  Matt told to Wade and Frank.

–why do you always give us orders? –Wade complained

–because he is bossy– responded Frank

–can we not do this right now? – pleaded Peter, –we’ll talk about it later, for now I need to know if you can cover us–

–We got your back– agreed Frank, –I can move like a ninja too for your information– exclaimed Wade, Matt shushed him –you’re too loud, they’re going to hear us–, –what’s a ninja?– mumbled Peter, but Matt dragged him to another place.

–there are three monsters– paused Matt, as they hid behind a wall, –now– he said and they crossed without problems, –there is only one now, but it will certainly will call for allies before we defeat it so we need to wait– Matt informed Peter, the latter was impressed by the espionage magic his vanguard possessed, perhaps he should ask him later to teach him.

They got into the temple without more problems, it was adorned with drawings of the goddess and the relic –what do you think?– asked Peter amazed at the sight, –I think there is so much dust, and mold growing because the roof have leaks–commented Matt, which now that he wasn’t focused on the imagery, yeah, the place had not been taken care, the hero house was more well preserved than the temple –was talking about the murals, but yeah, I guess you’re right– told him Peter, following the drawings to the one who pointed where the relic must be or at least must have been, –You’ll have to describe those to me– Matt asked him just as he followed him, Peter frowned, there where windows that illuminated the temple well, the images were clear.

The mural told them the relic was on the second floor –we need to go up– Peter told him he shot a spider web to get up because the stairs were destroyed, Matt used the rubble to in a zig zag to get up there.

–what do you mean that I need to describe them to you, they’re right there, light is good– Peter asked, Matt’s head tilted to a side, –I’m blind– he stated, and wait what? But then how he moved like… –oh, you didn’t know, that explains you never asked the regular questions that come with people knowing I’m blind, ok, here is my story, I wasn’t always blind, my brother burned my eyes by accident when we were kids, I know what you must be thinking “but aren’t you a dragon?” and not fully, my dad was a dragon but my mom was human and by my luck I didn’t born fire resistant. As to how I do what I do, I did inherit really good senses so I trained them to guide me – explained Matt, leaving Peter with a gaped mouth during all the revelation.

–well, sorry, didn’t know, umm… it is craved in the walls and painted in pinks the arrival of the goddess, how she saw the people being so sad that one of her tears formed a crystal which is the relic, then the story changes into the prophecy of the hero taking the relic to save the people, and there was a drawing of the hero looking up so I thought the relic should be here since the pink walls are also here– informed Peter, –no need to apologize and I don’t want to disappoint you but there is nothing that emanates magic in this place, just the monsters outside– Matt pointed, the wizard sighed, –I imagined that was a possibility– shrugged Peter –I shrugged– he described remembering what Matt just revealed about himself, the man in question laughed –I know, don’t worry too much, better continue search for the next clue– Matt told him, and yeah Peter followed the images while describing them.

How Merú, after using the relic, wanted to offer it back to the goddess but when he turned, she wasn’t there.

And in the image, he placed the relic in the place where he had defeated that great evil.

Desipre, the place of the legends was past the mountains of Tlanrou, if they had luck they would arrive in another five months.

The temple trembled, –what’s going on? – exclaimed Peter, –those idiots started to attack the monsters– Matt groaned, –we need to get out of here– Peter exclaimed as they did that.

It was a stampede of monsters when they found Wade and Frank, the four of them ran until they were safe.

–I think this can explain why you should listen to me– Matt scold the barbarian and the gunner.

–We got bored– Frank confessed with a shrug.

–idiot you could have died– Matt complained, –please Red, it takes more than that to kill me and you know it– denied Frank, –doesn’t mean you have to keep testing what is what will kill you– Matt objected, grabbing Frank’s face and kissing him passionately, the other responded with the same intensity, perhaps even forgetting that they were not alone.

–Ain’t nobody going to ask about me? – wondered Wade, –you’re immortal–Peter reminded him, –but I also like attention– complained Wade, that made Peter laugh –ok, I promise I’ll ask about you next time– he promised, –I’ll take your word granted for that– Wade claimed, –can I get a kiss too? – he added and Peter blushed –I-I’ll think about it–

Time for joking stopped –we’re going to Desipre, the final destination of the hero journey; there is no time to lose. –, with that said they departed in track to their next destination, however about losing time…

Their good hearts couldn’t help but to stop every time someone needed their help, a lost kid, a town that was threatened by a demon, a person who broke their leg and couldn’t reach to next town to get to their family, and other stuff of the same kind.

6 months after the start of the quest  when they were in a town which name they couldn’t know because it wasn’t in their map last time they checked and they could barely walk forward because there was a big storm, the wind was so strong that knocked down trees and there were no paths, the party could have handled it (probably), but the weather was still terrible, besides they would like to help the people after the torment.

They just entered an inn, all wet and dripping, the owner was an old lady –oh goddess, I’ll bring you some towels– she exclaimed and hurried up, meanwhile panting trying to close the door.

It took them a minute or two that seemed eternal.

