They’ve got a good thing going here.
Katsuki moved in with Shouto right out of high school, they’re both killing it as heroes, and most importantly, they’ve got this roommate thing down to a science.
It’s not that Katsuki can’t stand being without him, but maybe things are just better when Shouto’s around, and they’re good together, like all decent roommates should be.
So on the rare occasion that he’s gone, it’s pretty fucking awful, and now it looks like Katsuki might be approaching a future where Shouto doesn’t want to be here at all, and it’s Katsuki’s own fault.
If only he knew what he did to piss him off like this.

“Fuck’s he doing here? Thought he didn’t drift,” Katsuki mutters.
All Might raises an eyebrow at him. “Some are probably saying the same thing about you,” he says mildly.
Which -- okay, yeah, maybe a point’s been made, but Todoroki Shouto’s infamy goes back a lot further than Katsuki’s situation. Fuck, it even predates Katsuki drifting at all.
“That’s not the same thing, and you know it,” Katsuki says.

Katsuki was beginning to think that maybe he was imagining things, and that all of that shit he saw as flirting was just Todoroki being himself, not real attempts for them to be together. Real promises of something just like this. He thought he was goin’ crazy.
But it feels real enough as Todoroki's careful hand slips from Katsuki’s wrist and then delicately intertwines their fingers until their palms are pressing against each other flat.

Shouto kisses Katsuki again and again. Cupping the back of his head with one hand, his fingers curl at Katsuki’s neck. The white part of his bangs flops forward and even the red side starts coming loose from its gel hold.
He presses his whole body against Katsuki’s, holds him there, forcing his back against the other floor buttons. He kisses the corner of Katsuki’s mouth before going down to kiss at his neck.
Katsuki’s whole body thrums with the feeling of him, heat buzzing under his skin. He feels tipsy all over again—laughs out loud.
