"Boys!" He hollered. "Lunch time, come on!" He said as he sat the food down at the picnic table. Tommy wasn't at the playground, and his gut sank a little further. It was fine though he was probably with Techno and Wil.
Techno and Wil emerged from the forest, looking breathless but smiling. They had twigs in their hair and pine needles on their clothes. Blaring alarms were going off in Phils head.
Tommy wasn't with them.

Or: Tommy gets kidnapped and spends thirteen years in complete isolation as a psychological experiment. Phil, Techno, and Wil try and bond with him, but they mightve bit off more than they could chew.

Summary
The world ended approximately thirty-two days ago.
Not for everyone. Most people would probably say that the world ended seven years ago, when a virus overtook the world and turned most of the world into mindless, cannibalistic monsters. When the world shut down, when the world changed for good.
Thirty-three days ago, Technoblade would have said the same thing.
But now Techno knows better. Techno knows better, and Tommy Innet is dead, and the world ended thirty-two days ago.

Summary
Tommy is deeply, achingly aware of his friends’ kindnesses. Phil had been the one to offer a spare room, with the only catch being a cost of rent far cheaper than what it should have been. But Phil had only shrugged with a slight grin.
Phil is great like that. So is Techno. So is Wilbur.
Tommy…isn’t. He just isn’t. He has nothing to him, he’s substanceless—and he feels it, in the way that the frigid winds in the August nights threaten to blow him away, like he’s made of nothing but sand.
Tommy imagines that death will be like that. He imagines that he’ll close his eyes, and his body will finally break apart and decay right then and there. He imagines that that will be the only way his memory persists—like stubborn sand hidden in the creases of the carpet.

Tommy decides that life is just too much. His friends decide that Tommy is wrong.
(In which Tommy tries to kill himself, and his friends work to bring him back from the ledge).

"Don't do anything to him," Tommy manages, heartbeat throbbing and throbbing. "Please."
Wilbur frowns, but it's Techno who steps forward. "Tommy, he's not going to do anything," Techno tells him cautiously. "You don't need to worry, alright?"
To you, Tommy would say, if he was stronger. He's not going to do anything to you.
But he doesn't. Tommy keeps his mouth shut—whatever it takes to stay.
When Techno and Wilbur Soot-Watson anger a bully, it shouldn't be an issue. They are as untouchable as they can get, for students anyway.
It's unfortunate that Tommy, their foster brother, isn't. Being their soft spot, it only makes sense that he becomes the next target.
