“I did say that doctor was full of shit,” Morro reminded them.
“History is art,” Zane said. “Not science. Even an expert such as Dr. Saunders can be mistaken from time to time.”
Morro gave him a disbelieving look. “It was only forty years ago, Zane. People are still alive from then. It is not hard to ask a simple question of those that were there.”
“That guy rubs my skin the wrong way,” Kai told them. The man had made him uncomfortable since they met.

“He’s just a historian,” Zane pointed out. “What could he have done to spark distrust?”

The plan was simple - fool Chen, break his staff, put him in prison and enjoy another day in Ninjago as its heros. Where things went wrong? Kai still tries to lodge the cause in his mind. Maybe it was the betrayal, or the kidnapping. Perhaps the lack of communication, or really just his villainous side coming to life. Among many things and people nothing was certain for more than few days. But he had to keep moving.
Or a rewrite of s4 that blooms into a what-if Kai abandonded ninjas and instead became a vigilante. (In my mind, it's a long-shot)

This season, a mysterious woman finds and recruits four students. All of them need to learn to fight and control their elemental powers. Meanwhile, a technological threat strikes from underground.
The story is themed around original characters, though a few well known Ninjago people will be present!
