This was an odd little earworm of a plot bunny that wouldn't leave me alone. I'm much more inclined to shorter works, so it's a bit of a patchwork story.
Note on the tags. Petunia is... Petunia. She is not really 'Nice' or 'Good' but she's not 'Mean' or 'Evil' either. She's a selfish, self-centered woman with a brittle sense of self-esteem and a drive to be recognized as successful in her own right. I tagged it 'Good' because that was the closest I could get to 'not the horrible person from the book, but not really even close to a Molly'.
Also: I will not be tagging every single person who appears in the fic, only those with reoccurring roles. This is not a bashing fic and I've done as best as possible to give rational(ish) 'good intentions' explanations for the canon shenanigans.

This is the story of a Harry Potter who grew up as a Dursley and is Perfectly Normal (and also a wizard). He thinks magic is brilliant but that the non-wizarding world is just as cool.
He's got a family that loves him (in their own slightly dysfunctional ways) and is the same little boy-- but not the -same- little boy he's always been.
And he's on the train to Hogwarts.

This is Harry's POV of the An Ode to Normal timeline. It is a -much- slower pace than AOtN and attempts to smooth over some of the canon headaches via universe tweaking. All major plot points (other than the Dursleys) remain the same as of now.
This can be read independently of the other works in this collection.

This is the story of a Dudley Dursley who grew up as Harry Dursley(Potter)'s older brother(cousin) and was perfectly normal in every way.
He's not that good at maths or talking to snakes (he's better at Unicorn(French)) but he tries his best and that's what counts. He's loyal and hard-working and a badger at heart-- even if his nickname at Smeltings is 'Bear'.
This is the story of Dudley Dursley and how Hogwarts shenanigans rarely contain themselves to Hogwarts… especially when your brother is Harry.

This universe's Peter Pettigrew was many things, but Slytherin was never one of them.

Quirinus Quirrell has been Quirrell and Quirinus and Q, but he's always been the sort of Ravenclaw that was driven to know -why- some knowledge was forbidden.
Tom was never Tommy or Thomas or Tam and has always been Voldemort (and always been Tom), and was the sort of Slytherin that never cared about the why's at all.

Because of the intertwined timelines, dates and locations mark the start of each section, but some sections cover multiple years (and some only parts of a single day.) Full timeline of the Harold'verse can be found in the worldbook fic.
My Quirrell (and Tom) are not as canon-compliant as they might have been, but the same can be said for most of the Harold'verse. I hope you enjoy them regardless!

This is a worldbook (or wiki) for the Harold the Normal universe. It contains my notes on characters, locations, plot points, running gags, a bibliography, etc.
This story 'verse has completely gotten away from me. I have a LOT of threads going at this point and it's bogged down my ability to get words on paper because I'm worried about contradicting myself. So this is a 'fic' in which I will be sharing all of my in-universe notes (and how they differ from canon).
