"You've only been in Zaun for a week, Jayce."
"Yeah, but my car's Check Engine light came on last night when I was on the way home from the grocery store."
Mel hummed sympathetically. "Is it going to be expensive?"
"No, it was the stupid O2 sensor. They didn't even charge me, just reset the onboard computer."
"So…?"
Jayce made some sort of noise in the back of his throat. "The mechanic helping me had his sleeves rolled up almost to his elbows."
"Ohhhhh," Mel said in sudden understanding.

Summary
Viktor Reveck has been in love with Jayce Kiramman since he knew what his heart was for. "Get changed, brush your teeth, and get into bed," Viktor suggested, "and I will come and tell you a story."
"One for each of us," Naph bargained.
"Perhaps," Viktor said. "We shall see how well-behaved you are between now and the end of the first story."
Naph looked at his sister. Ama looked back at him. Some wordless communication passed between them, and then they were racing for the bathroom.

Summary
Caitlyn has a box full of Man of Progress merchandise prototypes pilfered from her mother. Jayce is embarrassed.
Viktor has a doll version of Jayce that he makes clothes for and lavishes with praise and affection. Jayce isn't jealous.
But he might just need a Viktor doll for himself. For revenge purposes, nothing else.
He certainly isn't making the dolls kiss. -

Summary
Viktor owes his old friends Vander and Silco a lot. But taking on the care of the badly abused young omega that Vander won in a card game is a hell of a lot to ask. They might owe Viktor, for this.
Still, Viktor isn't the kind of alpha who can turn away anyone in need, and Jayce is very much in need, so Viktor resigns himself to hosting a long-term guest and enduring his own personal hell in the form of a stunningly beautiful, sweetly-scented omega that he would have to be some kind of monster to even think about touching.
Even as Jayce begins to heal with the help of Viktor and his friends in the community, Viktor knows that the omega is destined for better things than an old, lame alpha with no real status to speak of.
Jayce—eventually—thinks otherwise.

To make it the same one he woke up in all those months-years-a lifetime ago, especially so. But Viktor can’t help feeling it’s far better than he deserves.
Viktor emerges from the Arcane, alone. He’s not sure he can navigate a world that doesn’t have Jayce Talis in it.
