    Summary

In the Bible, there were two women who both had the same name yet had vastly different paths in the interwoven story of our Lord Christ.

One was the daughter of a King, a spoiled daughter as such - her vile selfishness would behead a saint, the princess afterward always depicted as a figure of evil.

In contrast, the other lady, the mother of apostles, would see with her own eyes the resurrection of Jesus our Lord.

My name always reminds me of the pair, and how both affected the destiny of Christianity through goodness and through murder. Whether I am named after one or the other will soon decide my fate as Duchess and mayhap even as Queen of England, and whether it would be one of treachery or of hope.

For I am Salomea of Bavaria, soon to marry the Duke of York.
