Power flows freely for him, coming in waves and floods of potential. Tim dances with it, holding its hand and guiding it towards those who have little hope. The citizens call it a miracle, call him a hero and a saviour, a beacon of light. Gotham knows better, the city hisses and growls at him, it pushes back with darkness and crawls inside the weathered bricks cracks to lie in wait. For a human cannot outlast a city, unless it destroys it, and this one seems to want to save it.
Tim likes to think the fatal flaw of his city's plan to get rid of him is they never factored in the fact he wasn’t really fully human.

Jason didn’t know when it started. If he thought about it, he remembered the bright light that surrounded his mom in her last days. After that, he noticed the way some people lit up, outlined in a growing brightness that emitted from the edges of their beings. The brighter the individual, the closer they were to death.
At the parties that Bruce insisted on dragging him to, he expected the dim light from the tired old businessmen who drank too much and were limping closer to their ends, glowing a little more every time Jason saw them.
What he did not expect was for the 12-year-old neighbor kid to light up like a damn Christmas tree the second Jason laid his eyes on him.

Tim readies his staff and clearly he has been underestimated once more—you’d think these people would learn at some point.
"Come on, we can't stay here!" he says and grabs Damian's arm.
"Don't- Don't touch me!" Tim flinches away like he's been burned.
Finally, Nightwing joins the duo and cradles Robin protectively. He glares at Tim.
"What was that? Why didn't you knock him out as soon as he had Robin?"
or: Every Robin deserves protection, except for the one that needed it the most.

Summary
Tim Drake ends up getting killed by Jason when he goes and confronts Tim and tries to get him to stop being Robin. Once Tim sees behind the mask of the man who is beating him, he knows his job is no longer needed in keeping the family together, so he lets death come to him.
But only for him to wake up and be in the manor, watching as everyone continues their lives as a family again and for him to just watch, remain where he is as a ghost.

The light from the Hexstone dimmed. Nothing floated, nothing glowed, and Jayce felt disappointment rise in his chest. With a sigh he took of his goggles and froze in the movement.
Before them stood two people, or better said: one lay on the floor, while the other one was standing next to them, holding a big... hammer?
They had only a second to take in the scenery as the one with the hammer pulled a lever on its handle and with a loud humming sound the head split open to reveal a pulsing multi-coloured light.Neither Jayce, nor Viktor knew, what it meant, but on one hand it didn't look safe and on the other hand the figure on the floor had lifted their head to reveal their face... and it was painfully familiar.
Before he could think Jayce ran forward, his hands raised and put himself between the armed man and... Viktor?---
An absolute normal experiment pulls the future versions of Viktor and Jayce back in time. Good for Viktor, because it had been only milliseconds before his former friend and partner, the one he had trustest the most, had tried to kill him.

He no longer has to wonder what would’ve happened had he not taken Dick in. He knows and he doesn’t think he’s happier for it.
He’d made his kids lives worse and he’d have to live with that.
