Summary
What if there had been someone else there when the Nein found Lucien in Eisselcross, someone who could see more than they should, someone who knew what it was like to always be on the outside looking in? This is a retelling of the story we all know with one little change added in, and that change's name is Namila Bagheri. Together with our favorite grumpy dirt wizard, she will try to see through the masks and the lies that Lucien uses as armor against a world he has long since learned not to trust. Will they be able to change his fate? Will they be able to reclaim the friend they went to Foren to find? Only time will tell.
An AU retelling of the final arc of Campaign 2 as I think it would go if there was someone there to counter the anger and distrust the Nein feel and show when they first meet the Tombtakers in the ruins of A5.
