Kazuha isn't sure why, but he can't help but feel as though he should know who this mysterious wanderer is. Perhaps it's that familiar scent of Inazuma that has made him interested in the new individual.
It doesn't help that Kazuha sometimes catches the other glancing in his direction.

Scaramouche leaves Sumeru City on a sunny day.
Buer had fussed over him, making sure he was 'all set' for his journey, looking at him with those wise, green eyes of hers, as if Scaramouche hadn't attempted to usurp her from her position as Sumeru's Archon a few months passed. A part of him quivers in shame, knowing he is undeserving of her care. But it's the same part he's learnt to ignore for the past century, the one telling him that he owes everything to those who picked him up and took care of him when no one else would, even if they had (supposedly) betrayed him in the end.
He tells himself it isn't guilt that makes him submit to her undignified and unnecessary fussing.

Summary
Three stories born out of the headcanons I have for the connection of MDZS and TGCF. I recommend you read the tags and the notes for more information on each story. I also recommend that you read this series in order so you don't get confused on what's happening. I honestly didn't plan on making this a series when I wrote the first part of this but here we are and I don't regret writing them one bit. Introducing my headcanons!
~ The Five Great Sects don't have Gods because they were part of the 33 Gods Hua Cheng killed.
~ The Heavens never assigned new Gods to those areas because they thought that Hua Cheng claimed it as his territory.
~ Shi Wudu allows Shi Qingxuan to watch over GusuLan while he takes YunmengJiang after his Second Calamity.
~ Jiang Cheng is the stray of Shi Wudu (A stray is what you call a mortal that a God took care of, see Ban Yue as an example of this)
~ Jiang Cheng is a subordinate of Hua Cheng and Xie Lian- Words:
