Summary
Ever since the tragic death of her parents Salem has been able to see the dead. . .and they can see her. They always seemed to find her, no matter how far she ran, where she hid, there was nothing that could keep them away. So she stopped running. Now as an adult, she's learned how to use this "curse" for her benefit, as well as the benefit of the deceased who used to haunt her. But the dead aren't the only people who have Salem on their radar.
Hunters always seem to come knocking at the most inopportune times. Sam and Dean are no different.
When a job goes south and Salem is abducted from her home in the middle of the night, she has no choice but to follow along in the hopes of getting back to her store, and her life without ghost hunting, sooner rather than later. But not everything is as simple as it seems, and a single job away from home slowly turns into two, then three, then four.
Slowly, as the jobs keep getting more obscure, and Sam and Dean keep getting closer to the demon that killed their mom, Salem discovers that she herself is not exactly who she thought she was either. That maybe, just maybe, there's more hiding beneath their skin than they realized.
