Summary
When kids ask "Trick or Treat?" at front doors on Halloween, they never think much of it. It's just what they've come to know as the way to ask for a treat on this special night, the 'trick' part of the prompt almost always forgotten.
Izuku Midoriya is in for a cruel surprise when he's unexpectedly met with one big trick when all he wanted was a few treats.
Lonely and sad, expecting nothing good to come out of trick or treating anymore, he's surprised again when a boy dressed as a wolf fixes his whole night with a simple gesture.

Kacchan slides a very familiar letter across the table to him and asks, “What the fuck is this?”
Izuku really feels like he’s about to explode.
Because that letter is possibly the culmination of the biggest feelings he’s ever had: love, and all of it for Kacchan.
Izuku wrote it at thirteen. When he knew that his best friend since diapers would never return the feelings, but Izuku felt like they were so heavy they needed to be shared.
He wrote the letter, poured his aching, crushing tween heart out onto two and a half pages of college ruled notebook paper, and addressed it in his best calligraphy. To: Kacchan. Izuku remembers his thirteen year old self debating before adding on a little explosion sticker.
Now, at seventeen, he’s debating the pros and cons of jumping out of the nearest window.
OR: Izuku writes Katsuki a love letter. 4 years later, Katsuki receives it. Izuku is still very much in love with him, and Katsuki is very much not.

Kids of Izuku’s age wake up slowly. That’s what he’s heard. They wake to soft light through curtains, to a parent leaning over them with a gentle smile. A kiss pressed to their forehead. A warm hand cupping their cheek. A quiet voice telling them it’s time to get up, that breakfast is ready, that they’ll be late for school if they don’t hurry. They stretch. They complain. They roll over and steal five more minutes under the blankets. Somewhere in the house, plates clink and something warm sizzles in a pan.
That’s what normal mornings are supposed to be. Izuku doesn’t remember the last time he slept without fear.

Ever since he was very young, Izuku has been used by the Hero Commission for his healing quirk. Instead of going to school or growing up with a family, he’s forced to spend his days healing heroes in critical condition and enduring experiments. That’s all his life has ever been, until Aizawa finds him locked away in the cell Izuku has long since learned to call his room.
