And now, he was standing right in front of him.
Morgan's vision blurred almost instantly, his entire body shaking as cold sweat accumulated at his nape. Whether it was from shock or withdrawals, he couldn't tell.

Eons upon eons have passed since Hadrian "Harry Potter" Black became Death's master. Now expertly wielding powers that preside over both death and magic throughout all of existence and his world now long gone; Hadrian after mourning his friends and long lost world, eventually took Death's offer and stayed by their side balancing the cosmos. Now millennia afterwards Death saw it fit to drop him in a new reality where super heroes and villains exist often facing world ending disasters like every other Tuesday. His new unofficial duty is that he must help keep this universe from imploding on itself all while on "vacation". No big deal…right?

The wind was blowing through my hair. People on the street stared. That dude on the bike almost hit a lamppost from being too focused on watching a white-haired girl in combat boots bridal carrying a dude in a leather jacket.

He was about to turn the key in the ignition when Bruce spoke one more time. “You are going to save lives, chum.”
“I know, B. Trust me, I know.” With that, he started the engine. He made sure to rev it obnoxiously on his way out.

Bruce makes Dick move back to Gotham for a case that requires him to go undercover as Richard Wayne in the upper echelons of Gotham's social scene. However, the more he tugs at the strings of the mystery, the more the line between Richard Wayne and Dick Grayson begins to blur. Oh, and it doesn't help that the asshole with the eyepatch keeps showing up with what seems to be an express purpose to mess with his case, and his head.

Slade had noticed that his former apprentice had been going through some changes as of late. He's been ill, exhausted, and showing signs of fatigue. And when he was back in the tower, he did nothing but sleep, when he was usually causing mischief with his so-called "friends." Which was strange, even for him. In the beginning he merely surveyed the young hero. But when he noticed that someone else had taken a liking to watching the boy, he took action. What the mercenary did not expect to find was the mythical Court of Owls. And for some reason they wanted Robin. So he did some research of his own. Turns out the boy isn't as normal as he thought he was.
Or rather Slade kidnaps Robin, accommodates him through his Talon transformation, and now has to deal with the aftermath of his sudden impulse to the help the damn kid.

He has learned to deal with his trauma through having many hookups and lovers, trying to gain back a sense of control. However, Dick is spiraling, and putting himself in risky situations, just wanting to feel loved and worthy again.
Slade is also at the gala - he had turned down Dick’s past advances because he knew that Dick wasn't acting right. However, he wants to stop Dick’s risky self-flagellation (not to mention, he also has feelings for Dick) - so, he makes up his mind to become Dick's exclusive lover by the end of the gala.