–can you make sure everyone is inside? – asked Peter to Matt referring to all the citizens of the town, but the latter shook his head, –there is too much noise, sorry–, the old lady came back with the towels and apparently had heard them –don’t worry, we all knew this torment would came today, everyone prepared for it for years– she told them –I didn’t know there existed weather report that precise– , –it’s because it comes every year– laughed the old woman.

–tell me you still have rooms–

–well, usually I have tons, but at this time we like to throw a little party inside the inn, so we only have 2 spare rooms but…– she looked at them –there is only one bed per bedroom–

–don’t worry we’ll manage it– Peter said as he paid for the stay, the woman gave them the keys and invited them to assist to the party.

The party was a great dinner, some music to dance to, Wade asked Peter to dance so they did so until they got tired.

Peter let himself fall on bed, he bounced with how soft it was, he groaned when he felt his back and feet rest.

–want a massage? – asked him Wade, –that’d be great– acknowledged the wizard, the sinking on the bed indicated him that wade had sat down, that fact was followed by strong hands that grabbed a leg, took out his shoe and started rubbing it, making pressure to unmake his tension, it felt great, and he didn’t doubt to let him know it, Wade patted that leg and lifted the other doing the same procedure. High in pleasure he couldn’t avoid to let out a moan, the massaging stopped, Peter felt his face grow flushed –oh? – curiously exclaimed Wade, he continued massaging, the hands traveling up, Peter felt something more than his face grow hot –tell me if I should stop– Wade asked –no, keep going– allowed Peter, with that clarified they lost no more time, Peter yanked the mask away and their lips met searching for more ways to touch, Peter extended his arms to touch Wade, they needed more and more, Wade passed the massaged leg over his shoulder and rubbed Peter’s crotch with his hand, when that wasn’t enough to satisfy their thirst Wade rubbed his own erection against it, producing another moan, he let go a bit of Wade to put a hand over his mouth, –let them out, I want to hear you– Wade told him but he couldn’t because –Frank and Matt could hear us– especially the latter one with those senses.

Wade chuckled, –I could bet all that they’re fucking, they won’t mind us– Wade kissed Peter’s neck, –you bet that all the times we’re not with them– joked Peter, they helped each other to take their clothes off.

without the barrier Wade rubbed their members together with his hand, –fuck– moaned Peter, their lips found each other and Peter felt a spasm, –I'm gonna...–

–me too–, then both men came, and panted.

–ufff... that was– said Peter between breaths, then he felt Wade's hand exploring his body again, –Wade...– Peter exclaimed, Wade stopped his hand, –you don't want to keep going?– asked him Wade, and to be honest, he wanted to find what more his hands could do "I do" he admitted, soon  a finger found what wanted and went inside him –oof– exclaimed Peter, Wade grined then worked his finger inside, he added another and thrusted in and out, didn't took him long to find the right spot that sent a shiver of pleasure to Peter.

Having find his goal, Wade repeated the movements to make the man down him moan, not satisfied by it Wade added yet another finger repeating the same movements.

–Wade– urged Peter, happily the other man understood him, he took out his fingers, leaving him empty, Peter complained at the loss, but was quickly was rewarded by what he desired, Peter moved his hips to meet Wade's lunges, he wanted more, he needed more, with his hands he grabbed Wade's back neck and brought him to a serie of messy kisses.

In the other room, Matt was sitting in lotus position, meditating on the bed without his armor, without his red shades, just plain soft clothes, Frank was cleaning his weapon in a table, then the sound of furniture, to be more precisely a bed moved in rhythmic tempo, Matt laughed softly –don’t be so puritan Red– complained Frank, –It’s not that, is that they think we’re fucking– explained Matt, –We are, just not right now– Frank told him, –And don’t you think we could make it into true? – Matt walked towards Frank and sat on his lap, the latter grinned –I don’t see why not– Frank said, –me neither– there was a little pause that settled Matt’s joke and they laughed, Frank put away his arquebus, Matt grabbed his face and pressed their mouths together, rough, demanding, Frank bit his lip as response, but Matt took it as a challenge and bit him too, then when he drew a bit of blood grinned at him, savoring the red liquid between his sharp teeth with his tongue, Frank yanked his head away from him from Red’s hair only to bite his neck.

He pulled down his pants and did the same with Matt’s, they started jerking each other’s dicks, Frank lifted Matt over the table, he bit the inner of his legs and kissing them after, Matt moaned with pleasure, then took his dick in his mouth, started licking and sucking, Matt pulled Frank closer with his legs, precum already staining Frank’s mouth.

Man bobbed in and out, Matt shivered,  –Frank, I’m gonna–, he stopped sucking his cock and started pumping it with his hands –do it, Red–, and cum spurt, it wouldn’t be wasted, Frank took it with a finger that inserted into Matt’s asshole, fucking him, then inserted another –just do it already Frank– panted Matt, –you’re so bossy Red, but I love you for it–, Frank turned Matt to have him bend over the table and thrusted his dick inside his lover –like this? – asked Frank with a hard thrust while grabbing Matt’s horns, –Faster–, the Punisher didn’t doubt to obey such request, he moved his hands to Red’s hips and augmented the pace, trying to maintain the same force.

between a series of curses the rhythm became erratic and both came.

