One rainy day, Amethyst was sitting on the couch eating blue Takis, staring outside, watching the rain come down. Just then, the warp pad glows and Peridot appears.
“What’s up P-dot?” Amethyst says, mouth full, swallowing all of the takis in one bite.
Peridot walks over to Amethyst.
“Well, Lapis is hanging out with Steven, and I was wondering if maybe you wanted to hang out and watch Camp Pining Hearts?” Peridot suggests.
Amethyst gets up and shrugs.
“Not like I have any other plans.” Amethyst says, nonchalantly.
They both warp to the barn and Peridot leads Amethyst to the TV spot.
Peridot turns on the TV and it says: Previously on Camp Pining Hearts….
Hours later, Amethyst is zoned in and staring at the TV. Peridot falls asleep leaning onto Amethyst’s shoulder. Amethyst blushes and turns off the TV. She falls asleep as well.
A few minutes later their gems start to glow and they fuse partially, but they both wake up and unfuse. Peridot panics.
“OH MY STARS!” Peridot yells, falling off of the couch, hitting her gem on the floor by accident.
“You okay, Peri?” Amethyst asks, offering a hand to help her up. Peridot blushes, scurrying away into a corner, overwhelmed by the new feeling she got. Amethyst goes to comfort Peridot.
“I can’t believe it, I can fuse…” Peridot says shakily, smiling. Peridot stands up and hugs Amethyst and their gems glow again and they fuse into Alantisite, falling over slightly.
After they try walking, they unfuse. Peridot lands on her face again, clutching her stomach, sick from inexperience of fusing.
“It’s okay, I did that my first time too.” Amethyst says, trying to comfort her.
“Thank you for letting me fuse with you.” Peridot says enthusiastically
“You’re welcome. But maybe you should get on the couch…” Amethyst says.
She picks up Peridot, puts her on the couch, and puts a blanket over her.
“I should get back to the temple, Garnet and Pearl are probably worried about me.”
Amethyst goes to leave, but Peridot musters her strength and grabs Amethyst’s wrist.
“Please don’t leave me…I don’t want to be alone.”
Peridot’s eyes sparkle as she says it.
Amethyst looks at the open door and then looks at Peridot’s face.
“Ughhhhh, fine I’ll stay.” Amethyst says, getting on the couch and sits next to Peridot.
Peridot cuddles next to Amethyst, making Amethyst blush. Peridot falls asleep eventually. Amethyst hears the warp pad. Garnet and Pearl rush into the room.
“Amethyst!” Garnet yells.
Amethyst shushes Garnet because Peridot is asleep.
“Garnet, be quiet!” Amethyst yells but in a whisper tone.
Peridot mumbles and squirms. Pearl whispers to Garnet and they warp back to the temple. Amethyst sighs and watches Peridot breathing in and out.
Peridot’s lips part slightly making Amethyst blush.
“What is this feeling…I’ve never felt it before…” Amethyst whispers to herself.
Peridot squirms more and cuddles closer to Amethyst.
Amethyst tucks a strand of hair out of the way of Peridot’s visor.
Peridot turns her head, now facing Amethyst’s chest. Amethyst gets extremely flustered.
There’s a slight bang outside and it startles both Peridot and Amethyst.
Peridot sits up, blushing when she sees how close they are together.
Their eyes sparkle as they look at each other.
“We should probably check what that sound was..” Amethyst says, getting up.
Peridot nods, shaking off the feeling she got. They go out of the barn and investigate. They see a trash can knocked over, hear another bang, and then a shadow.
Amethyst summons her whip and gets in front of Peridot, protecting her.
Suddenly, a corrupted gem comes out from behind the barn.
Peridot gets scared and uses her powers to grab a trash can and chuck it at the corrupted gem, only making the gem freak out more.
The gem attacks Amethyst, cracking her gem.
“You…CLOD!!” Peridot yells.
She grabs a metal bar and chucks it right at the corrupted gem’s gem, accidentally shattering it. Peridot starts to cry but she goes over to Amethyst.
“We need to get you to Steven..” Peridot says.
They warp to where Steven and Lapis were hanging out and Steven jumps up.
“Amethyst! Peridot, how’d this happen?!” Steven yells.
Peridot puts Amethyst down on the ground gently, starting to cry.
“We went to investigate a noise by the barn and it was a corrupted gem and I tried to protect her and the gem attacked her and it’s all my fault!” Peridot says.
Lapis walks over to Peridot and pats her shoulder.
“It’s okay, at least no one got shattered.” Lapis says.
Peridot gets nervous but Amethyst gets healed.
“Ames! You’re okay!!” Peridot hugs Amethyst, making her blush.
“P-dot it’s okay, I didn’t get shattered or anything…” Amethyst says, hugging her back.
Suddenly they fuse again. Steven and Lapis stand back, Steven eyes go starry.
“Ugggh. Not again. We just wanted to hug.” Atlantisite says, kind of upset.
“YOU FUSED!!!!!!!!!!!!” Steven squeals, hugging Atlantisite.
“Yeah, for the third time in 13 hours.” Atlantisite says.
“Third time, wow. Very impressive, but how long can you hold it? 5,750 years is the record.” Lapis says out of sarcasm.
Alantasite unfuses.
“Listen here you clod-” Peridot says but gets interrupted by Amethyst holding Peridot back.
“P-dot, chill.” Amethyst says, trying her best to calm Peridot down.
Peridot mumbles and sits on the ground.
“Come on Peridot, let’s go back to the barn.” Lapis says, grabbing Peridot’s arm.
Peridot sniffs.
“Okay, bye Amethyst.” Peridot says, sniffling again, not wanting to leave.
Lapis and Peridot warp away to the barn.
“Bye, Peridot…” Amethyst says, saddened by the loss of Peridot’s presence.
Steven goes over to Amethyst.
“Hey, it’s okay Amethyst. You’ll see her again, it’s not like she needs you to be with her. Plus, she has Lapis, she’ll never be alone.” Steven says, putting his hand on Amethyst’s shoulder.
“Yeah, you’re right. She doesn’t need me.” Amethyst says, a little bit happier.
