Summary
Remus wanted the summer of 1978 to be over as fast as possible. The next three months were the last thing that stood between him and four years of foggy gothic buildings, wonderfully pompous academia, and an endless supply of books; he’d received a full ride scholarship into Princeton University, and now all he needed to do was bide his time until he could be shipped back to New Jersey.
It was his grandfather who reached out to Remus with the offer to spend the summer at his ranch in Montana. The letter detailed that if Remus were to stay with him rent-free, he’d greatly appreciate his help as a ranch hand, and though he couldn’t afford to pay him much, he’d do what he could to help Remus’s various college expenses. It was more generous than Remus deserved.
The only catch was the ranch hand he'd be working with; both his incredibly annoying personality, and his incredibly infuriating good looks.
