Work Text:

Everything felt way too overstimulating.

Birds outside, cars driving past, literally anything felt like it was grinding into Nooby’s skull.

He was curled up under covers upon covers, staring at his phone as he contemplated either sleeping or texting Guest. Or maybe getting up to dig for a heat pad somewhere in his house, but he did not want to get up. At all. Ever. Never again.

So he stared at his phone some more. And a bit more.

Maybe a little more.

He lost track of time staring at his phone. His thumb hovered over his messages, mind wandering as he tapped it.

His fingers glided as he texted some– most likely– slurred words that probably didn’t make any sense whatsoever, but he did not care in the slightest. He stared at the dots on the bottom of the screen as Guest texted him back, probably something about being right there. Nooby closed his eyes, huffing.

He didn't realize his door was opened until an incredibly concerned Guest barged in, panting and disheveled, almost. He sat right next to Nooby, fingers fiddling with one of his blankets. Nooby let out a half mumble, half grumble in response to Guest, huffing. Guest took out a notebook, scribbling a sentence on it that Nooby barely attempted to read.

“are you okay?”

Nooby stared at the paper, then at Guest, and whined out a simple “No.”

Guests hand extended towards Nooby's cheek, caressing it. Nooby leaned into the touch, wincing as his abdomen practically screamed at him for moving slightly. Guest gave him a sad smile, releasing Nooby’s face to write something onto his notebook.

“do you want me to lay next to you?”

Nooby stared at him with a blank expression for which felt like an eternity, before giving him a slow, tired nod. Guest gave an awkward smile with a light dusting of blush, maneuvering to scoot in next to the noob, wrapping his arms cautiously around Nooby. His hands resting on his stomach as they massaged it. Nooby let out a mix of a mumble, a whine and a moan all in one.

He slapped his hands onto his mouth, a thick painting of red smothered onto his already flushed cheeks. Guest let out an attempt of a chuckle, air huffing out from his lungs.

“You did. Not just hear that, ok?” Nooby cringed at the raspiness of his own voice, groaning as he buried his face in his palms.

Guest massaging his stomach felt really nice, actually.

The guest had comfortingly warm hands– not warm enough to be gross, but enough to substitute a heatpad. More specifically, the one somewhere in the deepest pits of his home. That he was too lazy to go and find. Go figure.

Nooby sighed.

Guest mimicked it.

The noob scootched back, closer to the guest in hopes of him holding him closer. Because by god, it was comfortable. Guest allowed Nooby to inch closer to him, face resting in the crook between the latter's head and neck, simply breathing him in. He brought a leg higher to wrap around the noobs, effectively spooning him in means of comfort. Nooby smiled, a pleased hum escaping him.

The two laid like that for what Guest assumed to be an hour or so. Maybe an hour and a half. The only reason they had got up was for food, and for Nooby to go to the bathroom and probably regret all of his life decisions, much like the author. Guest opened cabinets, looking for some sort of chocolate. Nooby had mentioned once that chocolate really helped him when he was going through this kind of thing, being sweet and just an easy painkiller. Guest doubted if that was really the case, but he grabbed some anyway. He also got a water bottle with hot water. Just in case. Yeah.

He had remembered that his sister would often get those during her periods, pressing them to her stomach as a makeshift heatpad. Guest hoped Nooby would appreciate it.

He went back over to Nooby’s bed, throwing a warm smile at the noob curled up and dying. He sat on the edge of the bed, handing Nooby the chocolate he had– surprisingly– found, and the hot water bottle with a tilt of his head. Nooby, wrapped up in blankets and in visible agony, grabbed the items and placed them in front of himself. He sighed, wincing and whining.

Guest rubbed Nooby’s back, fingers dancing along the fabric of the blanket that separated the two. Nooby whimpered, curling up farther. Guest could only sigh, scooting closer.

His fingers shifted to grab his notebook–

Nooby, with a staggering breath of my own body is going against me, grasped Guest’s hand. The guests eyebrows raised, confused as Nooby shifted to lay on his back, much to his own displeasure.

“Could… you uuhhm. Lay… on my stomach? Maybe? …Please?” Nooby’s face was faced in the opposite direction of Guests, a blush somewhat visible in the low light. The guest smiled, maneuvering to lay atop Nooby’s abdomen. He let out a thick sigh of relief, free hand travelling to grip the fabric of Guest’s hoodie. Guest nuzzled into Nooby’s chest, convincing himself to shift his weight lower, rather than hold it up in fear of crushing the noob.

