   Summary

   Dani shut her eyes against the sunlight invading the bedroom. Too soon, the blissful haze between dream and wakefulness dissipated, and pesky thoughts about the day ahead intruded. She had never been a morning person, but for some reason, leaving the bed that day felt almost painful.
