This was a hero, a true hero. He wasn’t just smart and strong. He was kind . He was compassionate . He was real . This is what Izuku wanted to be. All Might’s smile had always seemed the best and brightest. It had always brought Izuku comfort, but compared to Hawks, it seemed cold and fake. All Might said Izuku couldn’t be a hero, but... Hawks said All Might was wrong. Maybe Izuku couldn’t be a hero like All Might… but, he realized suddenly, he didn’t want to be like All Might anymore.

After Power Loader examines Izuku's skill level by making him design a support item for the underground hero Eraserhead, he accepts Izuku into Yuuei's Support department. It's Izuku's first day there but he has already managed to catch everyone's eyes.
"Aizawa looked to Power, who was just as shocked as he was. The kid just practically described a universal super-weapon. Something of that caliber could send the world into a frenzy if word of the capability of this invention came to light.
Not to mention, Izuku is only a 15 year old.

The Symbol of Hope looked out at the ring of determined faces. The banging was getting louder and louder, threatening to break through the thick metal walls. Duality turned away to stare, face pale, where the walls were starting to dent. "Shit, we're out of time."
"Get this right, Deku."
"GET GOING ALREADY, DAMN NERD!"
"Go, Deku. Save us."
The green-haired man nodded, turned to Ground Zero, and reached out to clasp forearms with his brother, his rival, his friend. "See you on the other side, brother."
"You bet." The hero grinned slightly and shoved him to the portal. "Now go!"
The last thing he heard before the swirling light overtook him was an earthshaking roar.
