Summary
Izuku is five years old the first time he's saved by heroes. He's an instant fan of the woman in pink with her cheerful smile and the man with his ice powers and fine-boned features, even if they both refuse to tell him their names.
For most of his life, Izuku has been the centre of villain attacks, but he has never been injured. Every time, he's saved by bright, unknown heroes—heroes who smile at Izuku, and ruffle his hair or ply him with hugs, and seem mesmerised by how small he is.
Heroes that the rest of the world doesn't believe exists.

Summary
He wasn’t a masochist—at least, he didn’t think he was—but he found that spilling his own blood was… satisfying in a way. It was like he was punishing himself. Punishing his skin and flesh for the sin of tainting the world around him with evil and misfortune.
Dazai laughed to himself at this thought—He was doing the exact thing he had recently instructed Atsushi to stop doing. He was pitying himself. But his life was already an endless nightmare, wasn’t it? It wouldn’t make much of a difference if things got worse.
Dazai wrapped the bandages back around his arm, plastered his signature charming grin back on his face, then started to get ready for work.OR
Dazai is done with life, but Chuuya isn't ready to let him go just yet.

Shouta's gaze moved to his hand, where a tiny, chubbier one wrapped around his index finger.
He looked at the kid whose eyes are puffy, red, and shiny like he's been crying and giant green irises stared at Shouta’s hand with a level of focus that only a child can have. He turned his gaze to the mother intending to get her attention but the notion died as he scanned the woman, distracted with a not-so-good looking phone call if the worried frown pinching her face and her fingers wringing in the front of her cardigan is any indication.
He sighed and let the kid play with his fingers, cooperating by turning his hand over when it was gently tugged, and watched the toddler count the lines on his palm in tiny murmurs and intense concentration, poking each one as he went, tired little sniffles every few seconds filling the silence. Looks like Shouta isn’t the only one who had a shitty day.

Aizawa Shouta, a new prohero, planned on getting some sleep on the train after a long exhausting day, like he always does, before heading back to the police station, but his plans get left at the train stop when a young mother and her toddler board his train.

His voice was always a strange thing.
It felt weird, to Chuuya. It felt like his throat wasn't supposed to make any sounds besides vague noises that spoke the language of long-dead gods.
Chuuya didn't like words— especially when he first startled awake and found himself half-drowning in a pool of black blood.
But through his voice, it brought him knowledge of things that were never meant to be known.
Stories, songs, melodies— Chuuya listened, and he learned.
In those weeks after he clawed himself outside the giant crater filled with upturned debris, he heard things through the wind, through birds, through murmurs from people that gossiped about the dirtied child that had more wounds than skin.
They were just noise. But he liked them, back when they held no meaning to him but being sounds that giggled in his ears.
Chuuya hummed and copied tunes before he ever learned his first word.
