Damian and Dick were patrolling on their chosen route for the night, while Batman and Batwoman were in another part of Gotham.
“Wanna go to Blüdhaven for the weekend?” offered Dick.
“Perhaps, I shall look into my records whenever I have something better to do,” answered Damian.
Suddenly, there was a loud sound and a blinding light appeared on a nearby rooftop, only to disappear a second later.
“Be careful, we will go check it out,” reminded Dick mid swing.
“I am not an imbecile, Richard,” scoffed Damian.
“Still pays to be careful,” retorted Dick.
That, of course, was when they landed on the rooftop and saw four teens. Superhero teens.
“Why would you touch a weird magical suspicious glowing artifact?!” screamed one of them, who was dressed in something that looked similar to Damian’s Robin suit at one who was dressed in Superman’s t-shirt, leather jacket and dark trousers.
Next to the Robin dressed one was a red-beige blur.
Then there was also a blond girl with Wonder Woman t-shirt and red trousers.
“You are the one who touched a weird artifact first!” screamed out the Superman shirt one.
“That was an abused puppy, Kon!” yelled out Robin-look-alike.
“Supercycle isn’t a puppy! And it dragged you through Earth and then freed an evil guy!”
“Because she was abused! I had it under control!”
“You almost crashed into the Great Wall of China,” reminded the girl.
“Key word being almost,” grumbled Robin.
“So we’rein a paralleluniverse and inGotham. TheyhaveBatman. Oh ou,” the blur solidified into a boy, probably, with wild hair, fidgeting with something that looked like batarang. The last words were uttered when he cast a look at Damian and Dick.
Robin look-alike glanced at the speedster, trying to find what surprised him and soon his eyes behind the domino mask met with Dick’s and Damian’s. Robin let out a small sigh as he gave them a small smile and wave.
“Batman Batman or Rob Batman? I really don’t wanna deal with that today,” groaned the girl.
“Don’t mention it, you will jinx us! Find wood!” said the boy, looking frightened.
The girl knocked on his head.
“I’m not made of wood, I’m half Kryptonian,” grumbled the boy, glaring at her.
“Really? Couldn’t tell,” she smirked.
“Guys,” reprimanded Robin.
“What- oh ou,” reacted the boy.
“Who are you! Why are you dressed like that,” demanded Damian, jumping down next to them from where they were trying to make sense of the situation.
They did not find any sense in the situation. None at all. Other than the fact that the group was most likely from another dimension.
Dick followed behind him more calmly, keeping an eye on the group.
“Hiiii. We are just us,” reacted the speedster, beaming at them.
“We are from another dimension, I am the third Robin, this is Impulse, Wonder girl and that’s Super boy. We are heroes,” spoke up Robin.
“Are you part of the Teen Titans of your world? Or some sort of Young Justice League?” asked Damian.
“No, we are young, just us,” corrected the speedster quickly, looking annoyed.
“Third Robin?” reacted Dick.
“Your world doesn’t have a third Robin? Whoisthisguy? He doesn’tlooklike Rob. Are you another Rob?” asked the speedster.
“I am the superior Robin, the second of the name,” said Damian.
“Huh,” muttered Robin.
“What?” reacted Superboy.
“This isn’t me, neither is it Red, and N is right there. Imp, can you please go to Gotham schools-” started Robin speaking and the speedster disappeared in a blur.
Robin waited a couple of seconds, while Superboy sighed and Wonder girl just looked slightly amused.
“Andwhat?” asked Impulse upon returning.
“Find records on me and Red, please.”
“Sure,onit,bebackinaflash,” waved Impulse.
“Are we kidnapping you? Or any other Batkid? How many of those do you even want to kidnap-adopt, what if he has like, a twenty here,” sighed Wonder girl.
“Please, Rob, don’t kidnap Bat’s kids, he’s terrifying. Is your version of Batman terrifying? Did he do something to you?” turned Superboy at them.
“Are you accusing Father of doing illegal activities?” asked Damian, his hackles rising.
“No, no, no. I mean if he keeps you under surveillance, or a prison-like house, or something like that,” waved his hand Superboy, seemingly unconcerned with angering the child assassin.
“How do you know that? And why would Father have twenty children?” narrowed his eyes Damian.
“Why do you want to know?” asked Dick.
“So we can adoptyou,” said Impulse, returning with two small children, “gotthem.”
One of the children, who looked very much like a sick Victorian kid, was watching all of them with awe in his eyes and had an expensive camera around his neck. The other one was currently being handed to Superboy and was biting his arm and kicking at him. Or at least trying to. It didn’t seem to be working.
