Summary
“Hi,” he murmurs.
“Hi, Captain boomerang.”
His laugh is quiet against her skin, breath hot against her ear. And despite herself a heat rises to her cheeks.
“Wasn’t it beautiful?” he asks softly, “The ceremony I mean.”
“Yeah,” she says. “They're disgustingly perfect for each other.”
He snorts, “Right? It makes me sick,” His arms tighten around her waist and she hates herself for noticing. For a few moments they sit there in peaceful silence listening to the chatter around them and the music in the background.
Then Sokka breaks the silence, “I think Aang knew from the beginning.”
She blinks, “Knew what?”
“That Katara was it for him,” His voice oddly vulnerable.
“And you?” she asks before thinking, “Have you ever felt that way about someone?”
