Summary
Dick is at one of Gotham’s fanciest galas, wearing a perfectly tailored suit and flirting with any older man that catches his eye. He has learned to deal with his trauma through having many hookups and lovers, trying to gain back a sense of control. However, Dick is spiraling, and putting himself in risky situations, just wanting to feel loved and worthy again.
Slade is also at the gala - he had turned down Dick’s past advances because he knew that Dick wasn't acting right. However, he wants to stop Dick’s risky self-flagellation (not to mention, he also has feelings for Dick) - so, he makes up his mind to become Dick's exclusive lover by the end of the gala.
