Dick fucking Grayson sure has a way of derailing all of Jason’s plans, that’s for sure.
He was expecting to find something different. An exhausted Nightwing leading city repair and rescue efforts, clearly overworked. A stressed and worried older brother, concerned about his little brother’s injuries from the big bad Red Hood. Even something related to Jason being the Red Hood, whether it was pissed or confused or whatever. Not–
Not this. Not a bundled up lump of man with unwashed hair and empty eyes lying on the bed in a messy hotel room, talking about having seen Jason before (despite Jason knowing he hasn’t) and implying that Jason is going to take him to die.

Red Hood comes looking for Nightwing. Jason Todd doesn't like what he finds.

Barry contracts a contagious virus, and the League has to stay quarantined until the vaccine is finished. The only problem is, the League doesn't know that Batman doesn't work alone, or that the Batman they're working with right now isn't the Batman they know at all.

Traught, whelmed, and feeling the aster, he’d said. Well she wasn’t feeling any of those things right now. In fact, she was rather distraught, overwhelmed, and definitely feeling the disaster. Heavy on the dis, as she felt a rib crack under her hands.
She’d seen him still and silent before, he was a Bat, contrary to popular opinion, Nightwing excelled at still and silent- when he wanted to. But this- this was wrong. The wrong kind of still, the wrong kind of silent. His face was twisted in a grimace even in his unconscious state. She refused to think of him as clinically dead at the moment.
The X-Pit had consequences if you weren’t a meta. Most of them had gotten to avoid them, thanks to Halo, but Nightwing had still been recovering. And now… they weren’t sure he would.Note that Comment Moderation has been enabled due to an influx of bot comments and “offers” for art. Bruce came to hate Death-Cast some years into his vigilante career. So what if he wasn't going to die in the next 24–21 hours? He could very well still die at the 25th hour and never know if they didn't call on time.
They didn't call him on time for Jason.

He could never be like Cass, someone the Bruce actually relied on, more than that, actually listened to, and trusted. It had been so long since Bruce had listened to him.