It was an excellent night for the 4 adventurers, they stood there for another few days, helping the town be back in shape, Peter suggested them ways to reinforce their houses so there wouldn’t be too many loses next year.

It had passed 8 months since the heroes had commenced their adventure, their time was vanishing, and they were in another side quest, luckily it was also on their way, since the region was full of monsters they couldn’t be able to deliver letters.

All was going alright, some flying monsters, nothing that the team couldn’t handle, except that the earth shattered right below their feet, Peter shot webs to a nearby tree and other to his companions, but something was wrong, the webs were thinning, –uh oh– he exclaimed, –I don’t like how that sounds– exclaimed Frank, Matt made his baton turn into some kind of nunchakus and threw one to do the same maneuver as Peter, but it was too late, they kept falling, then Wade used his axes against the walls to decelerate the descent. It wasn’t of much work, the walls were made of a strange crystal –they’re sealing magic crystals– explained Matt as if reading his mind, he did that sometimes, he was starting to believe he was actually the devil or something.

Wait, sealing what? Oh no.

The webs disappeared completely. They had a harsh landing, cushioned by Wade’s body.

–please someone tell me all of you are alive? – asked Peter, he heard 3 different grunts that sounded like his friends, that reassured him a little but that calm was quickly gone.

Now that they were at the bottom, they needed to figure out how to get out, without magic.

Peter breath agitated, he needed to quick the pace, the time was running out, and what if they didn’t find the relic on time? What if the relic no longer had the power? What if he had done this adventure for nothing, if he lost the last moments, he had with his aunt for doing this stupid quest instead of enjoying the rest of her time together, he was the only family she had and he had abandoned her in his quest for a possible cure.

She probably was so sad that no one visited her in her last moments, that he left her alone, and hated him for being such an asshole, what was worse is that he had swore to his uncle Ben that he would make sure she was alright, but how would she be alright with what he had done to her?

His aunt and uncle were with hm his whole damn life and he…

–I’m an idiot, I spend months in searching for a cure instead of passing dear time with my aunt, I should have treasured every moment with her– sobbed Peter, he was staring to hate himself, the time was ending, –you will enjoy the time she has left after we find the relic– reassured him Matt.

–She must rightfully hate me for abandoning her.

–You told us that she knows the reason you left, then she must think you’re a kind man, and Red is right, once we find the relic and cure her you can tell her how many people we have helped, she’ll be happy to hear that, I’m sure.

–Thought you didn’t believe in the goddess, Frank

–I don’t but I think people are capable of creating miracles sometimes, and I think this party is capable of it, kid.

Peter cleaned his eyes –We only need to find a way to find a way out of here– he exclaimed.

–Don’t panic, this happened in the magic asexual elf anime, and they just walked by a cave to get out– Wade groaned in pain as his body recovered itself.

Peter had no idea what Wade said sometimes, he just talked alone saying random things, the wizard considered it funny, and just as the living corpse said there was an opening to a cave that they decided to follow.

Indeed, the path lead them to the surface again, –we lost so much time–lamented Peter then an idea surged on the genius –How didn’t I thought it before? Matt, you’re part dragon, can’t you change into a dragon form and fly us to where we need? – asked the wizard, –I can transform, it’s just, there are many monsters in sky because there are no many people with the ability to fly, and um… the– Matt paused to wave his hand in front of his own face –blind, thing–

–oh, what if we guide you? – Peter asked not desisting on his idea, Matt raised one eyebrow, –tell me you’re not considering it Red – pleaded Frank.

Before they could regret of a poorly made decision a red dragon appeared in the sky, roaring.

–hey, is your brother– pointed Wade, –Not all dragons are family– Peter scolded him.

Matt tilted his head to a side –he smells familiar, though–

They had no time to continue their talk as they were blasted by blue fire; Peter conjured a shield made of webs that successfully protected all of them.

Wade threw himself to attack the dragon, –Die you bastard!– exclaimed the barbaric living corpse the slashes did not cut the skin of the creature, but the force of it pushed it to the ground. –wooooo!!!! – celebrated Wade, yet it was not the right time for it because the Dragon lifted and started trashing, and charging against them –would be better with some help– admitted Wade to the others, –distract the Dragon, there is something wrong with them– told him Peter, rolling to a side to avoid a flame directed at him, –yeah, the problem is that we didn’t do shit and they want to kill us– complained Wade, –is wearing a necklace– pointed Frank, –I can sense magic coming from it– confirmed Peter, already casting a spell to analyze the magic behind the article.

–great, what we needed, a pet is attacking us, no offense to our local horny guy– Wade said, the horned man growled in response, –he is being controlled asshole– Matt told him as he grabbed the neck, and forced him to the ground, he was about to grab the jewelry to snap it off when Peter’s yell stopped him, –No, it would affect you too! Just hold him–

Wade, Matt and Frank held the creature while Peter unmade the effect.