The two laid like that for a while, the only real movement being Guest draping the blanket that was moved out of the way over the both of them. The noob’s breathing slowed, grip lessening as he fell out of consciousness. Guest took his free hand to press lightly against Nooby’s stomach, giving it what he hoped was a comforting massage. He smiled into the cloth of the noobs shirt, a gentle sigh escaping him.

Nooby woke up with an absolutely wretched headache. It was stabbing, throbbing and utterly horrid. He refused to open his eyes, comfortable with staying half asleep with a heavy warmth on his stomach and chest combined.

…Did he grab his heatpad last night? He didn’t remember. All that buzzed in his mind was how Guest came over to help him during his completely exhausting and painful cramps.

A sudden flood of a hazy memory washed over him, perking the noob to flutter his eyes open and look down.

Guest, hat thrown aside and face shoved into Nooby’s chest was what greeted him. He had an arm under the noob, the other being tightly pressed against Nooby’s side. Their legs were tangled together, one of Guest's socks being loose and floppy. There was a thin blanket haphazardly thrown over the two, mostly being crumpled up on one side of the bed.

Nooby dragged a hand up to Guests head, fingers threading through the shorter hair he had. The guest– even if barely noticeable– leaned into the touch, arm tightening around Nooby. Nooby smiled, other hand raising to cup Guest’s cheek adoringly– almost lovingly. His thumb rubbed the skin of his jaw, still bleary eyes creasing along with his smile. Nooby hummed.

He laid there, admiring Guest’s features as if he were a fine piece of art; hung up in a gallery for Nooby and Nooby only in this delicate and exposed moment. His gut was void of any cramps, Guest's warmth warding off any unpleasant mauling sprouted from his unwanted uterus.

Nooby’s phone buzzed. It was subtle– almost unfelt as it was… somewhere, in his bed. Maybe charging, maybe not. He huffed, shifting slightly to sit up more with the guest still in his lap. He grunted, thick ropes of sleep still dragging him down as his body protested from the bold move.

A loud, annoying plastic crash echoed throughout the home when Nooby moved his leg. Guest grumbled, eyes squinting up at Nooby, still quite obviously affected from sleep. Nooby gave him an anxious grin, opting to look at… what he just knocked over.

A sad, plastic water bottle sat on the ground, one side of it dented from the fall. Nooby looked away from it, closing his eyes.

God, he was tired. He wanted to sleep again. But he couldn’t do that– Guest was literally on top of him, cuddlin–

Oh god they were CUDDLING.

The realization hit Nooby like two semi-trucks, eyes shooting open. He looked at Guest, hands shifting to caress his face as if he were glass. Guest stared at him sleepily, arms shifting out from under him to hold the other's face as well.

“…good morning.”

Guest blinked at Nooby, sighing. He inched closer to the noob, face just barely inches away from the other. Nooby stuttered, a blush spreading across his face. Guest gazed at the noob, tired eyes slow to move.

“Uh… hi. There, Guest.” Nooby stuttered, keeping eye contact with the guest. The latter just moved closer, breath now intermingling with Nooby’s. He tilted his head, staring at the noobs lips, then eyes, as if it were a silent query. Nooby nodded feverishly, newfound confidence of oh my god my crush is going to kiss me oh my GOd!!!!!

Guest neared their lips, each moment feeling like an eternity. His arms shifted to wrap around his neck, creating a loose cage for the two.

When their lips met, it felt messy. Soft, loving, scattered but wonderful. It wasn’t planned at all– they clashed together messily, lips meeting uneven.

But it sure as hell felt good.

They eventually parted, staring at each other dreamily.

“Did… we just? Do that?”

Guest gave Nooby a breathy giggle, pressing his face into the crook of Nooby’s neck. The noob hummed, smiling and rubbing Guest’s back.

“Thank you for… coming over and helping me, by the way. It really helped a lot,” the noob muttered, resting his cheek on Guest’s head. He nodded into his neck, yawning. His breathing slowed, cuddling up closer to the noob who, quite frankly, was drifting back off to sleep.

“You think Nooby’s doing alright? Last time we talked he was in a bit of a sour mood and looked like he was dying.”

Acorn looked at Bacon, his question lingering in the air.

“Yeah, he’s probably okay. Plus, I saw Guest heading over to his place. He’s probably okay.”

“Yeah, well… I texted him earlier, and he didn’t respond. Probably sleeping?”

“Yeah, maybe.”

“Heh– what if Nooby and Guest were sleeping together– they’ve been pining for so long–”

“Oh, shut up.”

“Hah, okay.”
