The air before them began to shimmer. There was a bright, iridescent rippling, then Angels Flight materialized in the distance, framed by dilapidated buildings and a copper-toned sky.
Ty grabbed Kit’s hand. Kit was too surprised to react. He simply followed Ty through the portal into the unknown.
This fic is: canon divergent KitTy with a Jimon B-plot starting around the halfway point. The story begins in a similar place as Last King of Faerie, but instead of traveling around Europe, Kit and Ty travel to Thule. And a lot has changed there since Julian and Emma left it three years ago.

That sounds kinda fancy, but look: This fic is 1. Kit having a wide array of criminal/con-man skills that Ty thinks are amazing, 2. Kit and Ty having their first ever proper friends in each other, 3. exploring what Kit's life is like with Johnny Rook (who eventually dies in the fic), 4. Kit believing he's basically human only to find out he's the First Heir (which is not gonna be as stressful as canon) and has some very interesting skills because of it, and 5. Kit and Ty being lowkey obsessed with each other as friends and then eventually boyfriends.

It forced a shudder through Kit’s body, sliding down his spine like a snake and piercing through his stomach, crashing aggressively to the floor. He swallowed. How did this happen?
Kit’s on a mission with his family to lift a curse in the Blackthorn Hall, but is taken by surprise when Ty suddenly appears in the kitchen with his twin sister’s ghost. Since their last interaction ended with him getting his heart broken, he intends to avoid them at any cost. It becomes really hard when Livvy mysteriously disappears, and Ty comes to Kit for help.
Turns out that avoiding your own unresolved feelings towards your old crush isn’t as simple as it sounds. Kit learns this the hard way.