The necklace opened and fell to the ground, the dragon stopped attacking –oh no– the creature said, he sounded extremely distressed, –it’s okay– Matt reassured the dragon, the latter changed of shape, into what seemed an exact double of Matt, –oh brother of mine, it’s been a long long time– the now neckless dragon said, –Mike– Matt exclaimed, –oh, It was really, his brother, I swear I didn’t know–Wade exclaimed, –I’m sorry for kicking your ass– Wade added, the dragon, Mike laughed, –well, I burnt your ass so we’re even– pointed Mike, and until then Wade noticed that his skirt was set ablaze, he threw himself on the ground and rolled to set it off, the whole party laughed.

Mike looked like Matt, ginger hair, red horns, except that he had no burning scar in his eyes, he did had burning scars as well, but they were on both arms, –what are you doing here– the twins asked at the same time, –I asked first– Mike said, –I asked second– responded Wade, although he had not asked anything, –We’re looking for a relic of the goddess– explained Matt ignoring the barbarian, Mike nodded, –I was living my life amazing, got a boyfriend who I love very much and I thought he did the same as me but– Mike glanced to the discarded necklace, –I think he didn’t love me as I thought– he exhaled a heavy breath, –who gave you that? – Matt asked his twin grabbing him by the shoulders, –My boyfriend, Rich–, –I’m going to break his arms and legs– promised Matt.

They delivered their package and then started asking around for the so called “Rich”.

It was the son of the man who ruled the city, and the party knew him very well, Matt had confronted him legally before back in their own city because he was (not so) secretly a boss of a criminal net, Frank also hated the man and had dealt with the rubble path that the man had caused, Peter was no stranger to deal with the bullshit of that man.

–Can’t believe you’re dating the son of the kingpin– Matt said rubbing the bridge of his nose.

–I didn’t ask for who was his parents when I started dating him, you know– explained Mike with his arms crossed.

–I might have an idea of where he could be– Mike expressed, and guided them to a big mansion.

The butler’s eyes widened when he saw the twins arrive –Mr. Murdock, I didn’t know you had a reunion with master Richard– the butler nervously said referring to Mike, – out of my way old man– Mike, heavily marching towards the door.

Inside they were in a very fancy house, so much spacious, –by the description of Richard, there is a man fitting that description on the third floor– Matt informed, the other twin fury raged enough that he huffed blue flames while walking. Richard was a very dead man walking.

A door opened and a man exited, he was looking down, dragging his feet every step and didn’t know what he hit him.

Quite literally, in a flash of moment Mike was over him, growling with those blue sparks.

–this is going to get interesting– Wade commented elbowing Peter, the latter smiled.

–Rich– spat venomously Mike, and while they were expecting the man below suffer and plead for his life what they saw was something completely different.

The man was smiling, that set alarms to Peter and made a sign to get the others in combat mode, surely a man smiling in that moment meant that he had some trick under his sleeve.

–Mike, thank the goddess you’re okay– Richard thanked, his eyes shined with tears, he smiled even more.

–Don’t play stupid, you put me that fucking control necklace– accused him Mike, his boyfriend carefully lifted one hand to caress Mike’s face –I’m sorry my love, my father told me I should give it to you and I didn’t know it was cursed until you disappeared and I confronted him– explained Richard, –you must think I’m stupid to believe such excuse– snarled Mike, moving away Richard’s hand.

–he is not lying– Matt stated, Mike’s mouth gaped as he looked at his brother, then turned to look the same way to his boyfriend.

The latter observed him with great softness, –you’re not lying, huh– Mike said out loud, perhaps to convince himself, –I will kill my father if that makes you happy– promised Richard.

–No killing– intervened Matt again, –yeah, not while Red is present at least– Frank told them as secret even if he knew that “Red” could hear him perfectly as if he had shouted it for everyone.

–I heard that– Matt reaffirmed.

Richard stood up, crossed his arms and challenging observed Matt –what do you propose to stop my father if not with death?– he asked, – with a trial, we sent him to jail to pay for his crimes– Matt responded as if it was the most obvious thing.

–I don’t know how to tell you this, but my old man is rich enough to buy judge, jury and burry any evidence– explained Richard as if Matt was an idiot, and perhaps he was, Peter have also considered that a trial would be useless  –A trial sounds great and all but I think those take a lot of time which I remind you, we don’t have– lied Peter, with exception of the not having much time left, that was true.

Matt hummed, considering it, –Mike, can you take us to Desipre? – asked the lawyer, –probably but I’m beaten, we can talk about it later, I need my rest– Mike told them, grabbing Richard’s hand and walking away –you can stay her, take any room you want, all of them are free, you can order a maid if you need food or something else– Richard offered them as he was starting to get dragged away, Matt took out his baton and hit Richard on one leg with all his force, it sounded a crack, the man cursed he wanted to go back and fight Matt but Mike dragged him away, making him limp his way out.

