Summary
Lost in the wilderness after a tragic plane crash, the Yellowjackets soccer team is left with only one choice: survive or die. As days pass and fear slowly turns into something worse, the line between faith and desperation begins to blur, forcing the girls to decide who — and what — they’re willing to believe in.
When Lottie finally finds her voice, becoming something close to a spiritual guide for the others, Natalie stays on the outside of it all, clinging to logic as the only thing keeping her sane in the middle of the madness.
Until, after a hunt, Lottie chooses Natalie to lead beside her — partly as a way of recognizing her, partly as a way of keeping her close.
And maybe that’s the real problem.
Because when two people so painfully opposite are forced together, everything becomes a constant push and pull between devotion and resentment, trust and fear, loving and hating each other so intensely that, eventually, the difference between one and the other no longer seems to matter.
