Summary

“I’ll… I’ll write to you.” He said with conviction. He met his eyes and shoved his pointed finger in his direction, “Give me your word. Tell me you’ll write back.”
Even as he said this it sounded miserably like the parting of lovers, like a man and wife separated by war where one would die and the other would continue to write and forever wonder why no response was returned. It was not his intention, but before he could amend his request, Lan Wangji was agreeing with equal resolution.
“Wei Ying,” He said, as he turned his back to head toward Gusu.
“Hmm?”