–why did you do that? He is actually a nice guy– Peter exclaimed once they were out of sight, –because is his fault Mike is hurt and because he is also a criminal– scoffed Matt, –but you said he wasn’t lying– Peter complained, – and he didn’t, not about Mike, but he was hiding something when I suggested a trial, besides my brother wouldn’t be interested in him if he wasn’t some kind of bad boy– Matt elaborated.

Next day Mike transformed into a dragon again, –I can fly you there, but there are tons of monsters, I can protect myself but can’t say I can do anything about them attacking you–explained Mike.

–don’t worry, I got the best vanguard– assured Peter.

Richard got out to wish them a good trip he had clutches, a cast in his broken leg. Matt took the chance to hit the man with his baton again, Richard evaded the attack to his sane foot, but Matt was aiming for an arm.

Crack.

–what the fuck is wrong with you? – yelled Richard, –don’t be a shit to Mike ever again– told him Matt, –I love him, I swear I won’t– Richard swore.

Matt nodded, which probably meant he took it as truth, it sounded like truth to Peter too.

–I still need to break your other leg and arm– that also sounded like truth to Peter.

Richard kissed Mike before takeoff.

They were so high that the city looked like toy sized, the wind hit them so hard pushing them back, Peter conjured some webs to stabilize them, they worked.

–ew, what’s that?– complained Mike, –just my webs so we don’t fall– Peter told him, –a web like an insect web? – Mike shivered, –actually is a spider web so is arachnid–the wizard informed, –a spider is a bug– rebutted Mike, –No, you see.. – when Peter wanted to explain the differences between bug and arachnid Mike spin downwards then upwards, leaving everyone dizzy –the fuck is your problem? – Peter questioned when he saw the problem approaching.

A flock of batlike creatures with three horns was chasing them –do something– Mike said with a new spin and a blast of blue fire, he managed to roast some of them but they were still a lot, Frank started shooting reducing another batch, then he freed himself from the webs that anchored him and jumped.

–that idiot– heard Matt say as he jumped following Frank, except that Matt also changed into a dragon catching him on air.

–oh so he can ride you, but we can’t– complained Peter, –he is my boyfriend, Spider-boy, of course I can ride him– Frank grinned,–told you, they were fucking– Wade reminds Peter, the latter couldn’t help but laugh  –oh my goddess, shut up Frank– Matt said, –then, you’re my brother in law, huh– Mike hummed, then spiraled again to attack. Wade freed himself as well and attacked the last ones and landed on Matt’s back. –I’m going to kill you– threatened Matt to Wade, the latter laughed, –one, I’m immortal and two you don’t kill– he reminded him, – thanks for reminding me, that means that I don’t have to hold back, and I will make you wish you could die– snarled Matt.

–geez, calm down, I’ll go back to aero Mike, he is friendlier– Wade said, –Mike! – called Matt, –on it–responded the twin, grabbing Wade with a foot claw and Frank with a hand claw, Matt extended one arm, Mike took it with his free hand and when he was secured Matt transformed back, –I’m going to descend so we can readjust– Mike informed them and everyone agreed.

Just in ground Matt hit Wade and Frank with his baton, –you fucking idiots, don’t do that again– reprimanded them the lawyer.

–Sorry.

–Sorry, Red.

–but, hey, now we know you can fly– Peter joked, –I was just gliding and because the wind my radar wasn’t working as normal– Matt explained, no wonder his reaction then.

They crossed the rest of the journey without much trouble, they saw flocks of monsters, but they managed to arrive to Desipre, the place the hero used the relic.

–here is it, our destiny– smiled Peter, the others as well an ancient fortress covered in vines.

Mike landed in an open area –I saw a camp back there, will be resting there, you guys go ahead for your goddess thingy– Mike told them as he stretched.

–thanks for everything Mike– thanked him Peter, –whatever for my little brother’s friends, and my brother-in-law– Mike grinned, then mumbled –after all, I owe him– and the man walked away in direction of the camp.

The dungeon where the relic was was just ahead of them, so they continued after waving Mike an ephemeral goodbye.

Matt tried to find all the traps, but just in case they sent Wade in front of them.

–this is labor exploitation– complained Wade, –you don’t even have a contract– recalled Peter, –because you just decided to follow us– , Wade paused, turned around and started walking backwards –I decided to follow you, not them, but I guess I can’t say it hasn’t been a candy for the eye the extra muscles I have seen– Wade winked.

Finally they descent to the lowest level of the dungeon, where there was a monster guarding a door.

–this is it, behind that door everything we worked for– Peter pointed, the party cheered.

The monster, a creature that looked like a mix between a lion, a beetle and a spider charged against them.

The beast was fast, and its legs were as hard as steel, precisely as well, they leave a very close range to evade them.

Matt and Wade attacked at short distance, meanwhile Peter and Frank shot with all they got.

–I need an opening– murmured Peter, Frank stopped firing –I’ll give you your opening– he said, grabbed one axe from Wade’s back and raged against the monster.

There was a grunt of pain and the aroma of blood, but Frank kept going, and so should he, Peter sent a web to the ceiling, and waited, aiming at the creature’s back, right where its wings were connected.

