   Summary

   Resources are running thin, and that includes human resources. They’re running out of convicts to send down for the exploratory blood ocean descents, so the COI higher ups demand that they keep this next one alive. Long term.

   Inspired by ctrl-shift-alt-9's posts on Tumblr: What if Simon was told more about the mission and actually given a chance to succeed, leading to his freedom. Especially since (even with the circumstances) he did a pretty good job piloting and navigating the SM-13. Understandably so, the post actually gives Simon a regular courier job, but sorry Simon, here you're going back in the Lung, full time.
