Summary
King Kuei reclaimed his kingdom from the hands of the Dai Li and is trying his hardest to take everything back under control.
But then, he discovers that he has a supposedly dead Prince Zuko in his custody. The Dai Li had kidnapped the eleven-year-old prince shortly after the Siege of Ba Sing Se has fallen. They attempted to ransom him back, but the newly crowned Fire Lord Ozai showed no interest. The child has been locked away within the Dai Li’s walls ever since.
Kuei is NOT okay with this.
He needs to scream. He will do that. But first he needs to get the boy out of that nightmare.--

Summary
Peter Parker, like any 14 year old superhero mutant, really wants to catch a break. And yet somehow, he never gets one. He's just a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, nothing special, so what gives?
Well, that's only if you don't look at his biology ever since the radioactive spider bite. Or his extensive track record of running away from his guardians and that he was homeless for a bit. Or the amount of people in his life that have died because he's some kind of bad luck charm. Or that his foster-dad is Tony Stark now.
Or the fact that he was randomly kidnapped one morning on his way to school, and now he's in an alternate universe with a bunch of strange vigilantes that keep stalking him.
He thinks they mean well, but they're really weird. Besides that Red Hood guy. He's pretty cool. Though something about them- especially Nightwing- is familiar, that's not important. He has enough on his plate right now, considering there are multiple people trying to upend the fabric of time and space. He can figure out the other details later.

During all of this, Danny's parents are slowly crossing the line between strict and abusive. Summary
"We're going to be alcoholics by the time we're thirty," Sokka sighed.
"You think we'll live to be thirty?" Zuko asked, honestly thrilled. Sokka had pretty good instincts. Perhaps Zuko should reevaluate his long term goals. He could start by having long term goals.
A more likely alternative was that Sokka was just a hopeless optimist. It just went to show, you never truly saw another man until you stood shoulder to shoulder against a fleet of war balloons intent on raining death upon the city you loved.
Zuko was just a normal guy with normal interests. He liked theatre, burglary, crotchety ostrich horses, watching the Blind Bandit crush her opponents in a glorious display of skill and violence... just your standard banished prince things. It wasn't his fault he kept stumbling into rebellions and uncovering long-buried secrets. Fine, maybe freeing the prisoners was on him, but he was completely innocent of all other treason. Zuko was his father's loyal son. He'd never betray his nation.

Peter trades in his gallery of trauma for the Bats’ rogue gallery as he adjusts to living in Gotham, losing his entire universe, and living with the ghosts of the Avengers. Summary
Prince Zuko, first of his name, has a lot riding on his shoulders. His father is constantly playing his children against each other dangling the throne in front of them as leverage. He knows his future has already been set in front of him. He will marry a woman of his father's choosing, have children to continue the line of Sozin, and (hopefully if his father doesn't take him out of the line of succession) rule the fire nation in a way his father approves of.
most importantly right now he needs to avoid scandals. the world already has a close eye on him after his "training accident"that resulted in his scar, and he knows that no one can discover the deeper darker secrets he shares with his father.
So falling in love with a peasant and hiding that relationship from his father and the world is not the smart thing to do. But when has Zuko ever done the smart thing.