Wade swung his axe at one side of the thing while Frank the other, Matt attacked the front – count to 3 to jump, and you shoot, Peter– Matt ordered, –jump where? Just Jump?– questioned Wade, Frank nodded.

At that moment the monster noticed Peter and was about to turn his direction, but Wade managed to stop it and when the number 3 came Matt let a red fire breath that made the beast shriek, it panicked and opened his wings to fly away from the fire, taking the opportunity Peter shoot his spell, piercing the exoskeleton of the creature and killing it.

–we made it! – exclaimed Peter

–for a moment I thought we would die– admitted Matt, –everyone alive? Wade? – asked Peter

–yeah, I’m ok, just lost a finger or two but they’re already back–

–Frank?

During the fight Frank had gotten his torso stabbed by one of the legs, Peter hurried up to cure him, it didn’t take long.

The party walked opening the door, all those eight months of suffering had reached the culmination, soon all would have been worth it.

The inside was illuminated by a skylight that framed a pedestal, and there in the pedestal was absolutely nothing.

The mind and heart of Peter crashed, after all, he was an idiot.

Tears rolled by his cheeks, he should be thankful, there were still 4 months left to enjoy with his aunt, it was just that it wasn’t exactly that easy, it had taken them 8 months to arrive where they were, even if he decided to go back, he wouldn’t make it to say goodbye.

He laughed painfully, maybe with Mike’s help, they would be able to arrive in 2 or 3 months.

–ok, that’s it, sorry for making you all waste your time, I’ll pay you what I owe you guys when we arrive back– told them Peter.

–Peter…–Matt started, Peter however shook his head –No Matt, no more clues, no more nothing, I want to go back, I’ll pay your brother to take us there and I will enjoy my 2 or 1 month left with the person who saw me grow up, like I should have done all this time– lamented Peter.

They got out of the dungeon feeling defeated despite having conquered it.

Right outside was Mike sitting on the ground, eating an apple.

–I’d ask why the long faces, but I know, the reason– Mike told them, –good, you save us from more humiliation–Peter spat, –I know where is the relic– Mike informed, –yeah, sure– scoffed Peter, with faked humor, –Wilson Fisk has the relic– and Peter though he might had heard wrong, –what? – he asked.

–I said, Wilson Fisk has the relic of the goddess– repeated Mike, – the people of the camp told me about it, about a year ago Wilson Fisk made an expedition to the dungeon and took the relic with him–added Mike.

–but the boss monster was still there– confusedly stated Peter, and Mike nodded, –yeah, it fits, the camp said that they had a wizard specialized in sleeping so they crossed the dungeon making the monsters sleep and just took the relic without fighting. – explained Mike.

–what a coward– commented Frank, –Indeed– agreed Matt.

Peter smiled, this time was real, with a bit of hope reincorporated, –we’re so going to kick Fisk’s ass and get the relic out of his hands–

Mike transformed into his dragon form, –do your web thingy now, also, this is going to be faster, because who knows what the fucker had been doing with the relic so far, so hold yourself dear, I’m about to go fast–Mike warned, as if he hadn’t flighted them there so fast that they almost puke.

And oh, he didn’t lie, Mike was going somehow faster than the first time, they barely made stops, Mike landed in the mansion’s garden at next day, the landing was hard and shook all the passengers and surely the earth as well, the adventurers entered the mansion, Richard appeared immediately open arms to receive his boyfriend, already recovered from what Matt had done to him.

Mike was tired from the flight, he let out a growl to acknowledge his boyfriend’s greeting, the others didn’t want Fisk to have the relic any more minute, –where is your father?– demandingly questioned Matt, Richard smile banished at the hostility and gave a step back before was attacked by his brother-in-law.

The kingpin’s son hesitated, but not for much, not because the man wanted to talk, but because Peter had lost his patience and he was sure all his friends agreed with him, Peter captured him with his webs, Richard struggled in vain to get out of it, felling to the floor –where is your father?– repeated Peter, the man still trashed and groaned, but then he seemed to realize that there was no way out, –he is in the city and…– and they didn’t let him finish, they just walked out of it, Mike turned to blow him a kiss before leaving, Peter also turned to see the man on the ground and he sent him something too, a web to his mouth so he couldn’t warn his father or ask for help.

The webs wouldn’t disappear until hours later, and by then Peter hoped they had already recovered the relic.

It was easy to find the man once in the city, as he was the lord of it, he would be in his mansion.

Mike told them that he would wait for them at the inn, nobody opposed, he had crossed a mountain that took them days when going in just hours, man deserved to rest.

–you have to calm down– Matt suggested to Peter who hadn’t realized he had his knuckles very stiff, ready for a fight –we can’t let him stay with the relic, he could do something awful with it if he hadn’t done already– Peter told him, because perhaps Matt hadn’t practiced magic as much as him to know the severity of the situation.

