Shinyu thinks of the rollercoaster ride the weeks have been since he met Dohoon—highest highs and the lowest lows—Dohoon had taught him to feel them. He thinks of staring at his phone screen in the dark, obsessing over the same message like an infatuated teenager. How one word could send him soaring or crashing. The blunt tip of his pencil racing over blank page like a knife gliding through butter, with inspiration bursting in his head and no sign of the artistic block he’s been facing for months. Even though they’ve only met a few times so far, each one, Dohoon never failed to shake him so deeply.
He thinks of how he knew, for certain, that moment everything was illuminated in crystalline clarity—just minutes ago when Dohoon said his name, in that husky, low voice of his, like melting honey, like molten sunshine. With such wistful and passionate desire Shinyu's heart clenched into a fist.
It all makes sense now. Shinyu is very attracted to Dohoon, both physically and emotionally.

I was supposed to (I said I would) post this author's note as a chapter 2 to 'quietly, love has begun', but I'm so sorry to end up posting it as an individual AO3 post like this, for a few reasons - the fic is still at the top of the tag rn and I don't think anyone will see even if I post a chap 2 (and even if someone else had posted I wouldn't want to 'bury' their fic); this note turned out to be 1600 words, and 'quietly, love has begun' was actually a massive 31k words oneshot so I really hope it's okay I'm posting this final additional author's note about the fic like this. I'm sorry to anybody annoyed by this and I won't do such things again! I was really planning to post this note as a chap 2 to the fic but I honestly don't think barely anybody will see even if I do now. And thank you if anyone was actually checking back repeatedly on the fic because I said I'd post this note there originally.
