Summary
Life sucks, there is no sugar coating it.
Especially school, walking down the hallways was humiliating, eyes staring holes into the back of your head, the sound of hardly concealed laughter, the unsavory comments, judging every inch of your being. Teachers had long given up on stopping them.

Summary
In the year after the Great War, Kim Dokja waits for a man who never comes home.
Rain. Lilies. Daughters. Water under the bridge...
And a letter in the pocket of a dead soldier's uniform.
This is a tragic story about love that survives everything except time, the weight of what-ifs, and the unbearable choice between living on or catching up with those we've lost.

Summary
Anger isn't new to you, you were raised in anger. Riches don't amuse you, the mere mention of marriage disgusts you. Your only focus is blood and spilling it. You've been groomed to be a bloodied machine, that's what you are. You're barely human- you're something else when the prospect of murder crosses your mind.
Uttering your name is a death-sentence. You're a vicious sadist. That's what you will always be.
You don't have time for pleasure, you don't have any interest in getting to know anyone deeper than the simplicity. You can't. You're too broken to do that, you've been in too much shit to let anyone in.
Dating isn't an option, especially not another man. They will kill you. Bury that feeling inside until you die. They have their own thing going on, they don't need labels

Summary
Dating a literal criminal came with its own sets of problems. Yoo Joonghyuk had expected it to some degree, but Kim Dokja just had to make it absurdly hard to maintain his sanity. Or whatever was left of it.

Summary
On screen, Kim Dokja looks at the countdown. I didn't get to die today and suddenly I'm in TWSA. In a cabin which story was never told in the novel. The novel that ended today, but never truly reached the end. I want to read, Kim Dokja thinks feverishly. I want to read the end. And to do that, I'm going to have to survive.
In the present, Kim Dokja was yanked up by the collar. It didn't even occur to him to get away from the Protagonist. His head felt like it was stuffed with cotton, as if he breathed some sort of thought-annihilating mental miasma. The incoming violence was bound to happen.
"Tell me the truth."
Kim Dokja's eyes flew open. He had closed them with the expectation of getting his face caved in, not a question.
📖
A non-linear ORV character study/reaction fic where Dokja's suicidal ideation is a bit more obvious from Day 0. Kim Dokja's Company, who had been whisked away into an open space under the starry night after the destruction of the Throne, watches Kim Dokja's memories and realizes that he had intended to die during that fateful subway ride. Not knowing yet that the truth is even more devastating.
