Summary
Seonghwa dreams of drowning, of all consuming shadows, of eyes that glimmer in the darkness. He dreams of arms that embrace him, unsure if they're going to save him or pull him under for good.
Ever since the tragic accident that took his family away from him, Seonghwa feels like a ghost in his own life. He doesn't remember much about the accident or how he survived. All he knows is the brush with death left him... changed. Haunted, able to see things others can't. He lives his life in fear, unable to distinguish reality from the dark imaginings of his slowly unraveling mind. Abandoned by his friends and with no one to turn to, he's left to carry the weight of his existence alone.
When he stumbles upon a strange book while sorting through boxes at work, Seonghwa thinks it might be the key to understanding everything that's been happening to him. Desperate, he uses the book to summon a spirit, a deity, anything that might hold the answers he's looking for.
Seonghwa never expects to come face to face with the mysterious stranger he's been dreaming about for years.
