Summary
A Man of Letters is not a fighter, he’s attentively studying under his father’s protective wing and he’s supposed to stay back when told to, which is always, until the father dies and the son has to keep the legacy going. The Men of Letters naturally aren’t mere archivists, but if fighting wasn’t absolutely necessary, they rather deal with problems in their own ways; with spells and wards, with Latin idioms and paranoid distance from the general population, which has absolutely no clue is always being protected by Men of Letters all across the globe. An archivist never dirties their shoes, but their hands. A good Man of Letters was a silent and studious one.
