Reader is finishing up a five-year sentence in a wizarding prison at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean when she consents to an arranged marriage and is shipped off across the sea with her new husband, while on temporary release to attend her father's funeral to settle the debts he left behind. Reader doesn't have a name, but does have a background and family members.
INFO: Your parents are dead (condolences). You're American (condolences x2). You killed someone in an illegal duel at school in your final year and were sent to prison for it (you deserve it).