“Why do I get bitey small Red,” quietly whined Superboy.
“Fuck you! Timmy, don’t repeat that,” retorted the small bitey child.
“IwouldmurderforyoungyouRob,you’resocute,” cooed Impulse at the small child with a camera, beaming at him and holding him up by his armpits.
The child snapped a picture of him and then proceeded to take pictures of the others.
“H- hi,” the small child muttered.
“Hiiii. I’m Impulse, this is Superboy, Wonder girl and Robin from our dimension,” enthusiastically replied Impulse.
“You’re from another dimension? HowmanyRobin’sdidyourshave? Do you have Nightwing?! The first Robin, I mean. Like, circus Robin,” gasped the child.
The three of Young, Just us, cooed.
“You know his identity?” asked Damian curiously, pointing at bewildered Dick.
The child nodded seriously.
“If you hurt him, I’m going to push you off the roof, steal your spleen and realive you to murder you again,” growled the other kid, trying to twist out of Superboy’s hold.
Robin sighed, before lifting his hand and taking off his domino mask to look at the two boys with a small smile. He looked like an aged up fan/stalker child, still pale like a Victorian child but with more scars.
“Hello, I’m Tim, from another dimension. We got here thanks to Superboy. We had two Robins, I am the third. Yep, we do have Nightwing. You are completely safe with us, okay? If you want, Superboy can let you go, Jason, and Impulse can stop holding Timmy.”
“Oh my fucking gosh, I am Robin?” squealed Timmy.
Impulse held Timmy tighter to his chest, the kid melting to the touch.
“IhaveonlyknownsmallTimmyfromalternativedimensionthelastfewminutes, butifanythinghappenedtohimIwouldmurdereveryoneinthisdimension, except for you, Rob,andthenmyself,” he exclaimed.
“I don’t trust you. How do you even know my name,” narrowed his eyes Jason at Tim-Robin.
“I know you from our dimension, kinda. I know only things Tim and here-you would know, like the fact that Timmy’s parents leave him behind a lot. Kon, can you please let Jason go? Timmy, do you want Impulse to let go of you? I’m fairly certain that if you wanna stay there being hugged by him, he certainly won’t mind,” Tim spoke up, smiling at his counterpart.
“No, no, no, please don’t. I’m okay here,” muttered quickly Timmy.
Impulse made a sound, flopping down onto the rooftop carefully, still cradling the child as he quickly snatched a fidget spinner from Tim’s hand and started quietly speaking with the small boy.
“Okay, wonder boy,” replied Kon, letting go of Jason, who brushed himself off, looking like he wanted to go and kill someone (Tim was fairly certain that said someone would most likely be his counterpart’s parents).
Jason got a hold of himself fairly quickly, though, and went to stay next to Impulse and Timmy, looking distrustfully at them all.
“Can you please tell me what’s going on?” asked Dick quietly the three superheroes.
“Kon, Superboy, touched a weird glowing magical artifact which someone dug up and we were sent here. It already happened in the past, but with different circumstances and we were sent to different dimensions. How would you say your Batman treats you? Do I need to give him PowerPoint presentations on therapy, recommend books in said presentations and give him presentations on communication, neurodivergence and parenting?” Tim turned to Dick and Damian, his eyes sharp.
“Oh no. Not the PowerPoints,” groaned slightly Kon.
“PowerPoint presentations are great! Shut up,” hissed Tim, before expectantly looking back at Dick and Damian.
“I mean, it’s Batman, so- The presentations would probably be good,” nodded Dick.
“Father’s care is…” started Damian before trailing off.
“Better or worse than before Gotham?” asked Wonder girl, gesturing at the city around them.
Somewhere, police sirens sounded in Batman’s patrol part of town.
“Better, but, given my origin, that hardly speaks of anything,” scoffed Damian.
Dick felt his hands clenching when his mind decided to flashback to one of his conversations with Bruce regarding Damian.
“Okay, I presume you already live in Blüdhaven? Can you take Robin there in case of anything?” asked Tim, looking at Dick seriously.
“Yes,” nodded Dick before asking, “Will you need help to return to your home?”
“Nah, it will be fine, the authors wouldn’t just leave us stranded here,” waved his hand Kon.
Tim nodded before speaking again, “Does your Batman always carry kryptonite?”
Dick looked at Damian, who shook his head.
“Alright, thanks. Kon, Cassie, can you two go kidnap Batman? And some screen? And snacks? I just need to get the presentations and I will meanwhile look into a way back,” Tim turned at his two super team-mates.
“Sure thing, our fearless leader,” smirked Kon while Wonder girl just nodded before they were on their way.
