Summary
The worst part of all was that he was bored. It had been three days since he had last gone to work, last seen Viktor. There was no one to talk to, bounce ideas off of, just his empty apartment. Sometimes, he imagined Viktor showing up, worried and soft with some wonderful Undercity medicine no one in Piltover knew about to soothe his itching skin. He would caress his cheek with his wonderfully cool hand and say something sweet.
Something like “There, there, Jayce, it’s okay, you’ll be better soon and we can go back to work. I love you, by the way. I thought I should tell you as you are clearly on death’s door. We can discuss wedding plans later, of course. No need to rush into things.”
But that was impossible. And dramatic. Jayce was dramatic when he was sick. His mother told him that with a fond cluck once when was twelve and insisted he was dying from a bad cold.
