   Summary

   Hua Cheng was staring, slack-jawed. He needed to put on a smirk and fire off one of those irreverent lines that Xie Lian found so irresistible. But his beloved was so beautiful like this, hair unbound and face cast in red from the light filtering through the gauzy curtains. His expression was so full of gentle affection that Hua Cheng’s first impulse was to hide, but where would he possibly go? Where in the world could be safer than in the arms of his god?
