I haven't even read chapter 3 yet, but holy shit
This is one of those fics that is absolutely life-changing, although I'll probably never reread it. (purely bc of the intensity, for my own sanity it might be best to limit myself to a max of once a year)
This feels so much more real, so much more genuine than any other fics with the "beach trip to a no from Neil" premise that I've ever read before. The raw emotion and the language, absolutely amazing how it conveys everything. To the extent of me getting emotional, not even over the fic, but over this from my own life that make me emotional. That's how convinced I am of the emotional state of this fic. Currently crying over the past and everything that is gone. I miss my life.
God, this is genuinely just the fic. The one. And I'll think about it for a long, long time. Gonna actually leave this bookmark public, that's how much you should read this fic.Finished reading the fic... God, I love it. Probably one of the best Andrew characterizations I've read, I love that he isn't just violence, he is reason, he is reaction, he is acting based on his own past experiences. Ahhhhh

It's everything I love in a manageable amount, for when you need the feels, but don't have, in my case, weeks if not months to make it through 200k words

But it seems the house has finally found a new owner. And somehow, this is worse, worse than empty year after year. Because at least if it was empty, Andrew could pretend that he might come back, that his family might still own the house and had just decided on a different summer vacation spot for a bit.
But this… This confirms it. He won't see him again.