–I get it, I don’t want it either, but you have to hold on for…– Matt paused, –10 minutes, starting since the we cross the gate, not to Fisk office, the entrance of the propriety– hummed Matt, –that’s…not much– agreed Peter, he took some air and then let it out easily.

And so, they were at Fisk’s place. Guards asked them their motive, Matt handled them saying it was about requesting a permit to harvest in the west forest, the guards agreed and let them in and scout them to their enemy office, the guard knocked the door, the voice of a man annoyed responded –come in and state your motives–, the guard opened the door, –Mr. Fisk you have a group of adventurers looking for a permit to harvest – the guard announced, –in the west forest– completed Matt, inside the man reading frowned at the words of their friend, or perhaps to his voice, he looked up annoyedly.

–oh, look what we have here. I would like to say that your arrive was not expected at all but actually all of this matter was quite predictable, thought you’d be here sooner – Wilson said to the group of heroes.

–if you know what we came for then this will be faster than I thought, just hand it over– exclaimed Peter, –I wouldn’t count on that– Fisk dismissed as he stood up,

–we need you to reconsider, it would be more beneficial for everyone that you agreed to our request– Matt politely responded.

–I disagree, I would be affected– disputed Fisk, –I presume you refer to your business associates– inquired Matt, Peter was starting to lose his patience but if his friend had told him to wait then it was because of something, perhaps he could track where the relic was while the talking was being made.

Fisk grunted in affirmation, – we encountered some of them in the City of Ooclo– Matt told him, his first idea was that he worked with the lord of that city, but by their enemy reaction Peter understood who were really the business associates.

–you got no proof– claimed Fisk, recovering a bit his posture, Matt passed like the office belonged to him –don’t I? well, I think you’re right, I don’t have them with me, I already sent him to my dear friend Foggy, you know him from your last trial– Matt informed him with smug smile.

Fisk clenched his fists, –I’m not sure that can be possible, what kind of proofs could Mr. Nelson have? – wondered the kingpin, –oh, you know, just the statement of the lord of Ooclo declaring that his city became sieged by demons when he didn’t agree with your terms– Matt told him.

Ah, so that was what Matt had asked for.

The criminal man exhalated, relaxing a bit and regaining his posture, –pure conjectures–

–could be, except that you threatened the lord of Ooclo to make him regret soon, and in a week the demons arrived, there are several witnesses that are ready to attest against you, and there is also your other crime, that you ordered your son to use a cursed object with mental control magic, which is a forbidden magic, I must add, to my brother– Matt told him, the composure that Fisk had regained has disintegrated with each word of the lawyer, –and If you’re wondering, I have these witnesses with me when your son declared so against you, but if we happen to not return I already used a magic device that let me record that statement and my brother’s– said Matt giving the knock down words.

–your brother? I thought he was giving it to you! You should be dead! – Fisk finally lost it, he punched Matt sending him to the ground, Matt was grinning with a bloody mouth.

–I WANT YOU DEAD!– yelled Fisk as he was about to hit Matt again, Peter inhaled some air, how long had it happened since they crossed the door? No need to ask, he had been counting, the answer was 9, and when he let out his breath the 10 minutes had passed.

–and we want the relic! – demanded Peter, distracting him long enough that Matt was back on his feet.

–if you want it you will have to pry it from my cold dead hands– Fisk said.

Peter cast some webs one hit the guard but unlike that man’s son he evaded them, when Wade attacked his legs with an axe a magic shield appeared, and Peter could feel it, the power of the goddess was coming from it, then that magic was from…

A big punch sent him flying until he hit a wall, he used his healing magic to recover faster, –he is using the relic right now! – exclaimed Peter.

Matt was sent from Fisk’s back to the ground with a headbutt, –then only other magic of the goddess can affect him, I only know the most basic healing and tracking magic of her –Matt groaned as standing up for the next round.

–I only know healing, Wade, what about you?– wondered Peter as he evaded a next punch, –Nothing at all, sorry– Wade said as he tried to see if throwing all his knives at Fisk worked.

It didn’t work.

–if you can hold him still I can take him off– Frank said, –Do you know a fighting style of the goddess magic? – astonished asked Peter, –long time ago I was going to become a priest, for a really long time I thought that time was a waste of my life, but if that helps me kill that fucker, then I’m glad– Frank grinned aiming his weapon at Fisk.

–No killing, I want him to take him to justice later– reproached Matt, Frank sighed –damn it, Red–, Matt smiled – we’ll get your time–

It was easier said than done. All their attacks were blocked, and in exchange they could not always block the ones that came their way.

Then Peter got an idea, he jumped through all the room using his webs, he looked insane, but he told himself to trust the process, after all, magic worked with how the people imagined it to work, so he kept going.

Until his hard job finally made a difference.

Peter made his webs to occupy space, that simple, normally, when he used them, he aimed at his target, but now, he convinced himself that the only targets were the walls, here and there, until he filled the room, there was less space to move.

Frank could shot Fisk without any of them being in the fire line, the man indeed lost no time and fired at him.

The arquebus’s bullet radiated magic of the goddess too so when it arrived to Fisk no barrier was formed and hit the man on a leg.

