Tim had given everything, his childhood, his parents, his future, and Bruce was still treating him like he was one misstep away from becoming the next psychotic villain of the week. But even that was better than when he was treated like he didn’t exist at all.
It had taken him breaking for a fucking apology.
He-
No one else had to deal with that.
Tim lets Bruce marinate in the silence. Lets him think about what he’s done, about what led up to this. He hopes that Bruce hurts just as much as he does, if not more.

He leaves her in the dirt, watching as the light drains from her eyes. Watching as everything turns red red red."

“Other times, he’s in a dark room. The concrete walls are damp and covered in mildew, and the only source of light is a lightbulb jutting directly out of the wall. He’s strapped in a chair, legs and arms tied, and there’s something holding his head in place. There are people arguing somewhere just outside, a man and a woman. Their screams get loud enough until eventually everything goes completely silent.
He sits and waits in dread for what feels like hours, just begging for something to happen. And then it does. The screams come from him this time.”
