Summary
If there's one thing Steve Harrington has learned about himself over the last few years, it's that he'll do almost anything to protect the people he cares about.
Steve Harrington defeated a faceless monster with nothing but a nail-filled bat and sheer terror to guide him.
Steve Harrington defended a group of kids from 'rabid dogs' and an even more rabid teenager and got a plate cracked over his head for his troubles.
Steve Harrington just spent the past several hours being tortured by agents of a foreign superpower for the crime of being best friends with a toothless thirteen year old.
So, when Steve Harrington thinks to himself, in the depths of what is definitely not a full-blown panic attack, "If Jonathan doesn't stop this car right now, I'm going to climb over the backseat and strangle him to death with the stupid fucking ascot I've been forced to wear for the past two months." He means it.

Summary
After being adopted by one of the richest families in Hawkins—maybe even the richest—Seven Harrington thinks he’s found his forever home. Sorry—Steve Harrington.
On the surface, Steve is everything his parents wanted him to be: charming, privileged, and perfectly put together. But the truth runs deeper. Before he was “Steve,” he was Seven—one of Dr. Brenner’s experiments at Hawkins Lab.
For a while, Hawkins’ golden boy act is enough. But as strange things begin to stir in the town—things that feel all too familiar—Steve realizes the past doesn’t stay buried for long. Secrets leak. Powers slip. And the boy who once thought he’d escaped the Lab may have to choose between protecting his perfect new life or becoming the very weapon he swore he’d never be again.

Summary
Stevie Harrington just wanted to go to school, and party, and be a fucking teenager. She never asked to be a part of any of this. But then Will Byers is missing, and not long after him Tommy Hagan disappears too. Chief Hopper tells her not to worry, that her friend will show up soon, and to just sit back and let them handle it. But, well…
Stevie’s never been a great listener.

OR Stranger Things Rewrite but with Fem!Steve to cope with the finale. Incredibly, despite this being a straight steddie fic, it will be more gay than the actual show lmaoSeason 1: Complete

Summary
King Steve was just another rung in the social ladder. Billy had climbed it before, swiftly and easily. He knew who to talk to and what to do to make it so that he was on top. Only, Hawkins isn't shaping up to be anything like the previous places he'd lived. Steve Harrington was hiding something and it sounded like the government was involved. Not to mention the weird group of people he'd somehow fallen into cahoots with. He hadn't planned for any of this, least of all wide bambi eyes that seemed to see stright through his walls.
OR: I gave Billy real friends because I can and he's not sure what he's supposed to do with that or the fact that the cute boy he's supposed to be socially usurping is covering up multiple deaths.

Robin's detective work began the moment Steve got a job at the ice cream parlor. She definitely did not sign up for his coming out in the Starcourt mall bathroom, and then for the queer mentorship of mini-Byers.

Summary
Nancy and Steve never dated, but they are very good friends. How does Season 1 change, or the rest of the story, if Steve and Nancy were just friends, and Steve wasn't a total asshole? How much can one flap of the butterfly's wings shift everything we know about these characters, their relationships, and stories?

Summary
Steve knows that everyone is waiting for him to get back onto the ice, to brush it off and return.
But he can’t and it’s humiliating, because he was never weak, not when it came to skating.
On the ice, Steve was separate from all other things in the universe, he was weightless and completely untouchable. And now, he’s like a bird with clipped wings.
So yes, he knows he can be a little bit of a bitch nowadays.
Or: Steve starts skating again, and maybe falls in love.

Summary
You would think the shared trauma would bring them together, at least some level of understanding or civility, but instead, all that existed between them was a building resentment. Resentment at the other for surviving.
Or
Finney Blake is a dorky and awkward social outcast.
King Steve is an arrogant, and charismatic popular kid.
But then Finn killed the murderer who kidnapped him with his newly discovered medium abilities and Steve fought a demon from the parallel dimension the government is trying to cover up.
You would think nothing could surprise him anymore.
Enter 1984 and a boy who looks oddly familiar.
Or
Steve Harrington is Finney Blake and tired of this shitSeries

Summary
It never made sense that Steve just dropped Carol and Tommy and they let him. They were a tight knit group and Steve got cheated on, beat up by the guy Nancy cheated with, and then their friendship is over just like that? No way. Carol's boys were hers and she wasn't letting them go without a fight. Even if that fight was with some cryptid freak without a face.
Warnings for violence and bad language. The romance is minimal. -

Summary
Steve believed that every gay man should have heterosexual friends who were in a relationship with each other and always ready to cover for him. So, in his case, those friends were Carol and Tommy.

Summary
Ponyboy is sitting in Tommy Hagan’s room, a rich kid who the Harrington’s have decided he must befriend to keep up the Harrington reputation. Pony personally thought that was bullshit, but he wasn’t going to argue. A few days into living with the Harrington’s, he discovered exactly what kind of people they were. Violent ones.
Or: Ponyboy moves to Hawkins a year after he sees three people die and becomes Steve Harrington.

Summary
Carol Perkins is the last person Robin Buckley expects to see at a roller derby exhibition—right up until she's body-checked into the boards. But skates and unresolved aggression aren't Carol's only motives for being in town. She and Tommy Hagan have a wild proposition for Robin and Steve Harrington: revive Operation Hot Racks, the ridiculous plan Steve and Tommy cooked up at thirteen to steal all their dads' money and flee to an island paradise filled with bikini-clad babes. Carol can't promise the island paradise or babes in bikinis, but she can promise millions…and the truth about their dads' involvement in the destruction of Hawkins.
To pull it off, the four will have to deal with unresolved feelings, untangle a web familial lies, and weather the emotional chaos—plus whatever's going on between Robin and Carol.
Friendships will be tested. Sparks will fly. And Hawkins' darkest secrets will be uncovered.

Summary
And logically—a small part of him knew this would happen, it was bound to. He's not stupid. The world isn't big enough, not really. Not Hawkins, with its one diner and two gas stations and too many ghosts. It's just a handful of streets dressed up like a town. So yeah, maybe he knew. Maybe some night, some drop, the universe would fold in on itself for a third time and bring the two of them together again.
But Steve doesn't even has time to sweat, to breathe before Eddie's voice is cutting the air in two, sharp and angry.
"What the fuck are you doing here?"
OR: they were always going to crash into each other again. it just wasn’t supposed to be like this (and it definitely wasn't supposed to involve Eddie's revolver).
OR OR: my big fic for the sandpit universe that brings our boys together again!!Series
