"Well…" Wil paused, "There are two parts to this, godling. Your preparation, and your Ascension."
"You must purify me, for the ritual?"
A low laugh. A hand on his thigh.
"In a way. You must make a vow to me, Techno. Just the same as I did to you. You must make me a promise, a binding one. You'll do that for me, won't you? After everything I've done for you?"
The hand squeezed. Techno's brow furrowed.
"Of course, H- Wil. You've been the most wonderful mentor one could ask, I would never have Ascended if not for your guidance."
A huff of air, something relieved. "That's my godling. My darling little Techno. Repeat after me, little god. I, Technoblade, God Of All To Come-"
Techno did so dutifully. The hand on his thigh slid further.