Fisk cursed, but he was a though man and wouldn’t fall for a single bullet, which was no problem for Frank since he was already firing his next one.

The second shot went to the arm, and Frank blasted once more to the uninjured leg.

Pain started to from in the face of that very powerful awful man, blood was spreading as fast as a river flow.

He stood there looking paler and paler with each second passing.

The man feared by much, Wilson Fisk had fainted standing up.

Peter patted the man’s clothes until he found the crystal, Peter grabbed the relic and prayed to the goddess that his aunt May recovered and for her to live so many years more.

When more guards arrived, they had to fight their way out, they hid, Peter used his magic so they couldn’t be detected by spells, and after going for detours they arrived to the inn to Mike’s room, he was still asleep.

–Attacking a Lord is punished with death in this city, in other words you're gonna need a really good lawyer– said Matt, –you were supposed to warn us about this before– complained Wade, –you’re our lawyer– Peter reminded him, –yeah, that’s why I made you wait until he attacked us first– told them Matt, –that we can declare the truth, that it was self defense–

Wade messed with Matt’s hair –that’s our lawyer–, the party laughed, not even that sound awoke Mike.

When the next day came and Mike finally woke up, they decided it was time to leave the city and go back home.

Just as Peter had estimated it took them around two months and half to go back.

–this is it guys– said Peter as he paid all, even if Wade hadn’t had a contract he did gave him what would be if he had had one, as well for Mike.

–thanks for everything– he told them with a big smile.

–why are you acting as if this was a goodbye? – asked Wade, –yeah, most of us live in the same city– agreed Matt.

–and besides, we need to see you reunite with your Aunt– added Frank.

–guys– Peter sobbed, thanking having such great friends.

They went to his aunt’s house, he knocked on the door, and Peter rubbed his hands, he hadn’t even checked if the hospital have allowed her to go back to her home, he just assumed that with the miracle…

–coming– the voice of her aunt sounded on the other side, then the door opened and revealed the one who had welcomed him every time when he came back from school, the one who cooked all their meals, the one that took care of him when he got sick, the one who had raised him into the man he was now –Aunt May, I’m back–

They hugged, Peter cried into her arms, he was so happy to see her again.

–I knew you would– she told him.

Then he told her all the adventure they had gone through, she kept smiling, – I’m happy to have a such a kind nephew, I already was in the knowledge of this but I hope with this you can see it for yourself– she said.

Peter flushed and tried to deny it, but his friends interrupted him to say that they saw him as a good and kind person, therefor Peter could only accept those words.

–Well, I don’t want to bother you any more, ma’m, I need to tell my best friend that I didn’t die– Matt excused, –well, I should be going too, nice to meet you– told her Frank and left with his boyfriend, –It was nice meeting you too– she said before they left.

As for Wade, he just cleared his throat, –you must leave too, I assume– she inquired, –why? You want me to? – Wade asked, she shook her head –No, dear, you can stay all you want, you’re Peter’s friend after all– she told him.

Now it was turn of Wade to shake his head, –ma’m, I’m no friend of Peter– he said.

–you’re not? – she asked confused, and Peter flushed, anticipating that Wade was about to reveal their relationship.

–ma’m I humbly ask for the hand of your nephew–

She chuckled, then Wade tossed the gold Peter had paid him, –this is my dote for him, so what do you say, do you accept? – she just smiled at him gently, returning him the money, Wade confident smile dropped.

–I appreciate you ask for my blessing, and you have it, as long as Peter wants you too– Aunt May said.

Peter was as red as Wade’s mask, –it’s too soon for that! – complained Peter.

–that, wasn’t a no– whispered Wade to his Aunt May, she responded with the same secrecy –it wasn’t a no–

–agghhhh– he exclaimed covering his face.

–Don’t make me wait to long to assist to your wedding, I’m old, you know– she said.

–well said, Aunt May– exclaimed Wade.

Peter flushed more and laughed, it was good to be back, it was good to have her with him, he may had cured her, but as she said, she was old and she would die at some point, he was not ready to say goodbye, but honestly, who ever is ready?

Death comes to everyone, even with the blessing of the goddess human didn’t last centuries, even if he was part elf and make it to live for a millennium he would die someday, even if Wade was apparently immortal the magic would run out at some point.

All he could do was enjoy what he had, create more memories and treasure them for the rest of his life.

–I’ll think about it–

Notes:

Matt is my fav and I think it did show (sowy for powering up my man for this fic, yeah I would do it again)
The prompts gave me two ways at first on how I was going to fulfill this exchange.
The Fantasy Au was a yes or yes to include, had already which characters I wanted for the story.
Then I thought in the how do I say goodbye and at first thought in the sick Aunt May plot, but it was an Isekai caused because Wade wanted to cheer up Peter, but he was only going to end more worried until they found the cure in the magic world :3c

The other way I thought was directly in the fantasy world with the brother prompt and it was going to be more a brofic but I didn’t know how to polish it, also the favoritism was way harder, so I decided on mixing both. :3
