Then he’d drawn the curtains and locked himself inside.

Summary
It turned out to be even easier than Han expected.
As he boarded his flight to Tokyo, he popped a couple of strong edibles he knew would make him sleep. The plane would be his transformation portal. It was the tool he’d use to leave everything behind – his depression, grief, and guilt, his personal connections, memories, and belief that life was anything more than a game to be played as entertainingly as possible.
When he awoke on Japanese soil, he’d be Han 3.0, the earlier models that had caused him pain and self-loathing be damned.
